Flint Marko AKA Sandman is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains. Next to Kraven, Electro, Venom, Doc Ock, and the Green Goblin. in the Ultimate Universe, he's more dangerous and has no remorse.
Sandman is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains. I also appreciate the depiction of him being a criminal out of desperation and not being crazy or maniacal. He’s a powerful individual with complex motivations, particularly a sick daughter. Reminds me of another favorite of mine who’s complex, Magneto. Great stuff Sage.
I've always thought, and appreciated, that Sandman was one of the characters the live-action movies didn't actually fuck up. He's a favorite character, but I've always wondered if his powers and Dust's from the X-men work the same, and if they fought, who would win?
In the Era of writers making Spider-Man an unstoppable one man army I like that Sand-Man remains as a Villain that he just can't physically beat no matter how strong he gets. Spidey has to outsmart him rather than out muscle him.
@@NewSage Imagine Spidey having one of his "I've had enough" episodes and goes 100% against Sand-Man. Only to cut to Sand-Man's perspective and we basically see a toddler Spidey adorably kicking up sand.
It's such a beautiful old school, bad a** design for a supervillain that only gets more bad a** with time. And this was one of stanley's most amazing designs
Since you did the comic book origin of Marvel's Sandman, can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Cyclone since no one else has done an origin video of this Spider-Man villain?
How many of you remember seeing Sandman getting defeated by the Awesome Android in the Ultimate Spider-Man TV Show? Can you do comic book origin of Marvel's Awesome Android?
Does Sandman who got burned into a glass sculpture looking similar to Diamondhead? Can you do history of Diamondhead? Does Sandman look powerful in that green suit which makes his body feel solid?
Can you imagine if Flint's daughter was endangered by something other than him but something he can't protect her from? What if she is revealed to be a mutant? What if 'we' the readers, learn his family's secret, that his father, or any direct ancestor, was a mutant, and he has always feared he may one day have fathered a child that could be a mutant? This concern has plagued him for most of his adult life. He heard family stories of bigotry against mutants and mutant self-hate and saw the costs to one's personal well-being. This would explain his aggressive devotion to her, more than fatherly love but foreboding, wanting to protect her from himself and the world that hates and fears mutants. If true, imagine what her X-factor activation would do to his psyche. Imagine what he would do to protect her and, by extension, other mutants. Would he finally stay in the light or go deeper into the shadows, ensuring every threat that could harm her fades away like yesterday's sand? The possibilities are endless.
Is Sandman better off with either the Sinister Six or the Frightful Four? Do you think he's better off as a Fantastic Four villain instead of being a Spider-Man villain with how overpowered he is towards the web Slinger?
You know reading warhammer 40k made me realize Companies like marvel Could make stories like warhammer 40k and game of thrones With all the alien races. And empires and civilizations that exist in the universe Is having massive conflicts like an war hammer and Political groups and intrigue Disputes between ruling class In those vast empires like in game of thrones and Still have super powered beings And it could be very successful In comic form and animation ( It basically would be warhammer and game of thrones and the boy's comics all in one and. If any of you have seen all three of this, Franchises just Imagine What It would look like 😅 but It would be so cool )
Sandman is 1 of the few villains adaped good every time, even when show/movie/game/etc is a terrible made. Currently comics it is claimed that he have multiple diff personalities. William Baker and Flint Marko r 2 diff personalities, 1 good and 1 bad. In the Almagam comics he merged with Plastic Man and became Siliconman. Whom was part of the Terrible Three with Two-Faced Goblin (Norman Osborn aka Green Gobin mixed Harvey Dent aka Two-Face) and Scarecrow (mix of Marvel's Scarecrow and DC's Scarecrow). 1st appearing in Speed Demon (mix of Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider and Barry Allen aka the (2nd) Flash) and Etrigan the Demon) Nr 1, was being possessed Night Spectre (Nightmare mixed with the Spectre). Sandman didn't appear in Infinity Warp, so with which other Marvel character should he be warped with? Would be most fiting if it is or a Moon Knight character or a Fantastic Four character.
Excluding the Raimi trilogy, Which movie or TV Show do you think did a great job in portraying Sandman? Do you think John Cena would have been a best choice in playing him in the MCU?
Sandman 9? Thanos is a 9 iron Man is a 9 Spider-Man venom King and black they are nines Galactus is a nine Doctor strange is a 9 sandman is like a five or a week 6 he's just not influential across the board like all the other characters mentioned. Plus he's predictable he's never going to be fully good or evil he's 100% lukewarm he's like a Loki diet edition with half the fat lol definitely not a nine😅imo
