Fantastic work, fantastic presentation! I love the way you present with question and answer dialogue. It's the best way to get people really engaged and it's worked on me. The subtle way you break us open to the heritage of humanity... Truly, something in this content broke my heart open in a new way and I received something I was lacking but can't quite identify yet. Humanity should get better at identifying our proper philosopher-kings...
No doubt the carvings are unbelievably beautiful, but it requires a sharp eye like you to breathe life into them. Thank you for sharing and explaining. The 2 statues that you are asking us to determine, is it Goddess Sita (since it seems like swayamvar time) and the other goddess seems to be taking care of child birth, with a conch and an instrument to cut the umbilical chord (in one of the videos you have explained that blood in the cord used to be stored and there seems to be a conch involved) as per chatgpt the Goddess Shashthi is supposed to be in charge of this department of child birth. Never heard of lord Garudas wife, Unani.... every video we learn something new. Thank you immensely
There's nothing "random" and nothing simply for decoration in these Hindu temples. They sculptures have never once shown up without a well prepared plan. Every temple I've seen on Praveen's channel tells a story, imparts some historical events or beliefs. They sculptures are decorative yes, but never purely for decoration. I believe it's a not only sculpture as an art form but also as a historical record, a historical document even, and a place of worship.
When I was 17 my friend and I went to Nepal, we grew up in the Adirondacks so trucking in the Himalayas we felt perfectly at home. While there we met many groups of foreigners, worked with a missions group for a couple weeks, in all we were there almost 6 months. Watching you videos takes me back to that place every time I watch ❤️be blessed my brother and thank you so much for your work!
I suggest you consider writing books. Trust me, you could write one book based on each of your videos, and that would be an excellent way to reach a wider audience globally. This is how we can spread ancient Hindu technology, culture, and hidden secrets (many of which you've already explored in your videos). I truly believe you would become a best-selling author with these books. Please give it some thought.
Garuda is also the half-brother of the Devas, Gandharvas, Daityas, Danavas, Nāgas, Vanara and Yakshas. He is the son of the sage Kashyapa and Vinata. He is the younger brother of Aruna, the charioteer of the Sun. Garuda is mentioned in several other texts such as the Puranas and the Vedas. Garuda's story is linked to that of Aruna, the charioteer of the Hindu sun god Surya. Both Aruna and Garuda developed from an egg. Kashyapa Prajapati's two wives Vinata and Kadru wanted to have children, and Kashyapa granted each of them a boon. Kadru asked for one thousand Nāga sons, while Vinata asked for just two, but each an equal to all of Kadru's thousand sons. Kashyapa blessed them, and then retreated to a forest to meditate. Later, Kadru gave birth to one thousand eggs, while Vinata gave birth to two eggs. After incubating them for five hundred years, Kadru's eggs hatched and out came her 1,000 sons. Vinata, eager for her own sons, impatiently broke one of her eggs. From this egg emerged the partially formed Aruna, looking radiant and reddish as the morning sun, but not as bright as the midday sun as he was promised to be. Aruna chided his mother Vinata for her impatience, and warned her to not break open the second egg, cursing her to be a slave until his brother rescued her. Aruna then left to become the charioteer of Surya, the sun god. Vinata waited, and after many years, the second egg hatched and Garuda was born. After losing a bet to Kadru through trickery, Vinata was forced to become her slave. Garuda later asked his brothers to free his mother from her slavery, to which they demanded Amrita (nectar of immortality, the same word used in Avatar 2 movie) from heaven. Garuda waged a war against gods with his extraordinary might and abilities, and defeated all of them, including Indra. He then took Indra's nectar vessel and flew back to earth. Vishnu then came to Garuda, and asked him to be his ride, to which he agreed. Indra requested that Garuda not give the Amrita to the Nagas though, as it would bring great trouble later, so they forged a plan. Upon reaching his brothers Garuda placed the vessel before them, and asked them to first purify themselves before drinking. Meanwhile, Jayanta (the son of Indra) stole the vessel back. On returning, the nagas were all devoured by Garuda. Some epics present Garuda as so massive that he can block out the sun. The text Garuda Purana is named after him (one of the major puranas in Hinduism) Garuda is presented in the Mahabharata as one who eats snake meat, such as the story about him planning to kill and eat Sumukha snake, where Indra intervenes. Garuda in anger, vaunt about his feats and compares himself to Indra's equal. Vishnu teaches a lesson to Garuda and cured his pride on might. Garudas are also a race of birds who devour snakes in the epic. The Suparṇākhyāna, a late Vedic period poem considered to be among the "earliest traces of epic poetry in India," relates the legend of Garuda, and provides the basis for a later, expanded version which appears within the Mahābhārata.
