California’s GNP is nearly equal to that of Germany. the California annual budget is always a surplus. as a former Californian, who worked in government in San Francisco, poor people from the East Coast started arriving and San Francisco in the 80s because the welfare system in on the East Coast and I’m talking primarily New York City informed poor people who were becoming homeless, that Calif had the highest welfare stipend in the country and the weather was better. they would do this around the time in fall and people would take a bus across country and get off in San Francisco. We unfortunately did have the highest welfare stipend because we had so few on welfare at the time.. however the legislators realized why poor homeless people were showing up on our doorstep, they lowered the stipend to be equal most provided by states. But the word was out by then and there was no going back., poor homeless people poured into California both northern and southern. We are the largest state and of course, if there’s going to be crime, there’s gonna be more crime. Most homeless people are like all of us, they had jobs until they didn’t, and they had homes until they didn’t. Let’s see if any of you show up one day and find out you no longer have a house or an apartment to live in nor a job.. and you must sleep on the street. I can surmise that within 2 to 3 months, you are either taking drugs or drinking to blur the reality of your life every night. Most of the homeless on the streets were never drug addict alcoholics until they became homeless and had to live on the street.

CA is a beautiful state in terms of weather, but you can’t live your life in a cesspool because you don’t want to put on a jacket three months out of the year. No thanks, I’ll gladly stay in MD where they won’t tolerate bums and vagrants living and crapping on the sidewalks and walking into stores and openly stealing up to $900 in merchandise at a time. CA has been mismanaged into the ground.

Harris as San Francisco’s DA was busy finding alternative programs to keep young Black people out of the prison track. requiring them to finish their schooling and whole jobs as an alternative to going to. There was a study during her run for president for the first time, to see if the lies Republicans and some progressives were telling were telling about her prosecution of cases. she did not in fact send more Black men.to prison. But there was a law that had not been rescinded., which required first time, sellers of drugs to be sentenced to 20 years in prison without the judge or the prosecutor having a say in the sentencing. There was no ability to intervene in that sentencing. There were many black and white children who were raised without fathers that had nothing to do with Kamala Harris being AG of California.. Bill Clinton ask Joe Biden at the height of the crack epidemic to write a law to deal with those selling drugs. Biden wrote a tough bill., but Republicans refused to pass the bill, unless they get out amendments to it. Those amendments. requirement for all sellers of drugs to receive a 20 year sentence no matter if it was the first time or the 30th time they were caught selling drugs. Democrats were caught between the hard place. the rest of the bill had some significant efforts to help black communities who were being smothered by crime coming out of the crack epidemics. There were Black congressman who signed onto the bill. It was passed with the amendments., which played havoc in the black community because so many first offenders were sentence to 20 years in prison. None of this had anything to do with Kamala Harris.. however as is the attorney general and even as the district attorney she had to comply with the law. where there was any possibility to divert a defendant to an alternate sentence she did. However, those were a few and far between.. not only for Calif, but all over the country

Mistake, Black people make about someone who is a president of the United States is that they cannot uplift only one group of people. they are there to govern all people and if they introduce policies, say for people who are poor, they must be for all poor people not just poor Black people. The Black people in this country are done on the local and the state level.. you want decent police, then you must be part of an active voter base that elect a mayor that reflects your point of view, because that mayor will appoint a police chief that reflects his point of view and down. You cannot elect the Barack Obama and expect him to change the quality of life for Black people from the White House in. Your local elected officials and your state officials and your congressional elected officials are the people who can bring change your life. unfortunately so many people are unaware of how government works, they think if they vote for one person every four years and that person doesn’t deliver a change in their lives then that person failed them. First of all as a citizen of the United States and a voter you have to do two things every four years., you have to elect a president of the party that represents you and then you have to make sure you send to Congress a majority in this case Democratic membership to both houses of Congress. no legislation gets out of either house without a majority vote. if you don’t have a significant majority in the house and the Senate, there are no pieces of legislation that can help a significant number of people will ever get to the desk of president to sign into law. the thing about Democrats is they do not seem to understand how important midterm elections are either. midterm elections are generally returning senators to Congress. 40% of Democrats who voted in the general election, do not vote in midterms. which means Republicans, who always vote all the time will hold them majority in the Senate. and that means like it did when Trump was president Mitch McConnell, who was then the speaker of the Senate held 400 pieces of legislation that came from the house and did not even allow the bills to be heard on the floor to be voted down. He simply did not bring them to the floor consider consideration. They did this also to Barack Obama, whom they hated for being elected. For a short period during Obama’s election, Democrats had a majority in both houses and he was able to pass the affordable care act. but he was stone by McConnell and the Senate after that, I think in the midterms they took back both the house in the senate. So my point is people need to understand that it is not your president who is going to change your life in this country, on a day-to-day basis. It is your local elected officials, it is your state elected officials, and it is your congressional representatives. It is really important to know how your government works, which allows you then to set your expectation of what they can do for you and your family..

I remember reading somewhere a few years ago, I can't remember which book it was, that said that the first black president of the US won't be of "foundational" African-American descent. And exactly as this book predicted, it was a half-White, half-Kenyan man that became the first black President of the USA. According to this book, it's almost impossible for a "foundational" Black American to become president on account of African-American culture, which is widely rejected by most White Americans. Being born however of a non-African American culture is seen as more acceptable to White Americans. And so a mixed White/Black Kenyan man is infinitely more acceptable to White America that a "foundational" Black American. Similarly an Indian/Jamaican black American woman would also be more acceptable to White America than a "foundational" African-American black woman. Basically Black American culture is FIRMLY rejected by White America, and so if you come from that culture you have ZERO chances of being elected President. So a Jesse Jackson had ZERO chance of being elected President, while a Barack Obama was able to easily sail through. Twice.

Her mother had a Ph.D from Berkeley and was a professor and cancer researcher at a prominent university in Canada (McGill). Kamala never had that kind of academic success. She attended a mid-tier college and mid-tier law school. I don’t know if she’s not as smart as her parents, or just didn’t care about academics.

Kamala and Maya were being raised by a single parent. I think the academic choices by Kamala Harris had more to do with her mother’s ability to pay her tuition, rather than her capacity to learn. Hastings law school is a part of the UCB system.. And I think Kamala attended before University of California’s tuitions went sky high. I have no idea what her GPA was, but I can assure you that students were trying to get into Hastings the same way they were trying to get into the Law School in Berkeley. As Attorney General of the state of California, Kamala Harris oversaw 1000 lawyers and 3000 other staffers.. I think she was as smart as her parents and a few other people, she just selected a different career. Kamala Harris had to run all her campaigns as the first woman seeking that office and as the first black woman seeking that office and she always won. so forget the snobbish reading of her intellectual capacity by whoever wrote the above trash. She does not share the African American experience like us! She's not balling on the milk crate and eating Rib Tips in the hood! She likely had a gas station in the hood!! lol. Indian people are awesome! But they aint BLACK!

Her father is likely a mix of West African and British and her mother is South Asian one skin color does not define who you are entirely. If you look at her and her sister Maya, totally two different colors from the same parents. As in families, whose ancestors are African and British or Irish or Scottish.. the reality of white people enslaving Africans once they arrive on the shores of the Americas or in the islands.

You’re right. She is not black. father is Indian-Irish born in Jamaica. Mother is Indian. She is NOT a Foundational Black Person. She just cosplays black to get votes.
