Though Joe's mom isn't responsible for his choices as an adult; her neglect and abandonment did shape the man. His mom's impact is an important part of this narrative, not to excuse Joe, but to show how much a person's circumstances, in part, create who they become. As you stated, many people grow up in similar situations and never turn to serial killing and stalking, but we need to acknowledge the influence we have on each other as humans, starting with those whom are supposed to nurture and protect us. If nothing else, let YOU be a cautionary tale to all parents out there; what you do and do not do will shapeyour children's lives for good or ill.
Great video. I feel Sandy definitely deserves a share of the blame for how Joe turned out. Sandy's abusive boyfriend (potentially Joe's dad) and Mooney deserve some blame as well for how Joe turned out. And like you said, he is an adult now and he's responsible for his actions. I don't think it's as simple as placing the blame solely on Joe or solely on anyone. It's a blend of his upbringing, what his nature is, and how those 2 things affect his decision making as an adult. It'd be interesting to see what Sandy is up to and how Joe would react. She's in her 40s or 50s now and based on what we know about her, she could be in a rough situation or even dead.
Basically, I’m trying to say if you don’t understand, she created a monster, but not a killer I think Joe’s mom should definitely some responsibility, for what she did to Joe that made him the way he is not for the murder
She created a monster she’s not responsible for what the monster does, but you’re responsible for making him that way in the first place also to people that think it’s funny making fun of Joe mental health issues it’s not I’m not Joe Goldberg I am me it’s not the fact your you were abuse is how you are abuse, and that goes for all types of abuse how did you do it?
Yeah I don't think Sandy is 100% to blame for who Joe is, she definitely plays a part of it abandoning him didn't help she could have done better to help him since she knew he was deeply troubled but in her defense she really did think she was still doing right by him by sending him away, also in my opinion I think Mr Mooney did more damage to Joe's psyche than anybody I mean the guy constantly beat Joe and locked him in a cage something Joe clearly picked up from Mr Mooney as an adult, Joe got his killing habits and locking people away in cages from Mr Mooney but at the end of the day yeah Joe is an adult and could have just gone to therapy for all of this
Yeah, Mooney locked him in the cage and now he does exactly that to his victims! He totally picked up his violent tendancies from Mooney and Sandy's boyfriend
Joe actions are all his fault, but she used him and then threw him away. He needed someone to look after him and the first person who did, put him in a damn cage. She could have left him a letter.
the YOU hype was stronggg when the 4th season came out, and I'm obsessed with the show so it was really easy to make a couple videos about it that ended up doing pretty well :)
She was a horrible Mother. Shoe pur him in a home bc ge killed her abusive husband. Then he sees her with another chikd and another life. She deserves to be in a cage.
