@@Klogalous what? Battle of changban on novel is not accurate at all... Lady Mi is not dead like the novel said, and they march slowly but sure without any battle, and Zhang fei troops protected them from behind... The historical source is sanguozhi by chen shou.. Not novel san guo yan yi by luo guanzhong

I presume he died of natural causes becasue its not noted that he died in battle. I imagine that he retired after the first northern campaign and lived the rest of his years in peace.

Probably not so chill. He lost a province because he was bloated by his own prowess. He refused to stop fighting. Even when ordered to do so. That's what led to guan yu's death

Was Cloud based off of Zhao Yun? I can see some similarities. Both are good fighters, have good looks, and are loyal. And like you said his English name is Cloud.

@@bountoj Probably not, I'm guessing that Cloud's name is a weird translation of Claude (クラウド). Cloud and Zhaoyun are pretty different imo, almost opposite. Zhaoyun is almost like a Gary Stu (this is not a criticism btw), he's basically perfect in almost every way, good fighter, has brains, looks good, loyal, has composure, and is a virtuous man. Which is why he's well liked by everyone. He's kind of like the better Lancelot, without his flaws. Cloud is a complicated case. I'm not sure if you've played the original, since I'm going to spoil. Cloud is an introvert that looked up to Sephiroth and wanted to be a 1st class Soldier just like him, until after the event where Sephiroth genocides his village, and he was injected with Jenova Cells where he was basically mind broken. To cope with himself, he imagined himself as a cool headed, aloof, "professional" 1st class Soldier, and as luck would have it, he is actually a talented swordsman to begin with (but couldn't join Soldier because his mind was too weak), combined with the cells actually made him as strong as one. The thing is though, is that under that facade, he was still a timid, awkward, introverted boy. He couldn't even make friends with other villagers when he was small and wasn't even close to Tifa. After the persona of a Cool 1st class soldier was broken by Sephiroth and Hojo, Tifa helped him remember the past events and regain his real personality, which is a more of a slightly dorky, socially awkward, but gentle hearted young man. In a somewhat comedic scene where Cloud tells everyone to depart to fight Sephiroth, Cloud said "よし、行こうよ みんな" (lit: Alright everyone let's go, localized as the famous "let's mosey"), Cid got irritated and replied "can't you say something like Move out!". I guess you can say Cloud is loyal? But he didn't have people he can be loyal with before/beginning of FF7. He wasn't that close to Tifa, and Avalanche was just for money.

The undefeated military genius Cao Ren was also defeated by Guan Yu, and Cao Cao was almost relocated to his capital. Guan Yu made full use of one state to defeat a whole country. You should understand the god of military affairs was not called for nothing
