@@stevvvvveperryMassive Cleary fan but how does he get the NSW jersey again after that performance by Moses. You could be right with the 2 different 7’s for NSW and AUS
QLD were a victim of their own hubris; they believed that their strike could win the day, the clones of Billy Slater. Slater is thinking more of attacking weapons, but they didn't even get close to scoring a try. Madge had the perfect answer: Moses and a big, mobile, defensive-minded forward pack, but most of all, the long game. Freddy never had a long game. If Freddy had a long game, the last six series would have been more like 5-1 to NSW. Madge is all over this; as long as NSW has the best kicking game and the better pack, we have the blueprint for years to come. Another concern for QLD is that DCE, Hunt, and Munster are getting older; young Walker is brilliant but is not the answer for Origin. If NSW keeps Madge, we will go on a run.
As a Queenslander, I found that it was more of a desire to be the “plucky” side again rather than matching it with the big and powerful forwards. We’ll never know how origin would have played out with Tino and the two Tom’s, but in saying that, Billy didn’t do a good job at covering for those losses. Physically, they were outmatched, and getting big forwards equal to the task will be important to stopping the blues from going back to back
The last 2 series NSW were suffering from injuries, this series the toads were suffering from injuries. Still a monumental result for Madge and the boys. Leave poor old Freddy out of it, Freddy won 9/18, second to only Gus and Freddy played 31 games for NSW, the most played. He is a blues legend. I will wait and see what happens next year, it is origin and more than 40 years of experience has taught me to take nothing for granted.
@@theflyingcircusmen3726 Exactly right, no go forward to allow for strike; cart before the horse. Yes, they were missing key forwards but it will probably happen again next year. QLD needed to look at their forward stocks more seriously, they went for the soft option and didn't back new players. QLD will be very different next year.
The difference is Madge is a great coach, and has shown this through his career. he is a strategist and knows how to rally the boys and put a plan in motion. He helped Rabbits get there in 2014, he did it with the Kiwis last year and he has done it a gain with the Blues. Billy was a great player, but that doesn't always mean you are a great coach, just look at Trent Barrett!! Billy won the first 2 series with a pretty good team and a Blues side that wasn't sure who it was, Freddy was at the tail end of his contract and I think he was at a loss, he picked on incumbency not form and then would chop and change when that didnt work. as Gordy said, he doesn't remember playing against Madge which is fine, but he is a true coach and I think that the Blues Dynasty has just begun. Up the Blues, in Madge we trust!! 💙
Another reason NSW won, is because we finally picked players in their preferred positions. ( Latrell is an exception, because i think he is better at centre anyway).
Slim Shady is what made Eminem I hope that persona never dies. Regarding hearing some different content from Em I think he's been doing that over the last 5 or so albums he just chucks in some random shit from time to time. On another note one thing I've wanted to mention is the role of Jurbo in Origin as captain, Madge did the same exact thing with Jeses Bromwich at the Kiwis, made him skip but played a bit part on the feild but his impact was probably felt more off the feild.
Kiwis vs Kangaroos next is gonna be the horniest forward battle ever when you consider how great that kiwis pack was last year but also the greatness aus can pick from, it’s like blocker roach’s wet dream
If Trell or Turbo can play 3 games, NSW win the series. NSW have the platform to grind QLD out over 3 games and this series bar game 2, lack x factor that QLD have to break a game over. Either Trell or Turbo tip it in NSW's favour. Love Critta and Best, but either Trell or Turbo break that grind before half time.
Turbo at fullback yes. In centres no. Critta at centre is way better then turbo scoring hatricks. Defense wins games, critta is the best defensive centre in the game. Trell at Centre is pure perfection.
The death of slim shady, best album by far, has 1 or 2 songs from each album he's made, if you listen to the album backwards, it's actually slim shady ending Marshall, Slim going nowhere.
