I had 2 NDE's and it was pure awareness, pure unconditional love with zero judgement. It was total clarity. Nobody is ever left behind. There is no external, judging or punishing "God" only a return to our true nature. After the NDE's I had a vivid dream where everything was stripped away and there was this void and a very clear voice, neither male nor female but both at the same time, neither from inside or outside but both simultaneously said "Who are you now"? This same voice also said "Have no judgement, hold no opinion, therein lies freedom".

My son and I had a rocky relationship. I resented him because he was his mothers favourite. For years he didn't speak to me, during witch time I was very low and begged his forgiveness. After I forgave myself and not long in fact. The early stages of repair sprang fourth. We speak now have so much in common. ❤

Does anyone remember the movie starring Ali McGraw and Ryan O'Neill, Love Story? There was a line in the movie "love means never having to say you're sorry". Everyone laughed at the line, but there came a time that I understood the truth of that statement even though I couldn't explain it. Rupert explained it here in this video about forgiveness. Thank you.

This is truly excellent. Forgiveness comes from within. You may wait a lifetime if you are expecting it to come from without but the truth is you are guilting yourself. The world may forgive you but if you have not forgiven yourself what good will it do you. Everything is resolved in awareness. Abide as that and the tendency to self flagellate will eventually be dissolved..❤️

I came to the path of non duality after a long search for the truth. I initially started proper spiritual practice through Christianity at the end of myself 20 years ago. This has brought back to mind a letter, I wrote to my mother asking forgiveness for the wrongs I had done. In it I wholeheartedly apologised and asked for her forgiveness, I asked this despite knowing that I was forgiven and having that feeling Rupert mentions 'benevolent indifference' This path is very circular, timeless and infinate, much love.

IT does not look. IT does nothing. IT IS. There is a part of you that judges itself for what it considers its own wrong doings. That part needs to ask forgiveness to your children, from inside your Heart, sincerely, and without expectations. After that you’ll see they might change their minds, even if they don’t “have this understanding”.

I've listen to this over and over I wish someone could help me to be washed clean of the things that I hold against myself. After therapy in staying sober for 34 years I totally see that I have been colluding with my children. Not to say the amends I've made were for nothing they were real and honest.

Is there really such a definite distinction between the "real self" and the "false self" ? Does this really exist at all ? I think not. You are always only yourself, there can't be a "false self" or "ego" or whatever in my opinion. You are yourself period. Always. This is very abstract talk and I think one should not overvalue it.

There is no false self indeed. Only awareness or the true self exists within a person. But, identification with ideas, beliefs, thoughts, feelings, a summation of the so called false self gets us in trouble. There is much truth in Rupert's words. At least this is my opinion.

@@alexandragiasimaki2428 yea, I think this is mainly a societal thing though. It's not natural indeed. In this society we are persons and are being brainwashed to follow certain goals and behave in certain ways and so on. This is explicitly wanted by the government, our oppressors, to have control over us. "Government" literally means "mind control". They want us as slaves not as free human beings who are aware of their true nature. People are conditioned like this and can get lost in it and suffer. This is only temporary though because life cannot be suppressed forever. "Enlightenment" is only our natural state which was there before the societal programming began. It's not something that can be "reached", it only needs to be seen through. So "ego" or "false self" is not an archetypal spiritual phenomenon which has any reality in my opinion, it's the trick society controls us with. We are not "persons" we are human beings. We are always ourselves though even if we think we are something else.

Yes it does exist for most people, and can be physically measured by medical imaging (fMRI and eeg). The default mode network is the network of interacting brain regions which correlate with our self-referential neural activity. It is true that it is built over time, conditioned by the world around us, and can be dissolved via through meditation. So in that sense yes it is not “real”, but meditation and enlightenment are terms that exist for a reason. These are very real and simple processes that can be undertaken by anyone, if they wish to relinquish this outdated neural programming that is killing our species.

Moonglow That's exactly the conclusion I came some days before. The past 6 months I always was trying to "search" and "find" the true nature. As if it was something that was apart of me in the first place. And it's sad that many spiritual new age teachers promote that to gain more money. And to reach the true nature is so simple, no step to be taken. You just are, you always were and you will always be. No matter the thoughts, feelings etc. And this single observation creates so much peace within me.

The problem in dark world is that forgivenes is needed in place where opponent who from people are asking forgivenes who act dark way of not forgiving is ten time stronger and richer than who needs mercy.

@@Puuws described in this way it makes more sense, once you are more open you are more able to understand others more fully. But still in order to so one needs to detect clues from the other person (which are present only when you are in direct contact with the other). This is the main reason why the son ability to "feel" his mother even without any sort of contact got me confused. The only explanation that come into my mind is some sort of telepathy but onestly i don t think that is the case (i remember rupert denied such ability in the way we commonly intend it and i m quit contrair to the abracadabra attitude that often gets implied in this kind of spiritual discourses)
