I love make up so much as well! I find it so relaxing and it makes me feel so good. U said the word “beautifying” that reminded me an article where this topic is totally haram for Muslims women. According to the conservative point of view being beautiful with make up is considered showing off. I’m a revert, half Italian and half Greek, my parents totally rejected me, especially because they are so attached to the culture, especially my dad, and they feel I “cheated” on my own identity. As u said identity is way more than the country you were born into, I am extremely proud of my origins, as I’m content with the religion I chose to follow, even tho being alone, with the “world” against u makes me just wonder if I’m doing the right things, as if I can wear make up or not that it’s just a small thing but it means a lot to me because I want to live a normal life without feeling I’m displeasing God.
