Fact,Nabbit'a mask is made more accurate instead of Bowser Jr.'s mask.Bowser Jr. just scribbled red on the mouth.Nabbit actually colored it very accurate.
This could mean that nabbit is someone that bowser jr follows who’s the greatest thief which makes sense why bowser jr doesn’t steal that much stuff as we’ve seen him fail before. He’s not a pro like nabbit
Nabbit is an odd character. I think why he joined Luigi has to do with his relationship with Mario. In New Super Mario Bros. U, he comes and steals stuff but in Luigi U, he is a playable character. What is Nabbit? Not Bowser Jr., because Bowser Jr., doesn't have ears like that, but it would only make sense if he stole Bowser Jr.'s bandana, because he does steal stuff! I personally think that Nabbit isn't wearing a costume and that the purple is actually part of him. But here's the question, what's under that bandana?
In a lot of ways, Wario actually makes sense. For one, Nabbit is invincible, just like Wario in Wario Land II and III. Nabbit also refuses to work with and instead antagonizes Mario, but is perfectly fine working with Luigi. Wario may not be able to fit into that costume in his normal form, but in 4 out of the 6 Wario Land games, Wario has a tiny transformation(which is often remedied by eating garlic). Since Nabbit can't grab powerups and instead bags them... Wario wouldn't be able to transform back to normal. In addition, Wario transforms into his normal self using garlic, not mushrooms, which would explain Nabbit's inability to power up.
OR WAIT! I KNOW! HE'S A NEW CHARACTER THAT STEALS THINGS FROM ANYONE, LIKE BOWSER JR.'s MASK THING! Not meant to be hate, but that could just be it, not more to it.
Nabbit is most likely his own character, though the idea of him being affiliated with Wario is interesting. Maybe in a future game the two of them could work together. I'd like see more of Wario and Waluigi in the platformers.
Adding to this, I think Nabbit is a *rabbid;* his occurance in the series could be linked to the Rabbids breaking off of the Rayman francise, getting their _own_ series, and ultimately ending up in the Mario series...

It does make sense mario and Zelda games are connected just look at super Mario RPG if you go near one of those mushroom hotel things you see link sleeping on the bed and in legend of Zelda orcarina of time you can see painting of some mario characters and in mario kart 8 link is also there with his own course so it's possible it's ravio
I think Nabbit could actually be a failed experiment. Think about it: He steals, he's a rabbit, he looks a bit like a shy guy, and he's got a slight split personality. E. Gadd must have gotten DNA from each character with one trait from Nabbit, and mixed them to create Nabbit! Just a theory.
I dont think Nabbit works for anyone specifically, he just steals everything. If you take a look at nabbit's mask, it seems to be a better version of Bowser Jr's mask, meaning he could have easily stolen it from him, forcing Bowser jr to make another one using his paint brush.
Nabbit came from super mario sunshine , (piantissimo) . Piantissimo (at the end of the game) got the paint brush Bowser jr. Used to shape shift . The other thing Bowser jr. Needed to shape shift was his mask his mask Was used to turn in to shadow mario , so piantissimo used these two items to turn in to nabbit
Now I'm totally asking for a Super Mario Sunshine 2! I'm sticking with your guess. What if the main bad guy is Nabbit and at the end it reveals he is Piantissimo? But I also have a guess of my own which is Popple from the Mario and Luigi series. :D
My guess leads to the always aggrovated thief, Popple. He steals, and since Mario isn't here and (nearly) everyone forgets about Weegee, especialy in the Mario and Luigi series, he teams up with him, could also be wearing a somewhat light jacket to protect himself from heat and ice, and his gloves and shoes kinda resemble the ones Popple has.
I have an idea of who he is, and I'm very confident about this. Kirby 64 was hosted by nintendo. Kirby's friends try to defeat the Dark Matter. When they do and the Dark Matter explodes, it went to Nabbit. Back then, Nabbit was nice. But the Dark Matter took over him, causing him to become a villan in the Mario Series. Nabbit is a new character. How you ask? Well Its not bowser jr, because in he final boss fight in Super Luigi U , If you play as nabbit, you can see that Nabbit and bowser jr are in the same place at that time. So No it couldn't be bowser jr. Its not very likely that its a skyguy or that its wario because.... How would that make much since? :| I'm looking forward to see what he/she really is.
I think Nabbit is Bowser Jr's clone created in Super Mario Sunshine and united Luigi while Mario was in Sarasaland rescuing Daisy to learn his moves and then betray him and become the final villain in a possible New Super Luigi sequel. And maybe Nabbit's got some hammers like the ones Bowsy uses, in his bag. And by the way, in Bowser Jr's Quest, he encounters Nabbit, doesn't know who he is and convinces him to join him. That's because those events take place in a different Mario universe, where maybe Nabbit traveled to and joined forces whith his clone on purpose...
I have a theory, what if nabbit is one of bowsers kids who decided to run away and dress up, it could explain how he got the mask, btw when I say one of bowsers kidsI mean a new one that didn't like his farther :P
Marioman303 id agree but if you remember back in super mario galaxy when Luigi was playable in the haunted mansion stage you still had to rescue Luigi as Luigi it could have been Bowser Jr but nintendo just didnt take out or replace Bowser Jr....
Koopa Kart i think i know it! We know thz opposit of mario is wario,, the opposit of luigi is waluigi, the opposit of bowser is dark bowser, but.. there is no opposit character from bowser jr.!! I think now nabbit is the opposit of bowser jr. Because they both have the 'mask' at his mouth! I think this is the true, but... maybe in the next games... we will know more! I always thought that Nabbit was a rabbit with a bad theiving habbit, he'll look into a cabinet, see a carrot and tries to grab it, and use a fork to stab it.

