If you go back and watch Joe Montana games, Purdy plays JUST like him. Small squirrelly dude dodging fools, then throwing dimes from the air in a dead scramble. Its like the pressure makes him even better.

49ers fans enjoy this kid. He’s built for this offense. He played 4 years with 2 nfl running backs in David Montgomery and Breece hall and he loves tight ends. As long as he’s not putting it all on himself he will manage a game and more time than not he will make the play when he needs too. Think an upgraded version of Alex Smith.

I've been a Niners fan for a long time and I support Himmy G because he was our guy and I liked what he did for the team. I was excited to see what Lance could bring and wasn't surprised he got hurt so fast because how he was running, smh. But, Purdy... Boy this kid looks good and the offense looks all-around smoother than it has looked for awhile.

Purdy's leadership and being a great teammate is one of the underrated aspects to his game. Cant believe he's only 24 years old, he's got maturity beyond his years. Regardless of the outcome of the super bowl, I expect purdy to only get better as his career progresses.

I wouldn't write off Trey Lance just yet. Lance wanted Purdy to be his backup QB over Jimmy G because Purdy is the practice QB and already knows the plays from over the break while Jimmy had to start from scratch since he was expected to get traded. Trey Lance also only has 1 year of college experience while Brock Purdy has 4 years so of course he looks more polished. Another thing to note is that Trey Lance and Brock Purdy have been collaborating on plays so a lot of what you see in the highlights is Lance's gameplan. It could also be a Joe Montana and Steve Young kind of thing where we can have two skilled QBs on the same team.

The full game wasn't a monsoon. The last 7 minute was, but at that point, you're supposed to manage the game as best as you can, especially when you have the lead. When you're favored OVERWHELMINGLY against a team that is by all accounts, is absolutely HORRIBLE (one of the worst teams in the NFL), you'd better deliver. And this kid should be used to adverse weather-- He played in North Dakota, for crying out loud... I'm tired of all the excuses people make for this kid. Always taking the ball himself on "read options" (ei: the ball can be handed off to anyone else), putting himself at risk of injury, which is exactly what happened, because he was trying to play "hero ball".

He can make plays on the run. And he threw more deep passes is 7 quarters then Jimmy G in the past 3 seasons (that’s a real stat btw).
