For the new map sarco rules the waters. Those rivers act as sarco superhighways, and their skills sets are better adapted to take advantage of the environment.

I think the Spino has definitely improved since the aquatic updates, but I agree that it just seems outclassed in most categories by the other contenders. Still fun to play as though, just has a great presence in and out of water.
☝I agree with this. I absolutely love spino but sadly it is weak compared to sarco. They plan on giving sarco a new attack the death roll. Sounds cool but Sarco is already way to OP
I personally don't know which is the best, but I can say that Kaiwhekea is the actual worst. I have no idea what they were thinking with him having worst O2 than any other semi-aquatic given that he's a full aquatic, he just doesn't make sense.
Am I the only one who prefers the Panjura map to this new one? Yes, it's more diverse and has oceans and verticality, but for me, it's not a believeable world, like Panjura. Panjura is "real" prehistoric forest, Gondwa is more of a fantasy map with its environments being harshly blended together like a mosaic
i kind of agree, some of the biomes on gondwa work well together but thennn some of them are just… why? almost a good map in terms of believability, atleast its fun gameplay wise
i like both, they each give a different playing experience. Panjura is better for more chill, laid back gameplay and like you said it feels more real, while gondwa is better for adventuring and it's less boring when you're playing solo.
My DD sarco took on 3 suchos, 2 adult and 1 sub, they kept tryn to kill juvi sarcos so i interveined and they always ran from me when i bit them and after being worn down i left because they kept playing tag-team so yeah.
I fought a water build Spino yesterday as a double Def Spino and a sarco friend, he had all the abilities to help for swimming and had crushing bite, and oh man we got destroyed. 2v1 and he was impossible to catch while always landing his fully charged bites

It's such trash at combat can't hover and attack someone above because the only way u can fucking hit them is either the head or tail. And everyone fucking just gonna either tail slap yo ass or bite it. It's funny af because if you die mid fuckin air yo ass hitting the T pose on the way down. The only useful thing of this absolute piece of flying shit. Is how annoying it is. One of the calls sounds like it's fucking mocking you laughing. Ngl makes a good troll to bite people in the ass and fly away while laughing. Imagine a flock of ass biters
It's INSANE that the spino is faster. It's ridiculous. A torpedo shaped fully aquatic dino with four flippers made for the water and then you have this massive tank with a tail. This is like a buffalo catching a cheetah on land. Dumb.
They also need to add a drag or minor bone break effect cuz if you charge bite lunge, thats pretty much it for stam and the dino runs away. Its unbalanced when fighting apex predators.
Not only that, but Concavenator got a couple more abilities in the past few months that makes him even more of a menace underwater, namely Nictating Membranes(the lesser of the two, but nice to have), and Paddle Tail(which is awesome to have).
Sarcos deadly in gondwa, doesnt need to cross many bits of land, well long stretches of land, has nice swimming stam regen so if u swim reg in a fight in a river u can regen stam for those lunges out of water, and that crushing bite is devestating, paired with a follow up bleed bite, sends alot of adversaries running. Has trouble with long- drawn out fights w other semis that can run away into land to cure their bleed and come right back at ya. Perfect ambush predator.
Ya its amazing in gondwa. Gotta watch out for ducks tho. A good duck player can slap the shit out of you if you spend too much time on land since they can follow you a few feet into the water
I have to say, for the sarco. I actually find the regular bite better over the bleed bite, with the bleed bite you hit them with it and they run away to get rid of it and it has a 4s cooldown but with the regular bite you can give them consistent damage with a 1s cooldown and relly keep the pressure on
I'm currently raising a Kaiwekea and it's just got to Sub Adult, before it got there I managed to kill an adolescent nearly sub adult sarco sooo, although the stats may be different if you take his dash into account, no sarco will ever touch you
For the Spino, I use a speed spino speed build and murder sarcos in the water. With paddle on your tail you can make a full ring with spino so anything attacking you you can attack right back at the same time
it feels to me that the Kai cant really hold its breath for that long, its actually aquatic and it feels like croc can hold its breath longer which is weird
Spino has been my favorite dino since i was a kid, but dang did I stop playing my spino as soon as it hit adult on the previous map, I couldn't even catch a fish in the water anymore xD
If you have a fully speed spino build with paddle and streamline hide, oboy will it destroy everything else in the water. Though I found that the speed duck is slightly faster with streamline hide than the spino which is weird. The spino is far from trash.
Plus side is Sarco and Spino are getting a Swim Speed nerf, makes since since they shouldn’t be doing laps around Kaiwhekea (Kai) who is build for aquatic life.

