bro you also fangirls need to grow up. aldo has been held against the fence in like 3 fights now and just accepts the position. you cannot just stay there and expect to win
@@darthmaul8278 if it’s 1-1 going into the 3rd and you’re losing the striking exchanges, why would a fighter not go to what worked for them and what they’re better at? aldo lost round 3 clear as day, all he did was throw haymakers that all missed. i do agree mario’s performance wasn’t great but aldo just accepts that position and does nothing to get out of it
@@hsnowman1316 how did Mario win that? Round three is not clear at all, holding someone against the fence is not a dominant position like full guard, even the Aldo whiffed a bunch of shots he still outlanded and out damaged Mario in the third
Islam ain't active like other champions, he only fights once a year in abu dhabi and didn't defend his title against any single lightweight fighter except the washed up dustin poirier
@@NotorioRachid-gl5pgcalling Poirier washed is a terrible take. He did really well against Islam, no one fought he would do as well as he did. also Pereira has only fought strikers, once he starts beating grapplers then we can talk about putting him above Islam.
@@NotorioRachid-gl5pg islam's win over volk ALONE carries more significance than any of alex's lhw title fights combined. Heck you can even say that islam win over dan hooker was more significant than all of alex's MW fights before the title(other than strickland). Not to mention Alex is lowkey the biggest weight bully of all time. dude fought at middle weight and weighed in 230lbs+ the day of the fight, and now he struggled to make weight against khalil.
@@NotorioRachid-gl5pg Washed? Poirier had just KO'd the biggest prospect in the LW division, and you can't even compare Oliveira as a champion to Hill or Jiri as champions, and then defending against the p4p 1 twice
Personally if you asked me, I'd say Islam is the best skill wise and Alex is the best in terms of popularity bang for your buck wise lol Love video like this, breaking fighters down best on category is always a niche Ive LOVED for yr videos
I only have 3 things to say: My newest casual friends don't really understand who Jon Jones is... All-time MMA fans (the ones that watched Pride fights live) got here wanting a real "pro wrestling" competition but with so many new spectators coming in from boxing, the sport is now changing. They really dislike wrestling sequences. I kinda hate submission grappling sequences, but I do enjoy aggro wrestlers a lot... Belal gives boring fights, but Adesanya has the same problem. It's not about the skillset but the mindset of the fighters.
My scores Hype: 8 Pantoja 7 Belal 6 Jones 5 Merab 4 Pereira 3 Makhachev 2 Dricus 1 Topuria based on how much I want to know who theyre fighting next and how much I want to see how it will go down. Activity is not a tier that you can decide on, the stats are the most important, unless you are taking into account their whole careers before becoming champions
Don't matter he is top 5 oat because he fought better competition out of any ufc fighter also he beat volk who was pfp no. 1 and flyweights usually beat lightweights @JoshuaSmith-no9mn
28:32 WTF Dricus is and has been more active than Topuria... They debuted on the exact same card but Dricus has 1 fight more than Topuria. Topuria has 3 fights in 16 months whilest Dricus has 3 fights in 13 months... Brotha the Topuria d-riding is crazy at this point...
Man I can't agree with grappling. Jones should be higher. Dude took down Cormier with ease and outgrappeled everyone else. Like it doesn't mean that if Dvalishvili and Muhammad outwrestle most of their opponents they're not doing much other than stalling and control time.
IMO, Islam has the most potential. If he doubles Khabib's title defences and moves up and become the two simultaneous champ of the two most stacked divisions... Definitely pfp top 3 mma GOAT
Also Tom Aspinall has the most potential to become the HW GOAT. When he becomes undisputed, if he doubles Stipe's title defenses, beats Alex Pereira, and imagine UFC goes on to have a crossover with One FC to challenge Anatoly Malykhin and wins or goes to PFL to beat the winner of Ngannou v Fereira...
Dude has anyone noticed how the vibes at 135 changed since Merab won the belt? Which is insane cause 135 is by far my favorite division with so much insane talent. Sidenote: I know a lot of people hate O'Malley but i don't give a fuck. I will always enjoy watching O'Malley compete. Dude is one of the most entertaining fighters that we have around in the UFC. I don't give a fuck if he loses a few times. I don't care! It's always fun to watch him compete. In my opinion. It's okay if you disagree. I know a lot of people disagree. It's okay 👍🏻
@@JoshuaSmith-no9mn damn Yan, Aldo, Cejudo, and Sean got beat in a fight by someone who isn’t a fighter that’s embarrassing. None of them should sniff the belt or GOAT status imo if that’s the case
@@James-712chael, Glover, DC, Gus 2, subbbed TRT Vitor after being almost subbed like bro don’t ever comment anything Jones related and hop off Aspinalls balls casual😂
@@sonnysad905 Chael Sonnen is a middleweight coming off a loss and got the shot against Jones. Barely wrestled with Glover. Gus was washed in the second fight and never looked good at any point afterwards. Took down DC a few times in the first fight. And DC IMMEDIATLY got back up. Vitor is not a good grappler lol, just because he attempted one submission doesn't make him a master grappler all of a sudden I just cooked the real casual here. You lol
How can you put Islam ontop of grappler’s when Merab had beaten everyone by grappling also out grappled Henry who is olympic champ (Khabib said that is the biggest grappling pedigree) Jones also outgrappled DC, Islam outwrestled strikers and some Jiu Jitsu guys but Volk also got top position in first fight, Islam is soo overhyped just because he knows Khabib, if he was that great he would have moved up but then he cant weight bully anymore!
The ultimate goal of grappling is submission.. you can't call someone the best grappler when he hasn't won by submission ever. Islam has 16 wins total in UFC.. he had won 7 of them by sub and so far has showcased 5 different techniques to do it.
@@jocollantes4258 Who says the ultimate goal is submission? If that was true Jiu Jitsu fighter would be the most dominant but they are not, wrestlers are, control is more of an ultimate goal! Grappling is also about defensive grappling avoiding danger and there Jones has done amazing going up against a wrestler like DC and not getting ragdolled, Islam did not manage to submitt Volk in their first fight and that is a waaay smaller opponent, he has also not proved himself nearly enough to be called the best grappler, also being scared to move up is a big sus
I get the all the points, and I agree Islam is probably the best champion in terms of skill, but I don't look forward to Islam fights or career. He is so good that I'm not sure who I would be excited to see him fight. That's my issue with Islam. Where as Poatan I can't wait to watch his next fight, whichever it is.
Such a casual take LOL. Jones easily draws the most paperviews out of every champ. Periera is hardly known amongst people who dont follow mma. A lot of people know jon jones, also he's the greatest of all time. His gates are higher, follow count is higher, he is over pereira in every way in terms of fight hype. Its such a bad take. Like dude just cause the mma community likes him more, doesn't mean he's a bigger draw or has more fight hype. Way more people would rather watch a jones fight. Stop with all the soft takes and just call it how it is.
