Great video, the one thing is that Vecna wasn't from the Forgotten Realms but from the World of Greyhawk or known as Oerth

Not just that, he wasn’t even fully fleshed out when he was introduced. It was just two magical items introduced in 1979 with Eldritch Wizardry. The Hand & Eye of Vecna. Vecna being an anagram of author Jack Vance.

@@samcarter565 exactly. It wasn't until later, and I believe 2nd edition (not fully sure, maybe earlier) that we got the story of Vecna and more lore of the Hand and eye

@@Kensai2401 I believe _Vecna Lives!_ is the first time Vecna was introduced as an actual character, instead of just a bit of lore. It came out in 1990, shortly after 2e Ad&d was released.
