Given the dichotomy of Dragons and Oni in established Ninjago Lore, I’d love it to be a new Oni Big Bad. Not necessarily The Omega, but another powerful entity that’s an Oni on Source Dragon level to balance them out. Plus it’d give them another chance to make up for, let’s admit it, a bit lackluster presentation of the Oni in the past.

It would be absolutely insane if Ras’ master was actually Laval from Legends of Chima, considering Chima takes place in the same verse, and Ras has been theorized to be from there. And sure, Laval in the Chima series is a pretty good and moral guy, perhaps in Dragon’s Rising, his power and saving, and bringing peace to Chima, along with the events of the Merge begins to get to his head, resulting in him and his allies possibly wanting to take control over the merged realms cause they believe they are the only ones, pure, righteous, and powerful enough, to bring true peace to The Realms, under their rule, resulting in them becoming antagonists in the series. However, Idk, this theory kinda seems almost too good for the series to pull off, and sounds more like the motivation of a Naruto villain than a Ninjago one. But I think it’s still within the realm of possibility and it’s just neat to think about.🤷

@@Declan_kingbeeyessss exactly!!!! i also liked how they tried to redeem her in Crystalized even though it could have been thought out better because she saved a family at the end of season 9 right before she died she and lloyd both looked at each other and harumi had this look of gulit in her eyes and even lloyd was shocked in that scene and soo upset that we went to go find her in the rumble to see if she was alright, when he said and we saw the flashback i was crying he loves her and cares for her soooo much. her redemption arc in Crystalized was not greatly executed they could have done better, i think they were trying to make her have a redemption arc and were trying to develop her character more and i liked that cause there were moments where u can just see deep down she didn't want to be evil, she didn't tell Garmadon about lloyds location until he almost killed her and when she and lloyd both looked at each before she died she had a look of gulit regret and affection towards lloyd so i can understand why the writers tired to give her a redemption arc cause in the last moment she did something good and seemed to realise her mistakes if they would have just done 22min epsiodes it would have been good,
His master is definitely a new character. Probably someone from The Wyld-ness, because we haven't seen more of the Wlyd-ness. Dragons Rising implied that the realms have bio-domes in them.

SPOILER ALERT 🚨 DRAGONS RISING SEASON 2 SPOILERS🚨 It could honestly be the overlord, now hear me out the over lord said he is the embodiment of darkness and therefore cannot be destroyed and his goal was to corrupt the elemental powers of creation and the forbidden 5 are corrupted elemental masters so if the over lord is to return it could make a lot of sense and he can use their power against the ninja and after the merge and capturing of the source dragons along with empress Beatrix and the release of the forbidden five it seems very possible for the over lord to return and he gifted ras powers as he did harumi in crystallized
Here are my suggestions: I believe that Lord Ras’s master is the Source Dragon of Strength. Hear me out, Ras is obsessed with strength and believes it is necessary. Catching a source dragon is a feat almost impossible unless with the help of another source dragon. When Lloyd speaks to the source dragons, he is lifted up and his eyes go green because the Source Dragon of Energy summoned him. When Ras is summoned by his master, he floats up which could mean his master is a source dragon. Also the source dragon of strength says they are safe knowing full well that the source dragon of energy was captured
I think his master is Cynder as he was mentioned in set leaks. Edit: their name also lines up with the Wyldness, being heat oriented with a y in their name. Edit: well, this didn't age well.

Theory about 8th sourse dragon is Lord Ras master i pretty interesting, but what if... The master of Lord Ras is Administator? Sounds pretty weird, because when Ras was talking to Jordana, he said that with energy of sourse dragon he can discover dark magic (i don't acurratly remember the ending, sorry) wich haven't seen in centuries, it's not like something related to Administrator. But hey, we actually don't know much about the Administraition, especially about the Administrator themself, so everything could be! (There was another theory before in my comment, but now because of it's nonsense it is gone.)
I think It’s time Twins or a evil source dragon or some one new. But the time twins were lost in time in the future and this is future ninjago now . So they probably came into the future right after the merge or somewhere because they did travel to the future . There not dead and Krux comes up with good long time plans just like the Overlord and his brother a good fighter just like him and they both want the same thing. To control everything through time. So maybe they are trying to control all the merge realms and they found out that dragons can be a big advantage. Like there story sort of ended but it did not . Because they were just lost in time . But Gramadon and Lord Ras never met. And one more thing, the Overlord is NOT permanently dead because Lloyd didn't use his ONI power fully or Lloyd could've do both Light and Dark power, but he used golden power instead in Crystallized which make me mad!😡😡😡😡😡
I think it's some villian from Chima or a whole new Chima character, or it could be a evil dragon, a dragon with Oni power such as Lord Garmadon's dragon form caused by the Overlord. This dragon could be the Overlord himself or just a minion. Lord Garmadon will most probably return along with Harumi or Skylor. A new elemental master could be of darkness or black, the black ninja, he coulde be a sort of brother of Lloyd if his powers came from Lord Garmadon, he could have the Oni side of the power as his elemental power, kind of like how Lloyd can use Oni form but his main power comes from the dragons. Edit: The new ninja would be a anti-hero trying to redeem himself after seeing Lloyd, but his powers are in the way, so Lord Garmadon would train him instead of Wu. His mom would be... A mystery because he'd not have one, he'd be a clone of Lord Garmadon. My mind is set, there will be a dark ninja.