Celio Hogane no... That's a theory, but the game creators NEVER lie. The fans aren't hard, if it was confirmed that it was modeled after Nabbit, they'd just say so, and nothing would go wrong. It was a coincidence, and that's final.
I've already commented, but think: it could be Popple! They're both pesky burglars, love purple, carry a small, tan sack, make that weird noise, wear some sort of mask, don't mind being fully clothed in hot temperature, short, and wear gloves! And hate Mario! But in Luigi U, that was theoretically in a parallel universe, so that's probably why Nabbit was good.

I'd think that this would be hinting to an unfound trick in Super Mario 64 suggesting that the player would be able to unlock Waluigi, and Nabbit would be the rabbits that you'd catch with Waluigi. But then again, Waluigi probably is impossible to find in Mario 64. But that's just a theory... A GAME THEORY!
I have a few notes. It cant be Bowser Jr. because you fight him. And It has to be someone that hates Mario and understands that Luigi is always shadowed. In Mario's adventure, Nabbit steal from Toad houses that could have potentially helped Mario and in Luigi's adventure he did the whole thing so Luigi could get a kiss.
Nabbit is Waluigi hunched down in a costume its easy! piece up the facts! the color scheme, the shoe shape and color, the greed!, following Luigi? Too Easy!!! In Nabbits house, also purple, you can find many clues scattered around like thousands of flags proving that he is jealous of Mario and Luigi going on the adventures. The proof is everywhere!!! If you win the game as nabbit, you see Luigi get missed by peach while he sadly looks in the background. Nabbit is Waluigi confirmed! And don't diss me saying that he and nabbit are seen together in smash and Mario golf, how do you explain Mario and baby Mario and several Mario's!!!
Stingray Dude He could not have been hunching down for that long, sine he would get a neck and back pain. Also even if you try to hunch down, you'll still be big and you can't run very fast when hunched down.
Maybe Nabbit is Luigi's bounty hunter who steals Mario's stuff (because Luigi is never in the spot light, plus he's rich enough to hire a bounty hunter)!
Ik this is years later, but if you compare Bowser Jr’s mask and Nabbit’s, Nabbit has a custom knockoff of Bowser Jr’s. Also, Nabbit is a rogue. He helps both good and bad guys, as long as he gets paid, gets something in return, or a chance to nab things.
I actually think it's a Popple from the Mario & Luigi games. But here's the catch: you know how Bowser Jr.'s bib allows him to turn into Shadow Mario? What if Popple robbed Bowser Jr. of his bib, wore it, and transformed into Nabbit?
I think that Wario has one person working for him.. Nabbit. He snuck into Bowser's castle, stole a Nabbit, brought it back home with him, and now that Nabbit works to get good items for Wario.
It makes sense that Nabbit is bowser jr, because sometimes BJ goes against bowser, and also it would make sense if Bowser Jr. went against bowser because of all the years Bowser told him that peach was his mother and he was manipulated.
