Without Angle's knowledge, Sharmell gave birth and gave the child up for adoption; who would turn out to be Jason Jordan. Years later, Sharmell would come to WWE with her then husband, Booker T. While she would try to avoid contact with him, Angle started chasing and harassing his former lover around, causing a feud between Angle and Booker T. Unfortunately, Sharmell would never come clean to her husband that Angle and her used to be a thing and the feud was never solved. Twelve years later: Kurt is back in the company, with his ex-girlfriend's husband as a commentator on the Brand he runs. Little does he know that his son has actually been in the WWE all this time on the SmackDown brand. Corey Graves comes to him with this information, trying to keep it under wraps for Angle to solve and maintain. But as time goes on and the lead gets hotter and hotter, Angle has no other choice to come out with the information in order to try to preserve his legacy. This is also done to remove Booker T from commentary, as he was only due to commentate throughout the Summer until David Otunga was finished filming his role in the latest movie he is in.
