Kota, a place where students goes for preparing for entrance exams like IIT, NEET and others. But in recent times, the news coming out of the city are not good. Many students are depressed and have done things which no should have done.
But why? How did Kota became the hub for coaching? What a student goes through in these coaching centers? Who is responsible for the condition of students?

Over glorification of IIT and Medical exams is the man reason behind this. Absolutely stupid to run behind just these two exams to "show" to the world that you are a capable human being. हर सुबह अखबार में Allen और UPSC के बड़े-बड़े स्टार प्रचारक 16-17 साल के बच्चों के दिमाग़ पर छा जाते हैं और इन बच्चों को ये मनवा देता है कि अगर तुमने इन exams को नहीं निकाला तो तुम्हारा जीवन ख़राब है! I am from Kota.🙂 Now the situation is that after neet scam students are not coming at coaching and most part of Kota economy affected by coaching factory. Before 1990 Kota was Industrial city of Rajasthan and After 2008 its become coaching hub. Any one from Kota

studied in kota 6 years ago, saw two such incidents, one of them was a guy who shared balcony with me, its horrifying, the pressure is real, the system is rigged, everyone wants to extract money out of your pockets and you don't have neither enough time to revise all the content they shove in your throats nor any time to relax and take a break, i had to leave kota just during Diwali during my 12th because it was getting out of my capacity, glad i did.

मुझे याद है जब मैं भी एक कोचिंग मैं iit का तैयारी करने गया था। रात भर पढ़ता था सुबह 8 बजे सोता था और 3 बजे से फिर कोचिंग होता था.. दुनिया मैं और कुछ भी exist करता है जान ही नहीं पाए केवल पढ़ना 12 से 18 घंटा। घूमना, मनोरंजन करना, खेल ये सब सोचना भी संभव नहीं था। ऊपर से elite family से आए बच्चे जब आगे निकल गए और मैं सबसे खराब बैच मैं चला गया अपना सब कुछ समर्पित कर देने के बाद भी तो क्या मिला , उस बैच मैं टीचर्स भी बच्चों को कचरा समझते थे और वैसा ही व्यवहार करते थे। घर मे guardian test के scores देखते थे। मानसिक रूप से असंतुलित हो गया। जो अगले 5 से दस साल चलते रहा। पूरा system ही corrupt है। बच्चे का जीवन नर्क से भी बदतर हो जाता है । वह तो अध्यात्म और yogic जीवन पद्धति था जो मुझे उबरने मैं मदद किया।

Star batches in front rows and next batch behind them so on ….. parents should understand that the child undergoes so much stress … instead they should explore other options…. They are children for God’s sake, most of them are going through puberty, 15-16 year old are not allowed to vote because it’s a question of country’s future for next five years but these same 15-16 year olds are forced to choose between Science, commerce and arts which will decide their whole life. Children make mistakes and they should make mistakes so they can learn what they shouldn’t do in their future lives, love relationships, night outs are some of the mistakes that people make in kota but these mistakes are also their escape route out of the pressure they are handling. I was also a medical aspirant in India, I wrote the UPCPMT and got 128/200 and next year when I wrote the NEET i got 413/720, I was getting BDS in a private college but not MBBS or BDS in government, I couldn’t get in, I was depressed, I was broken. I completely understand what these children feel despite never having lived in Kota. I asked my parents to get an education loan (so that I can pay it off when I start to work) so that I can go to Europe to get into a med school, I wrote the entrance, got in but my parents didn’t agreed. My parents were pushing me to join the coaching again or to do graduation in Ayurvedic medicine or some other bachelor course related to medicine but I didn’t agreed, lot of arguments in between, meanwhile I also wrote CLAT and ITBP selection exam and passed them both and was even getting a NLU if I ever joined, so I decided to talk with my parents again and thought if they don’t allow this time then I will get into a law school but finally they agreed. Earlier the plan was to complete the med school and come back to India but I loved the place so well that I got into residency in general surgery, finished the residency and on Tuesday I am joining a hospital as a surgeon, everything is paid for by the government that includes my two bedroom apartment, my insurance, my heating, water and electricity, I am getting a transport with a driver to travel to my hospital (even though the hospital is just 900ms away from my apartment), 5 day work week with allowance for overtime+ 45 days of paid leaves in an year. So, if anyone young is reading this, don’t leave your hopes, see for other options while you are preparing for entrance and I can understand your situation and the pressure you are facing because once I faced the same situation. Also you can travel to Europe for your med school because you can get admitted here relatively easily and entrance test is generally Biology and chemistry but keep this in mind your course duration will be longer than India because you have to learn a new language and then you start with medical training but the good thing is many of the European countries provide education for free so you have to manage only your living expenses for example in Germany.

