It’s easily Wilt in my opinion. Won 3 straight MVPs averaging 27-24-7 across those seasons. Won a championship over the Bill Russell led Celtics to break their 8 year winning streak. 👍

@@HankAder Wilt definitely accomplished more with the 76ers than Moses. 3 straight MVPs and a championship/FMVP vs 1 MVP and a championship/FMVP. Wilt and that 76ers team were the only team that beat a healthy Bill Russell Celtics. I'd argue Erving is over Malone as well for team GOAT considering he was a big part of their championship with Malone, was there much longer, got an MVP of his own and lead the 76ers to two Finals and two ECFs before Malone was even there. Remember Malone joined Erving and the 76ers when they were already perennial contenders.

DRose was not the best player in the world lol. He won MVP largely because the Bulls had a better regular season and had the narrative going for him but LeBron was obviously a better player and had the narrative against him as well as severe voter fatigue (the man almost won 5 straight MVPs) Howard, Kobe and KD were all arguably better players as well. Rose melted down in the ECF that year. Jordan and LeBron are probably the most talented players of all time. Not just the greatest.

D-Rose won it at 22-23 which is when MJ had an injury that forced him to sit almost the entire season.

Rookie Jordan was the same age as MVP Rose and was arguably better. 28-7-6 with 2.5 steals on 59% TS vs 25-4-8 with 1 steal on 55% TS

Its definitely KG for both as of right now. KG is arguably the most talented PF of all time. He lead the Twolves in all 5 major stats, had post game, had great handles for a PF, could face up and shoot the midrange, could legit defend 1-5.

Kevin Garnett is the greatest and most talented Timberwolves player. Anthony Edwards can become the greatest if he ends up winning 1 or 2 championships, MVPs, Finals MVPs.

Why? Embiid just had the highest scoring per 100 possessions MVP season in the history of the NBA. He cans score from anywhere, is a great defensive playerr, is a great rebounder, has a great handle for a big, and is a decent passer for a big. Wilt was a 7 ft freak of nature. Bench press like 400+ lbs, vertical jump 40+ inches, as fast as Iverson with just as much stamina, one of the greatest scorers of all time, one of the greatest rebounders of all time, one of the best passing bigs of all time, one of the most dominant players of all time, one of the best defensive players of all time, etc. Iverson had some of the best handles ever but also was the most inefficient high volume scorer in the history of the league.

But I do think it's funny because, what did Iverson ever accomplish with his talent that Embiid didn't? A single finals appearance? If you erase that year Iversons legacy takes the biggest hit of any legend. No other legend hinges their entire legacy on a single season like Iverson. In 14 years he missed the playoffs 6x, lost in the 1st round 4x, lost in the 2nd 3x, and only has that one ECF/Finals appearance. His single ECF is tainted by historically controversial officiating and all time terrible efficiency by Iverson. Also Wilt was more talented and accomplished more with the 76ers in 3.5 years than Iverson did in like 11.

Rodman had little to no offensive game. Isiah Thomas is one of the most talented PGs ever and Grant Hill was like a LeBron prototype.

Vince never even made All NBA on the Nets. KD was averaging like 30-7-6 on 50-40-90 shooting. He's easily more talented than Vince. I'd say Kidd and Erving (if we count ABA) maybe even Petrovic Buck Williams were more talented than Nets Vince as well.

Eh not really though. If you exclude the Bill Russ years the Celtics would still have the 3rd most championships behind only the Warriors and Lakers. Jordan and Duncan carry the Bulls/Spurs way more as they'd literally have 0 if you exclude them.

How did they forget AI? They literally were saying Embiid vs AI for talent. In terms of team GOAT it's definitely between Wilt, Erving and Malone as they all won championships and MVPs with the 76ers.

If you count ABA then yes. He never played for the Nets in the NBA though.

@@zstrikerlol meh thats not really true. The top tier talent in the NBA and ABA was about equal at the time but the average players and lower tier players were noticeable worse. That's why when the merger happened only the top tier ABA guys were able to really transition over. And ABA history is usually not counted in career totals, accolades, championships, etc. If you do count them they of course Dr. J is the Nets GOAT with 3 MVPs, 2 rings, amd 2 FMVPs (playoff MVP in the ABA)

He’s not better. Embid is a better scorer, rebounder, passer(relative to position), better shooter, better finisher, way better defender. He was literally averaging 35/11/6 with 2blks and over a steal on 54/39/88 splits before he got hurt, still finished the season coming back from injury averaging slight worse numbers.

