In Sanatana Dharma, Ananta Shesha, often referred to as the "Endless Serpent" or "Infinite One," is a primordial cosmic entity symbolizing eternity and the infinite nature of the universe. Shesha is depicted as a massive, multi-headed serpent, typically with a thousand hoods, upon which Lord Vishnu, the Preserver of the universe, rests in deep meditation or cosmic slumber. Each of Shesha’s hoods is adorned with sacred jewels, symbolizing the vast and immeasurable dimensions of time and space.