every single thing is true in this video,i have also went to kota for my studies and believe me this is the exact scenario there,i have somehow manage to crack jee but every single second felt like hell there and if any student reads this comment then i would like to tell them please don't do anything wrong to youself ,after a year or two you will understand that this is way way smaller than single breath of your life

I am a teacher and I am trying hard to make students comfortable with me so that they can share everything from me. And literally they share various things. Sometimes I scolded some parents and said to them," You and I are not aware about pressure on students. So let them be free on their will." Sometimes I supported students who wanted to go into sports. I talked with their parents to support their passion. Even now I am not only a teacher but now I am everything for them and they are everything for me. My love and friendly care is for students.

But most valuaable profession in any industry is CFO _ jo ki ek CA hota h :D, I have learned this in my 18 years career as Mechanical Engineer. Students!! Mental and physical health is much more important than getting top colleges. You can get into decent college if you are preparing near your home location taking care of yourself and being near to your family. There are ample of opportunities to succeed entire lifetime if you have good health, energy and some resources. So, please utilise them wisely. I have prepared for IIT in 2015 from Bihar Sharif. Time changes, opinions changes and even in the worst of time, you are important.

Even Albest Einstein could not Crack a engineering exam that he sat for and hence did a diploma , than when he did his p.h.d. in physics, he later said the entire comedy has become a tragedy for me and that I should never have done a p.h.d in physics ,what else do you need to prove that there is life beyond degress and beyond I.I.T'S and iits have never produced a noble prize winner till date, iit's are good but not great 😢 💔

i had always wanted to be engineer, was initially interested in science, but then as JEE came nearer pressure started mount exactly same situation too much to study in less time, and classes always fed negativity to us, like what will you do if you dont get in good engineering college, it will be very tough etc. Fortunately my parents were by my side and helped me throughout, its after effects are still there even after giving exam 10 years ago

पहली बार मैं आपकी बात से सहमत नहीं हूँ, पढ़ाई के लिए सबसे बेहतर और संतुलित माहौल पूरे देश में सिर्फ कोटा ही देता है। कोटा के coachings ने मेहनत की है, पर इस माहौल को खराब किया है PW, Unacademy, Byjus जैसे ऑनलाइन प्लेयर्स ने... ये खुद बर्बाद हो गए, और इनकी भूख ने कोटा का नाम भी खराब कर दिया... हालांकि कोटा फिर से पहले जैसा हो जाएगा पर ये ख़त्म हो जाएंगे।

Problem is not only coz of coaching centres whether of IIT neet or upsc. Problem is in secondary education system and of conditions in colleges. During classes 9-12 there is no one to counsel the parents and child about the career opportunities and assessing a child mental ability, govt can help them out by releasing a survey based on industrial and govt needs so it can be helpful to decide which branch or subjects are going to yield a good job and career which ultimately every parent wants. Second things about colleges, actually this things pressurises child more, like there are two categories in both govt and private where few colleges are very prestigious and has education and skill providing system while don't have such a good. Private colleges are of no use since they even can't teach students good and neither make them learn skillset, they are centres of buying degrees only. Since now after getting out from such colleges, it's all on students knowledge and jugad about getting good platform and also dependent on luck so he meet such people who tells abt industry demands. That's why that phase is so stressful that people has to compete years for getting that platform where other things get bit easier.

Aur inme aaj bhi kaafi acche package lagte hain lekin logo ne wahi early 2000s wali mentality bana rakhi hai ki engineering se hi Paisa aata hai.