Love the spino, my favorite dinosaur in the game and overall dinosaur world. If you know how to play with him he is actually good. I’ve taken down two gigas (2v1) so you can actually be good w him. But I agree w y’all that it should have two bite attacks slots and tail.. like the Rex and sarc
I 100% agree with you, and they should also make the land speed a bit faster and the stamina drain a bit slower on land, but overall a great dinosaur and also my favorite dinosaur in general

So the aquatic dinosaur needs oxygen AND needs to rest from swimming normally AND is outpaced by the other 2 main semi-aquatics in the game???? It honestly sounds..really bad lol
In real life the kaiwhekea did actually go to the serface to get air so it does make sense BUT I agree w u that the oxygen level should be buffed to a much longer time, maybe the same oxygen duration as the spino and sarco..
I've just started playing sarco, it's great and so much fun! But you lose stam so quick on land! Makes it so difficult to quest, ive played alot of dinos and I think it's fair if it gets a stamina buff while on land, crocs are good on land IRL too, plus you should be able to drink salt water too
I just made the kentro for gondwa he swims pretty fast in water I was surprised. Thought it was going to be trash pretty solid dino only died once as a baby fought everyone else off who challenged me. Very happy I made it
I’d have to say purely in water hands down the sarco even in packs but if your talking about on beach where it can be both on land and in water I’d say conc or suco since they can fight in water till they get low and then run off on land to heal and come back to continue the fight when there healed
Ducks are gross aswell. Defense ducks are slow but if ur a sarco, you best not fight them on land for too long. They can chase you back into the water for a bit
Spino is sarcos only competetant. And in shallow waters since spino is so big you go to the surface by accident and dont see under the water anymore. Which can cause missing bites. Sarco rules the waters
I hope the devs see this video because this video was the blunt truth on Spino. Spino is trash on Land and Trash in Water. Seeing as it's supposed to be an Apex....it needs a rework. If Rex rules the land, Spino should rule the water. Thinking Spino needs either: A Bone Break (Jurassic Park Neck Snap anyone?) Or a grapple that does heavy dmg and bleed. It needs a key move that makes it deadly. For Rex is that devastating bone break. For Sarco it's a toss up between the Ripping Bite or Charged Bite. For Spino it's nothing. Literally nothing. Impo each Apex should specialize. As Spino's aren't believed to have a heavy bite, impo Spino should have that deadly Sarco Bleed and Sarco should keep that deadly as fuck bite that messes everything up. But yeah, Spino needs help...it's officially the Amargasaurus of the Carnivores.
Evidence suggests that mostly all dinosaurs could swim quite well but semi aquatics were more acclimated to swimming so in my book if it was acclimated to life in the water like alligators but can also go on land it’s semi , if it’s acclimated to land but swims well but not quite as well as full semis then it’s a pseudo semi aquatic

I litterally do not understand why the made the iggy have worse stamina than the amarga or eo. it really seems like they just dislike certain dinos and arbitrarily decide they want them to be trash. I also wish they'd give actual semiaquatic stam mechanics to dinos when they have the dive ability equipped. it'd give dinos like meg more freedom.
I’ve been playing this game for about 3 weeks now spino is definitely the most powerful aquatic type I’ve seen then 2v1 sarcos multiple times they are undefeated in the water
Yes I'm late but idc lol Imo. Iggy isn't the best semi-aquatic but it can def use water to its advantage more than other herbivores can, the true semi-aquatic hadrosaur for me is Lambeo since it's swim speed, last I checked at least, is one of the fastest in the game
You know i can agree with you kaiwekia isn’t the best in combat cuz the othere day i was playing as my Kai and then i saw a baby spino and I decided to attack i thought i would have killed it with ez cuz i an adult but nope i was very wrong the baby spino put up up a great fight like he almost killed me but i did manage to kill the baby spino at the end so yeah but still Kai does need to get buffed slightly in my opinion
false with the kai lung and control it is the best water creature in terms of movement. I've never been caught by anything as a kai and everything semi water tries. I can jump back and fourth over spinos like a dolphin. Wont kill it but it wont kill me either. I'll take the draw.
Can people give me tips abt sarco, I'm pretty bad at the pvp and I always see people making crazy plays with sarco yet I could barely get a kill, I'm obviously doing sum wrong but idk what 🤷♂️
It was a slow dino in real life too, why would they make it faster? It just makes sense to me that it is slow on land. But it def should have two slots for bite attacks and tail like Rex and sarc.
A DD spino is still my favorite thing to play. I literally fear nothing in a one-on-one fight. I've killed Rex's and trikes on land and sarcos in the water
Ceratosaurus needs the streamline hide. It already has paddle and most paleontologists and of course me think that it was semi aquatic. Akin to a Jaguar.
For something that lives in water i found it was odd that it had oxygen and could drown so i was turned off by it. Feels weird. Maybe the other aquatic coming out might do better
@@Gravelordnito934 yeah but think for a second how long the air lasts, compare that to how long a sarco/ spinos air lasts, which is like 10-15min, and the kai only lasts for about a minute or so? Tell me thats weird