You think Kyrie is more talented than KD? KD does what Kyrie does but is near 7 feet tall. He has guard like handles, similar playmaking ability, much better defender, a better overall offensive player, a better rebounder, etc. In what why is Kyrie more talented? Maybe like handling and finishing? And even then those gaps aren't that huge because KD is still talented at that stuff himself.

Pippen was great but Jordan could do pretty much anything Pippen could do. While Pippen wasn't anywhere near some of the stuff Jordan could do. Jordan averaged 33-8-8 with 3 steals in '89. Pippens career BEST is basically worse or the same in each of those categories...

For what? 1 MVP and Finals appearance? Erving has an MVP, championship, 4 Finals appearances, and 3 ECF appearances. Wilt has 3 MVPs, a championship and a FMVP. Malone has a MVP and FMVP.

11 championships and 5 MVP vs 3 championships and 3 MVPs. Bird also only got 2 FMVPs. Bill Russ probably would've gotten nearly all 11 FMVP had it existed when he played and he'd probably have the most DPOYs of any player ever as well. The only reason Russ doesn't have 12 championships is because he got hurt. And as soon as he retired the Celtics didn't win again until they got another MVP center and all star guard. Bird had more overall talent but Bill Russ accomplished much more

His shooting talent alone creates plays for others because of the gravity he commands (basically indirect assists). Speaking of which Curry is at or near the top of the league every year in secondary assists which are passes that directly lead to assists. There's honestly not much that Kyrie is better at and the things he is better at he isn't all that much better at anyway. I agree you can be more talented without being better but Curry is up there as one of the most talented players ever himself.

AI is one of the most overrated players ever. No other all time great in history has their entire legacy hinge on a single season like Iverson. If you erase that year he'd literally would only have some of the most inefficient scoring titles of all time, 6 missed playoffs, 4 1st round exits and 2 2nd round exits, no conference finals, no finals, no championships to his name. The 2001 ECF also had some of the most questionable officiating in the history of the NBA and Iverson in that series averaged like 34% from field and 33% from 3. That's atrocious. And the myth that he carried the 76ers is nothing but a myth. The 76ers had an historically good defense because of everyone outside of Iverson. They had the DPOY, rebounding leader and probably the 2nd best center in the league outside Shaq at the time in Mutombo. They had the 6th man of the year. They had a legendary head coach who was the COTY. Even when he got paired with a good Nuggets team with Melo they significantly underachieved given how great he supposedly was and when they swapped him for Billups the Nuggets immediately became contenders and went to the WCF. Like I said no other player hinges their entire legacy on a single season and it wasn't even like anything about that season was particularly impressive individually on a historic level like people seem to claim. Iverson was great but his single MVP year and style/aesthetic/culture influence prop up his actual basketball career way more than it should.

His efficiency numbers are because he was THE SCORER on the team. They needed a bucket it was him and only him…again…at 6’0. Yes his efficiency was low but think about how many shots he was taking and who he had to take those shots over. To say he is overrated is where your response becomes watered down and disrespectful. I respect you not agreeing AI was the GOAT of the 76ers but he was definitely the most talented! Talent isn’t off of numbers, it’s off what you see in front of you. Anyone you name from the 76ers as more TALENTED honestly doesn’t compare.

A guy with a 400+ pound bench press. And all that at 7 feet tall is absurd. He's one of the greatest scorers of all time, one for the greatest rebounder of all time, one of the greatest defensive players of all time, one of the best passing bigs of all time, one of the most dominant players of all time. The dude was on the national radar as a junior in high school before basketball and it's supporting infrastructure to find and recruit players was even around. He was literally a globe trotter for a year. Dude was the ultimate talent.

Wilt was a freak. My problem with embiid is yes he has won the mvp but hasn’t made it anywhere in the playoffs AND can’t stay healthy.
