alex smith lmao ye imma make a new account and become hopefully bronze or silver or iron THEN i will :D use my tricks and make then have a question mark every time
All hail SkinSpotlights. Doing the work that RIOT never would: showcasing a skin beyond just the splash art, compiling a champions' interactions into a single video, and even keeping people up to date with pre-patch PBE changes.
SkinSpotlights might as well work for riot if they’re gonna put that much effort into telling everybody about skins and reworked/ new champion interactions
@@archaeas i really don't get why you(not you, or you. or matt dunn, that dumbass) need to point that out that's actually useless information she's a fucking attack helicopter ok? and a furry.
Or hinting that Zoe, a former Targonian turned celestial, may be the one who caused the destruction of Neeko's tribe since in Zoe's lore she accidentally destroyed a village.
Just me or doesnt the "smoldering" part of the destruction sound like another world rune? We dont know IF someone found one or WHAT happened, but one world rune would make sense. Also the "Pale Trees" could mean the Patricite Trees where Ryze keeps the other world runes so that would make the connection. Another thing is, that the Oovi'Kat might be able to be revived with another world rune / the destruction could be reverted, so that would make sense to seek the World runes in the forest of pale trees. And as far as i have seen, she has no special interaction with any patricite related champ, so that might be a problem but i can still see it beeing possible.
The whole Vastaya and Vastayashai'rei thing I feel is reinforced by the fact when Neeko mimics a Vastaya, She says they feel similar but faded, which would is the whole belief that Vastayashai'rei were faded out after humans were introduced into the tree. Also for the 5th Champion, considering the interactions she has with Taliyah and the way she wants her to "Show her more of the world." Could be she met up with Taliyah along her travels and as we don't know the time this was set, it could be before Bloodline or when she arrived at The Capital. And since Neeko possibly landed near Shurima, this could be possible. (EDIT: There is the other quote with Tali saying about how she isn't the only one who changes, I feel this is pointed towards Tali's arc as a person and character with learning more of the world and her power, but this might lead to something deeper. Again, I'm very bias.) Some speculation and bias as Taliyah is just amazing and I want to know more but some brain food for anyone interested.
Nice catch! I really like this AND they even both have winter/ice skins as their release skin sooooo maybe it might be a skin universe story? Similar to pre-void Kass where it’s a main story canon based skin. I know it’s a stretch but your theory on Taliyah made me think about it lol
@@QtPieMarth I didn't think about that at all, really nicely done :D I see the connection but sadly I feel that isn't the case cause where Taliyah 'rocks' the Freljord tag on her skin being part of story about getting back to Shurima, Neeko's is Winter Wonderland which sadly I believe that'll be unrelated as that's in the Winter Wonderland "Universe" so to say even if the themes are exactly the same, but it's a connection I didn't make, really nice observation
The taric quote felt more like her ability to sense other ppls emotions and stuff enabled her to see the light in him. Or maybe she feels like they have a similar kind of "light".
I have never played Lol or even know most of the characters, but when RU-vid recommended Neeko's trailer to me... She became my favorite character for a game I have never played xD
The part about Taric might simply be that she, as a gentle, kind and goodhearted individual recognizes the gentle, protective heart and soul of Taric - It might be something as simple as her feeling a sort of kinship withim.
I'm so happy that he does lore I'm so, busy all the time and I get to listen while I work and or play league. I also have problems reading. I can't understand or see things when I read and hearing it makes it so much better, that's when my imagination can run wild. So thank you Necrit for doing this I've been listening for about 4 years now.
actually vastaya are just the combined spirits of humans and animal spirits, in other words. nobody fucked animals LMAOOO also Vastaya aren't furries, LOL except maybe like, Rengar or Wukong... they may be...
Vastayashaire = animal spirits in human bodies Vastaya = Vastayashaire + humans Three types of Vastayas: Human with blood of Vastayas or maybe spirits (Udyr and Nidalee) Human animal (Rakan, Xayah, Nami, Ahri) Animal a little human (Rengar and Wukong) Shapeshifters are differents I think More animal spirits than human
For me, she's a vastaya and not a vastayashai'rei, apart for her apperance which is obviously a mix between human and animal, she maybe see herself as vastashai'rei because it what it what told to her (we all know the bad habit some can have to consider themselves as "pureblood"), and the map show us Runeterra as it is known today, maybe some humans did came and died or never came back for any reason. So the two informations are not incompatible.
Actually, low elo is probably one of the least effective places for Neeko. Down there, people don't really predict what people will do, and thus pretending to be a melee champion isn't going to make them act much differently unless your copy is low health. Also, the Neeko's proficiency with trickery and game sense is probably not going to be helpful. High elo, the Neekos will be better, but the enemies will probably be able to factor in the chance of her showing up, the same as any other champ. It's the mid elo in high silver - low plat where she will shine. Where people are just good enough to react improperly to her deceptions, but not good enough to factor in the chance of deception.
