I am a very old gacha games player. I started playing gacha games at 2018 by playing hi3. That's my first gacha game. The game is from the same company which made Genshin later( abhi iske baare mein bolne jaunga toh comment bahot badi ho jyegi so kam bolna hi shi hoga) so after playing 2 year hi3 I also started playing other gacha games like blue archive, arknights, Nikke, PGR etc. But one thing I suspected from every good and popular gacha that they all have female chars more than male which made me eventually bored after some time. Then one day( most probably in early 2021) I found Genshin and I was astonished to see that we can choose our mc. So I chose Aether cause I was tired with female chars and I quite liked his design. Now by far everything was fine but after a while being in Genshin community I noticed the controversy between Aether main and Lumine main. Most of the Lumine main( more like stans) wasn't happy to see Aether in trailers and his fans in community tho Lumine was getting all the poster and fan art,they started to attack Aether main by making an excuse sometimes saying that Lumine can control elements in one hand cause she's stronger sometimes mocking Aether by his expressionless movements and etc etc. In most cases some female players from East Asia are the main culprits of this controversy cause they can't see any game having a male mc and if it has they try to destroy the fanbase by creating controversy like these . Some of Aether mains were also took the chance and there came the most annoying thing 'canon' controversy for that now Genshin community is still diversed between these fanbase. Most sadly some youtubers willingly pushing up the controversy more and more. Both of the fanbase unwilling even knowing that both of them are MC's. But as from my personal experience in gacha games for more than 6 years I can say that Male chars are quite underrated and overshadowed than the female chars both in some games and in fanbase too.... This was from my own experience and my own opinion. If someone get offended then im really sorry. I support both fandom. But yeah I hate Lumine's LGBTQ fandom. And to protest that I'm ready to rise controversy anytime. I don't care I'm toxic or not...

Aether is the poster boy cause in their previous game they had Kiana as their poster girl and hi3 didn't get famous in western countries so they decided to attract western countries players by adding a male poster boy this time. That's how they decided to cast Aether in every official promotion. Both of them are canon it depends on the player's choice

The one you choose is become the MC ab yai nahi pta kitna sach hai yai (Chinese company after all) Aur mai bhi ek lumine wala he hu😁😁. Socho yai bolne ke baad bhi bahar ke janta genshin ke (not Indian players) both zyada toxic ban jaati hai aur phir bolte hai Aether is cannon (wo bhi har genshin post aur har genshin video ke comments mai jismai lumine hote hai bina baat ke Normal players ko ulta bolne lagte hai.
