Resipisco I didn’t question, I made a statement... In my opinion you already view them as token characters so to further explain my thought process is futile because you don’t view them as actual fully fleshed out powerful characters.

Resipisco That a valid statement under the assumption that the reason I teamed them up is because they’re black females... Monica is extremely powerful, has police training, an expert combatant, & has lead the Avengers. Storm is like you said an “icon”, but furthermore is extremely cohesive with this team. She already has a strong relationship with Oya being a mutant, native to Africa (& being persecuted while living there), & most importantly the fact she discovered her. A competent writer & comic fan would see all of the MANY ways this team could combine their abilities to be an even stronger collective. However Storm is the linchpin; her powers compliment Oya & Monica’s abilities tremendously.

Resipisco Due to the fact Storm can provide an endless cold battlefield (or possibly hot) & she can withstand both extreme hot & cold temperatures there’s tons of ways a good writer could incorporate both her & Oya’s powers. She can also sense things going on in the sky for miles so I’d love to see some aerial fights with her & Monica. But most importantly both Storm & Monica can act as mentors for Oya. Storm is an expert combatant, tactician, & weapons master.
