as someone who started with Bleach, then moved to Naruto and finally watched One Piece... no... not underrated at all. it's good, i like it a lot, but it's got flaws for days that the other two handle better, more or less. dont get me wrong though, i would watch all 3 of The Big 3 all over again, it simply doesnt measure up as well as you think it did.
@@UltimateGamerCC That's not what underrated means tho... Underrated just means it's not as appreciated as it should be, and if you've been on the anime community in the early 10's you know they were talking about Bleach like it was one of the worst anime of all time when it really wasn't.
@@UltimateGamerCC Even if it is part of the Big 3, as I already said, so many people before TYBW were saying it was trash and doesn't deserve to be part of the Big 3, you just have to look for some older videos to see that. Being underrated has nothing to do with quality it's all about public perception and you can't deny that Bleach had been the punchline for a lot of people before, regardless of wether it was part of the Big 3 or not.

OMG I also just started Bleach for the first time like a few weeks ago! It’s actually my first time watching any of the big three (missed the wave as a kid) and Bleach so far has been SUPER entertaining and easy to watch. I hope you love it!!

Ichigo and Rukia have peak chemistry for two lead characters. Romantic or not, I adore their interactions. Edit: To those of you calling me out… Fair enough, just leave me and my ship alone.
Majority of their scenes together in the anime is filler. Orihime gets the romantic spot more in the manga,but for some reason the studio decided to cut it drom the anime and add Rukia scenes
@@Luan._.Mark1 I read the manga too. Guess what? THE CHEMISTRY IS STILL THERE. The anime just accentuated what was already there. Just to clarify, I have no problem with Orihime. In fact, she’s a gem who will not be slandered in this household, and her romance with Ichigo is at least standard for a Shonen Battle manga (aka underdeveloped but cute enough). It’s just that everything with them was already there with Ichigo and Rukia, only better.

21:38 Anime did cut some context, but same day Ichigo bumped into Orihime at school, she was having a daydream about Ichigo... so our Orihime is secretly in love with our MC and totaly loses her mind when he's close...
There 2 type of kido. Binding spell/bakudo example the Kido that rukia to restraint Ichigo and Attack spell/Hado example the kido that rukia use on shrieker(the hollow in episode 4).

Let's go Bleach. The pacing will be like this until around episode 15 - 16 i think, after that it will be quite hype, especially when some characters will start to appear, you'll hate an love them 😅.
. . . dont lie to the man... i will give it that it's stylish, the soundtrack is really good and the power system is interesting, but you're not being honest here, it's got it's flaws, for sure. and considering Kubo-san would've alternatively been a Fashion Designer rather than a Mangaka, you'd think that the characters would be dressing where they stand out more than they do. i mean honestly 80% of the show's characters are in Gi and/or basic dress clothes... like seriously, what the hell?? they dress the exact same all the time and only the openings do otherwise. i still like Bleach, dont get me wrong, but i will call out bullshit when i see it.
Cap, bleach is definitely great but nowhere near the best at anything you mentioned, well except style, you have a strong argument for that. If anything, animes like AoT, Fmab, HxH, Dororo are contestants for the "best" at these categories
i personally prefer the DUB, Ichigo's VA is Johnny Young Bosch. if the name doesnt ring a bell he was the second Black Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and he starred in the movie of said franchise. in any case i feel he voiced the DUB exceptionally,

Ichigo is a badass MC honestly hes a lot more mature than most he has the funny element too but he is more serious and has more of a relative character arc

Shinigami in Japanese roughly translates to "god of Death" in English, in all English media they translate that to mean "soul reaper" because the localisation thinks that saying "god of death" would be traumatising to people. In a show that has gratuitous amounts of blood and violence in it. this is why Localisers suck, you should hate them more.
I don't even know why they feel forced to translate that word. In french version (my main language) they just use the world Shinigami as a normal term. They don't need to stranslate it.
@@Taiga-16 English Localisations and especially American English have a - I'll be frank with you Talga, they have a puritan problem when it comes to things like this. Americans have to contend with focus groups and survey lists being made for their media that state things are either good or bad. This is all outside of general public and their look at it, this is hyper focused and very isolated thinking. For instance, in the US Harry Potter book 1 is called "the Socerer's Stone" and the original reason for it being changed is because the focus groups said that Americans associated "philosopher" with "satanism and devil worship" so they changed it and created two different titles that no one who reads the books cares about (it's also why several references to British sweets are taken out and replaced as the focus groups and surveys say Americans would be pulled out of their reading if they read a word they didn't know). It's the same with Shinigami, focus groups would argue that the foreign word wouldn't appeal to the broadest audience possible so that is out (it's also why a lot of names were and are changed from their originals) and "death god" sounds "too evil for a hero" and would be a way of pushing people away from the material.
i enjoyed all 3 of The Big 3 and still like them to this day, but man do they ever got flaws... for one thing as much as Kubo saying that he would've been a Fashion Designer, 80% of the characters are in Gi and/or basic clothing, Bleach suffers from a SERIOUS lack of Drip, it's like he did it that way to save him trouble.
if swords are you favorite in anime you are currently watching the PEAK of Swords in anime. The inspiration behind Demon Slayer, JJK, black clover etc. BLEACH greatness. Also you mentioned the pacing of Bleach please IGNORE the haters, Bleach has the best pacing of the big 3. obviously it will have some slow episodes to build story, the world etc but thats normal for literally every anime but besides that BLEACH literally is about ALL the smoke and getting to the point.

bleach had a very bad reputation in the mid 2010s, and i do think *some* of that was a bit deserved. its just that tite kubo, the mangaka, really didnt mean or plan for the series to go that long, but bc it was so successful, shonen jump obviously wanted him to continue. you can imagine that that created a bit of friction, not to mention the horrible conditions for weekly shonen jump mangaka in the first place, so the later story got a bit shaky here and there. we can be lucky for example that eiichiro has not had a complete breakdown until now, but that man is i think a special kinda workaholic. for bleach i always found it so tragic he was under that much stress bc the premise of bleach is one of the coolest. its a bit different from both one piece and naruto in that he isnt really motivated by a *dream* in the story, but by the circumstance hes found himself in. it hasnt got that very optimistic, child-like wonder that both one piece and naruto have in some ways. that can either be a good or bad thing, depending on how you play it. whatever the case, i was OBSESSED with bleach for a while in my teens lmao. even with the weakness of the story later - the first arcs of bleach are absolute fire. extremely cool and exciting. cant wait to see the rest of your reactions