I am pretty sure that anyone with map awareness will see that Neeko is missing and the person they fight might not be who they think they are. Also because they might think someone might be Neeko they might be more careful while fighting. Just the thought of a Neeko replacing a low health target might make people think twice before chasing.
@@zhangbill1194 Problem is that full health Ashe will chase a 10% master yi into enemy jungle solo to get slaughtered. In bronze there is no careful. There is only death.
so i'm a bit of a Shaco main and here is what this looks like to me (riot employee 1: okay lets make Shaco, but better) (riot employee 2: wont people catch on?) (riot employee 1: then lets just make her cute or something)
Not quite Went like this Riot employee 1 what do you think of this champion concept. Riot employee 2 that is just a female version of shaco. After a few days riot employee 1 comes back with a new design Riot employee 2 well it is different enough that people won't make immediate links to shaco.
I know this video was uploaded a year ago, but I think there is one very interesting quote she says that should be explored more. I don’t remember the quote thoroughly, but she said it in fear and it was something along the lines of “Neeko does not want to be here when... they arrive” or something. This quote makes me most curious of Neeko. Who is they? Why is she scared of them? It might be a very important part of her lore.
About the Taric-Neeko interaction. "The light in me knows the light in Taric" could also mean (Riot confirmt this abaut Neeko by the way) that Taric is just gay as well as Neeko is. Couldn´t it?
Her kit, her lore, her appearance, it’s one of THE BEST champions riot has ever made. HOWEVER, the voice acting is not only annoying, it’s also inconsistent, with them not really deciding if she will call herself “I” or “Neeko” or how much english she can speak correctly, and that whole “Boys are icky, all girls are pretty omg girls omg” thing is kinda overdone.
I actually think she is Vastaya, because she looks human with parts of chameleon body parts and colors. She might be more closely related to Vastrayashai'rei than common Vastaya, because she can shapeshift so easily, but if she was pure Shai'rei I would expect her to look more like the River King or a yordle, something humanoid, but not human. At least your video made me feel less annoyed by her speaking in such a... unique way :D
We aren’t even sure if that’s her true form, after she came to the east part she saw many humans. There is a massive chance that she created a new look for reasons that are unknown.
@@zema9401 Yep, Tahm and Evelyn are both demons representing the seven deadly sins. Tahm being gluttony and Eve being lust. See what riot is doing here? ;)
i think the light in taric and her is about being pure and good in your intensions, so she sees in taric someone like minded and doesn't mean it literally
I've actually been wanting to see a champ with a mimic mechanic for some time now. This may be personal opinion from the word use in the lore page, but I think that it is correct to call her vastayan rather than vastayashai'rei: the island was largely unknown, not completely unknown; her tribe was already vastayan before isolating themselves ("the last members of an ancient vastayan tribe remained isolated").
Lmao was about too look to see if necrit made a video on her yet and low and behold it was the first video on my feed. Always perfect necrit. Keep it up
Hi. I have a few quesgtons. First of all, if Neeko's island truly got destroyed by lava, could the reason to it not being on the maps mean that it's completely gone? If I remember correctly, there was a volcano in ancient Greece that exploded, destroying half an island. Second of all, if it really was Nagaekebouros who revived Pyke, what woukd the achieve with a murderous psychopath?
Mmmmmmm someone correct me if I’m wrong please, BUT I’m pretty sure there’s some mention somewhere, maybe in Pyke and Illaoi’s interactions or the like where it’s stated that it wasn’t Nagakabouros who resurrected Pyke. I really want to say that Riot either mentioned it themselves later on or it’s in the voice lines.
However, assuming I’m wrong and playing off the idea of Nagakabouros being the one to save Pyke, I have some thoughts. Regardless of the being Pyke was saved/resurrected by’s origin/motives, I think it’s pretty safe to say they would have some sort of control, no matter how minor, over Pyke. I mean, they literally changed his form into a different being and gave him non-human abilities. I don’t think it’s too far fetched to say that a being capable of such things would retain at least a minor amount of control over Pyke, even if it was just placing thoughts/motivations into his head whilst he was being transformed. That could be anything from adding name(s) to his list or even the entire inception of the list itself. Pyke could be anything from someone let loose with a task planted in his head to an unknowing pawn of some greater power, regardless of the source being Nagakabouros or not. Just some tired, hastily typed out on my phone with little to no editing so don’t mind me if it’s a complete mess 😅
actually, its ancient sicillia, pirenei(sry if misspelled,i know too much langages on my slovakian accent)where whole town got wiped down by pyroclastic strike after vesuv erupted
There is a quote of Ornn in game says "Volibear made the first river you do not want to know how", He may be responsible for the destruction of the island .