The MahāBhāharata is the adventure purana. - avoid abridged versions: better to withstand the 200 apocriphal pages of inserted "Bhisma lecture", and not miss c4ucial details.
10:00 An astra is a supernatural weapon in Hindu epics. It is presided over by a specific deity and imbued with spiritual and occult powers. The term came to denote any weapon that was released from the hand (such as an arrow), compared to holding it (such as a sword). The bearer of an astra is an astradhari. The divya ("divine") astras were generally invoked into arrows, although they could potentially be used with anything. Ashwatthama invoked Brahmashirshstra using a blade of grass as his weapon. On Earth Astras come into importance mainly in the Ramayana and Mahabharata, where they are used in the great battles. They are depicted as used by archers such as Parashurama, Rama, Lakshmana, Meghanada (Indrajit), Ravana, Krishna, Bhishma, Drona, Karna, Ashwatthama, Arjuna and other warriors. In the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, Rama and Shree Krishna had more astras than any other warrior. It is believed that Rama possessed all the astras. The Naga Astra is an arrow-shaped weapon in Hindu mythology that can turn enemies into snakes. It was used by Ravan's son against Lord Rama and Laxman in the Ramayana. When invoked, the weapon flies towards the enemy and transforms them into snakes that coil around them and eat them. The Garud Astra is considered the counter to the Naga Astra. Celestial weapon associated with the Naga race. It has an unerring aim and takes the form of a snake, deadly upon impact. Arjuna used this against Susharma, and Karna is also described as possessing it. Nāgāstra refers to a weapon (a serpent-shaped missile). It is a Sanskrit word defined in the Dhanurveda-saṃhitā (one of the important Hindu text on how to be a warrior and conduct of a war) , which contains a list of no less than 117 weapons. The Dhanurveda-saṃhitā is said to have been composed by the sage Vasiṣṭha, who in turn transmitted it trough a tradition of sages, which can eventually be traced to lord Śhiva and Brahmā.
Praveen can read temples, statues, the way we read a book..!! Very fascinating.. His journey into the realms of ancient Bharat, gives a boost to our pride, and satisfaction... Great job..👍
Praveen, in one video you showed a young woman carved on a temple wall, with a faint but clearly marked vertical line drawn between her breasts going down to her crotch. You said that she was probably operated on Another hypothesis occured to me on seeing a YT video of very rare twins. Apart from the usual fraternal, identical and Siamese twins there are VERY RARE twins formed by FUSION of two fertilized eggs. The statue you saw was formed by 2 eggs fusing to form one girl. The left half was one egg/ twin and the right half was the second egg/ twin Another way for them to fuse was discovered by a girl learning that her baby was probably born to a fraternal twin! They tested her and found out that the outer shell was one twin and the internal organs was another twin. So she gave birth to a child whose ovum was supplied by the twin inside her! A third girl was born without any line of demarcation BUT the left half and right half had slightly different color shades (border was a straight line)! Proving that two eggs were involved in producing her in her mother's womb There is even one individual born normally except that he had a third hand coming out of his upper chest. Another egg that was present only by forming a third hand! So if the ancient Hindus actually showed one individual girl formed by the fusion of TWO fert eggs of her mother >>>>>> how far back does Hinduism have knowledge of all these advanced topics ????????