It is probably the Omega and here’s why. 1: The claws of imperium capture dragons like the Omega did in the First Realm. 2. Omega got barely any character development. 3. The Omega came at the end of the previous era, and it would make sense he would come st the end of the new era.
I have two theories and one question, theory number one. I actually do think that the source dragon that Lloyd met could actually be the villain Because correct me if I’m wrong but the source, dragon had been trapped in that jail thingy for many years and many years ago the emperor of Imperium was a good man, so he probably put him there for a good reason. Theory number two. I think that Cinder might be related to Wyldfyre. I believe it will be Nadakhan or Pythor. We Know Nadakhan is still alive and probably out of the Teapot of Tyrhan, he may not have his wish power no more,therefore he would want to collect dragons and steal their power to revive Djinjago. For Pythor he could have gained a special power, not elemental but like a Source Dragon staff, this could be used as a weapon to destroy the merged realms, Pythor could also have a few Source Dragons that he had captured. The master dragon Egalt could be the remains one as long as the one Lloyd had rescued.
Whoever thought it will be Garmadon is pretty much stupid, sorry but common he is 100% a good guy after the last season😂 Overlord would be cool but wouldn’t make much sense for more reasons (main one-he never crossed into another realm, he is unique for Ninjago itself, plus he had his own shenenigans in Crystalized). I think it’s pretty much a New big bad but I must say I wanna see old villains again (especialy Pythor), I mean after the merge the Crystal council had to escape somehow.

the oni got destroyed but now that I think about it they prob's in the departed realm and got out in the merge maybe I mean if it were the omega he'd just be trying to conquer the world like they did in the series finale of the first one tho
all I know is, I want Ras's master to be more realistic and not some "ancient evil" like a human or human/animal. A powerless being will want to unleash some ancient evil however this leads to their own doom
If his master is a source dragon, why would Lord Ras require the vial of source dragon power Jordana collected? The only thing I can think of, is that the source dragon is weak and in captivity. Like the one we saw in part 1. Which is why he needs someone weaker than him love Lord Ras to do his bidding. Promising power to those who aid him, but as well know once he is freed he will be betray Lord Ras.
I don’t think Ras master is gonna be the next Overlord as cool as it would be to have Ras Master be the next Overlord I think it would be too soon if anything I feel like the Big Bad is gonna be one of the 7 Source Dragons itself and given the fact Ryiu is a baby Source Dragon I imagine whatever evil Source Dragon it is they will have to destroy or stop what plan they have and I imagine this Evil Source Dragon is responsible for the Merch in the first place. Since it took all 7 to source dragon to stabilize it perhaps with just one causing the merge it worked but resulted in merge-quakes being a side effect. Ryiu will be grown and replace that fallen member. Also this could be the chance for Ninjago to explore not all Dragons being good similarly mirroring the plot of thinking All Oni are Bad but not actually. Lloyd learned that Oni aren’t all bad but this time they are doing that plot but in Reverse and the Ninja are gonna consider not all Dragons are not all Peaceful as they appear and some are wicked showing that everyone has good and evil inside of them whatever path they choose is the destiny they decide to follow
Honestly, Im wanting the master to be some form of oni. In Sons of garmadon and hunted, oni warlords were depicted to be very tall, almost the same size as firstborn, but Omega was not that at all. What if the master is an oni warlord. As for what a oni warlord wants with source dragons and source dragon power specifically, my guess, is to become an entity akin to the first spinjitzu master. The first spinjitzu master was born of oni and dragon, but in the end did not want to be controlled by either. If then a immensely powerful oni was able to claim immensely powerful dragon energy, they may be able to achieve first spinjitzu master level power. Ultimately ending the series with a battle between a godlike Lloyd and a dark godlike Master Oni. Boom, new villian based in pre-existing lore.
One thing i hope is that Dragons Rising bring in one Season like the 5th or 6th they would like make a season called Shadows of the past and there they finish the arks of villains as acronix and krux or clouse as the bone king or what exaxtly happend to the Crystal council post merge. Another question i ask myself, what happend with Empress Beatrix after she got pulln in that portal

If she is in this then the Source Dragons’ power could and I may say this free the Dark Master aka Malefor. I know that’s a long shot quite a big one and that would also mean introducing Spyro and Sparx to the mix since the Purple Dragon has the power to master any elemental power. Also Spyro has Jay, Cole, Kai, and Zane’s elemental powers of Fire, Ice, Earth, and Electricity.

I think that Ras' true master is Overlord or Oni. Overlord, because he is the evilness in Ninjago and Oni is the dark and destruction. It won't be interesting if he is Garmadon, because Garmadon is already good. And about Overlord... well, it will be annoying if he returns AGAIN! The Oni must be the right answer, because it also makes sense.
I actually got a BIG theory about the ,, new Overlord " or Ras' true master and that could be actually one of the seven Source dragons, which we learn for in the end of Dragons rising part 2. Maybe he is the eigth of them, but he could be something like The Fallen from Transformers if you understand me. What do you think?

It might be the Overlord, but tbh I doubt he is. I think his master could be a totally new character from the Wyldness, who should be a similiar character to the Overlord, who's hiding in the shadows, controlling over everything. This character will probably be a "final boss" of this New NINJAGO, like the Overlord was in the Old one. Plus, if this were still the OG NINJAGO, his master would be the Overlord, but this is a New NINJAGO series. It could be an evil Source Dragon from their Sevenetic Council fromly, the Wyldness, or someone new. I think Egalt might be that Source Dragon Lloyd freed in E20, so he might turn evil alongside Lloyd at some point, I also imagine he's the master of Lord Ras.

Basically, I'd say, if it's Garmadon they better find something good like in S8 because rn he's not evil anymore so in most cases it would lead to something shit, Overlord at least it wouldn't make no sense, but it seems insanely unlikely, so it's most likely someone from the Wilderness or the source dragon which seems like an really good plot concept.