I don’t mind gay characters in league of legends if it adds to their backstory (as in Varus) but what does Neeko’s sexuality add to her character or to what we know about Runeterra. It was announced via twitter post which is why I and many others find the information unnecessary.
Uh, no, because Neeko has no interations with Jarvan IV. Just Male Champions -- she'd say that to any male she copies. It's because she's a girl, and a lesbian, so being a guy isn't something she's used to/comfortable doing.
Just finished watching almost all Neeko related videos in my recomended and questioning about Sho ma and her realionship with Nidalee and Nami then this shows up Great timing xD
Or Vel Koz found there little island and decided to deep fry it with his eye laser because the stuff was interesting and what do you do with new interesting stuff DISINTEGRATE IT OF COURSE
Well, you say Ezrael was probably just high when seeing himself, but he was very recent, and he was the one Neeko first cloned in the trailer, so I'm convinced it was a hint towards that. His field notes make me happy
It's speculated that the Taric line is Neeko pointing out that Taric's also gay like her. She has a somewhat similar line with Taliyah that references how in early development she was trans.
Yea, he's not confirmed to be gay in any form, although it is a thing throughout the community due to his fashion and way of talking to others. I see the connection but it falls flat in a couple places
@@Chris-fe1kx there is a line where when neeko mimics Tali saying " Oh, so I'm not the only one who changes." It can mean alot of things but I'm not sure in what way
Lore-wise, I don't think combining her being the last of her kind and her being lesbian a good idea. While having a more diverse cast is something nice, I think they could've waited for the next female champion to do that. That is, assuming they can't make offspring in some other way.
now that I think about it...some reptiles are Parthenogenetic. Meaning, they don't need males to reproduce, but usually need other females of their kind as a cue to do the "cloning" strategy (as in, give birth to what is essentially a clone of themselves). I think you might be onto something here XD
@@ciello1195 Parthenogenesis doesn't require two individuals, also she can breed with humans (vastaya were created that way over several generations) or with vastaya for a "purer" breed
correct me if I'm wrong but i believe that Taric is the aspect of life. So i think it might just be that since Neeko is so entwined with nature, she is connected through the let's say "web of life" or something like that
something obvious like the fact that the aspects of targon might be spirits that someone as in touch with the spirit realm as neeko is might recognize?
Short thought: isn't it possible that Neeko's tribe believe they are Vastaya Shai'rei, but there was some form of human mixing in their bloodline, perhaps just less than usual, or farther back in time? That would make her Vastaya, but may not know it.
What I find amusing about Neeko is that she feels like she was made to please the LGBT part of the LoL community, specifically the female side. However it also feels like a gigantic stab at the SJW part of that fanbase too. I'm wildly amused by this, it's clever while being just subtle enough to keep that part of the community from roaring as usual.
Necrit there is another hint in game that Neeko is not a Vestaya but a Vestayasheray, changing into Nami Neeko sais "feels same, almost like Neeko but Faded" which could refere to the Vestaya being a mix with humans
@WaffleDragon well they recently released the rioters coming out video and now a lesbian champ, i got no problem with that but its kinda odd, why does everything need gays now, Dumbledore is gay...Tracer is gay...Neeko is gay, etc...
I mean is there a problem with all the women’s sexual innuendos in the game or is it the fact it’s a homosexual champion? Literally has no impact on the game goes to show how immature and childish some Players are lmao
@@StinkerJon nah bruw, the sexual stuff is there to "sell" the game since most of the players are male anyways, sex sells bud, its old news, same thing how they added Lucian, it was "monumental" since he was the first black character and ppl were making a big deal out of it even tho nobody actually cares, they had Asian characters in the game for a long time but ppl were still complaining that there were no black ones, it just goes to show that ppl will always find something to complain about
my idea of the interaction with taric is that the vastayarey where spirt real beings who came to live in matherial real, so maybe they where related to celestial spirits, like the protector who put his powers inside taric body. in the vastayan lore they say the spirits cannot live in the material plane so they have to build a physical body to inabit (like bard ballon body or soraka ) or bond with a physical being ( like the targon aspects or karma reincarnation in different bodys )
Getting s computer soon and playing league for the first time in a year. League has made the runtera storys so much deeper and I really liked here. Will defenitely buy her.
Even if the oovi-kats never interbred with humans doesn't mean they didn't evolve. They can be "pure" Vastayashai'rei, but an outwashed or mutated form.
Taric is the aspect of life right? The guardian of everything beautiful and wonderful about the world? I think Neeko just means that she, in her curiosity and her love to discover everything new about the world, exalts everything that Taric does. They are kindred spirits.
Smoldering destruction ? That could be Voidlings destroying and literaly devouring her lands . Also quote "between realms" mabe it was some kind of portal between Void and their land ?