One with garland is lakshmi coming out of churning ocean and going to garland vishnu. Meenakshi third middle breast falls of when her eyes meet sundarereshwar.
a lot of "REAL ARCHEOLOGISTS" have been trying to tear you apart,,,,,, now you know you are on the right track. Keep on with the good work !!!! Am spreading the word on India and likely the oldest of all ancient history !!!!
One is Draupadi and the other is Krishna's younger sister Subhadra. Subhadra married arjuna. She comes with mango.. Draupadi who initially protested finally accepts
Ah, i never knew about Subhadra. So there are multiple people involved in marriage here: Draupadi is married to each of each of the 5 Pandavas, notably Bihma and Arjuna. But Arjuna is also married to Subhadra, and Bihma is also married to Hidimbi, the Rakshasi. Is the purpose of this complex web of marriages to teach us we should not judge on relationships in general and especially when true love is involved?
😱😱😱 thats incredible... How talented our ancestors are?? After destroyed a lot of our great culture, mghuls radical blood drops barking that they introduced culture to Bharat😡😡
10:30 Its a Battle between 2 Maharathi's The Hierarchical Classification of Warriors in Mahabharata War is as follows: 1 Padatik- Infantrymen. 2 Ashvarohi - Horseman. One Ashvarohi = 12 Infantrymen. 3 Gaja - Soldier on an Elephant. One Gaja = 12 Ashvarohi. 4 ArdhaRathi - A soldier on a chariot who is considered equal to one Gaja. 5 Rathi- A warrior who is considered equal to 12 Ardharathis 6 AtiRathi - A warrior who is considered equal to 12 Rathis 7 Maharathi - A warrior who is considered equal to 12 Atirathis 8 Ati-Maharathi - A warrior who is considered equal to 12 Maharathis. 9 Mahamaharathis - A warrior who is considered equal to 24 Ati-Maharathis. The above ranks are not just a reflection of skill or mastery of a weapon. It also includes knowledge of battle formations, strategic skill set, tactical knowledge, past battle field experiences, ability to crack”battle traps” or enemy formations and so on. Simply because an archer rode a chariot did not make him a Rathi - the warrior needed to have some fearsome reputation and class battle experience too. Yudhisthir and Bheema (Elder brothers of Arjuna) both are considered Rathis but their respective sons - Prativindhya and Sutasoma are Atirathis. You may wonder why is that when both Yudhisthir and Bheema are more experienced than their sons? The reason is - Prativindhya and Sutasoma were highly skilled in battle plans, strategies, forming bottlenecks and tackling different battle formations (“Vyuhas”). They also had mastery of all forms of weapons which includes bows and arrows, mace, sword and spear. Abhimanyu (Son of Arjuna) - the youngest son of Pandava family is a Maharathi. This is because he had knowledge of breaking the Chakravyuha (a deadly battle formation like a spinning chakra) and knew how to move the fastest in the battlefield. Only Abhimanyu and Arjuna had the mettle of tackling Drona, Bheesma, Aswathhama and other Maharathis from Kaurava side. Chakravyuh was a brilliant military tactic. Basically it was a juggernaut. The whole formation continuously spun across the battlefield, continuously fighting, and the moment one member of the formation was killed, there was a sliding motion that propagated from the position held by the killed man, right upto the center of the formation, thus ensuring that at all times, there existed a continuous maze.
I cannot stop watching your videos till the end Praveen. I have been fascinated by you for 2 decades now! You were just starting out when i began watching you! Kudos...you’ve come a long way my friend! And kept me fascinated over and over again!! Blessings to you and your fantastic work.❤
The statues from the ancient builders are awesome. Its amazing craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing about all of this. Its hard to believe such great things were created so long ago.
Hi Praveen. Nice to have you back explaining structures of a temple. These statues are not carved. These are made from artificial stone created using moulds. These stones are made from natron, waterglass plus Ash. They added another ingredient to make it look like granite. Research is ongoing on this theory.
These vids never cease to amaze me!! Crazy how u can find all these anomalies in all these statues that are completely covered in carvings its like finding waldo!!😂 thank you and great job!
