Viktor Axelsen would be the best male player of the year -He has 52+ weeks world ranking number 1 throughout the year. -He has 7 superseries/group titles -These include 4x 1000 superseries titles plus 1x European Games. -Even he did not get the world champion. This does not affect his overall achievement. An-Se Young would be the best female player of the year. -Currently, her ranking score is 113314. This means that she will definitely gain at least 52+ weeks world number 1 in the future. -She get 10 superseries titles -These titles, include a world champion and an Asian game title. -No other female player can outcompete these results in this year. Zheng/Huang would probably be the best pair. Seo/Chae would probably be the most improvement pair.

Vitidsarn won the WCH, a 750 and a 500, but he also suffered from tons of early eliminations. Such instability shouldn’t have been nominated, and if you can’t find any other in men’s singles with frequent good results through the year, put Zheng Siwei on the list.

As a person constantly analysing the men's singles I think Kodai was the best player this year, reaching semi finals in of so many tournaments and having consistent results and rising to the number 3 despite his first year in the world tour