I believe that temple statues are meant to be teaching tools. It is an ancient way of learning…lessons are held within each statue. And Praveen Mohan is the foremost student of this teaching method… I am grateful that you share your thoughts with us Praveen!…..Tom
Long story short, Shiva burned him to ashes after he fired his love arrow on him to disrupt his meditation, Shiva (one of the Trinity) withdrew from the affairs of the mortal world due to the death of his wife Sati but eventually she was reborn as Parvathy. She meditated to please Shiva for 1000 years and wanted to marry him. But Shiva had no interest in mortal affairs anymore. But the World was waiting for his return because one particular Asura (usually called as demon) got boon from Brahma after his intense penance, the boon is that only the son of Shiva can kill him (usually they wish for immortality but it cannot be granted because the universe dies with Brahma in this 100th year in his realm or 311 trillion human years in our realm). He he continues to destroy peace in all the 14 realms, so Devas (usually called as God's), Nagas (serpent race) and various other species devised a plan to bring Shiva to the mortal affairs, thus tasking Kama Deva and his wife, but unfortunately disrupting the God of destruction is not a wise move. Shiva opened his 3rd eye instantly turning Kama Deva to Ashes but later he was reborn after Shiva found out the reason behind his actions. Parvathy continues her intense penance thus pleasing lord Shiva and finally Shiva agreed to the marriage. Thus giving birth to Lord Karthikeyan/Murugan (Hindu gods have 100 to 1000s of name depends on the task they undertake or languages). He was trained by many gods, at the age of 16 he led the war and beat the Asura he was so fierce that none could stand against him thus earning the title 'God of War'. He is now the commander of the Gods.
You have such a unique way of seeing what others miss Praveen. I think the last female statue had an emerald tear drop between hers eyes and emerald earrings on each ear. That must have been stunning.
Thank you PRAVEEN for giving us the details. I always tell that "YOU ARE A MASTER IN DECODING THESE HERITAGE STATUES" which even our so called Prof. in Archeology can not think about these things. Thank you once again for bringing all these heritage knowledge in open. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Personally I'm happy that whoever stole the stones didn't damage the statue. It's a shame they are missing but thankfully we still get to see the beautiful carving. Thank you I hope making these videos bring you happiness because I don't want you to ever stop.
According to legend there has been a cosmic war between the bird & snake tribes for ever & now it seems to make sense....It is fortunate india was able to save all the evidence in the form of statues
Great video with explanation of beautiful statues.... I will suggest to start putting very high resolution pictures of the same on a picture sharing websites... If possible shoot 360° of them also... You are visiting remote places and doing great work 👍🏼🙏🏼
Beautifully explained I enjoy your watching your videos and love the way you explain our ancient temples in realistic way not in mythological way. Thank you very much. ❤❤❤❤
dhanya ho aap prevent ji 😍 kisi bhi cheez ko samajhne ki adhbudh shakti di hei aapko ishver ne,Koti koti naman aaoko🥰 bhagwan aapko llambi umar aur sukhi Jeevan de..🙏🕉🙌💕
Thank you Praveen. I enjoy learning about ancient India. 😊This video is fascinating, I am 78 and like the way you bring these deities stories together.
Anna, question is passed to you only, please give answers in another video. Bow down to ancient Indian sculptures for carving of our heritage on toughest granites and to you for decoding/explaining us.
hey please! i really need to talk to you! there is a group in Brazil and i'm sure you'll like it (they are all over the world too). i know it seems odd but it's not an advertisement or anything like that. they have a really big purpose and i really really think you would fit in. :) please if there is a way of contacting you answer this!
I always feel very proud of our culture. But ur videos are giving more insight and depth of our culture and the knowledge. I am feeling so happy with ur channel. Thank you so much 🎉
Dear Praveen..your every video reveals the untold story of great Indian culture and its fortune. thanks for educating. i have written to PM to direct ASI to collaborate with your for the decoding of the history.
Another great video but I expected to hear that the depiction was representation of a particular meeting of these devi-devtas as narrated in a puran or kavya.
