@@MarySchumann it was 105 here and 75 in mn the other day. Lol. I found a cute apartment in South Uptown a few blocks from the lake. I guess a question would be what’s something I should do to prepare for winter I’m not thinking of?

I spent some time in Texas. Minnesota is so much nicer. The weather in Minnesota is way better, I can handle cold and the heat in Texas was miserable.

Thanks for the kind words! I have mentioned inspection waivers in the context of other videos but nothing JUST on that- maybe I can make a quick one about that. Thanks for the great idea for this week (sometimes it’s hard to come up with stuff while you’re busy doing the actual real estate work!) St. Michael is really nice- don’t rule out Plymouth or Maple Grove though, you never know. I have actually managed to get an inspection on every single transaction except for 1 so far in the past couple of years- if you have a strong offer and other terms that make that more palatable you can get it. The one that waived was a townhouse so their exposure was much more limited. I’d love to talk with you about any questions you have as you think about making your move! A single family home at that price is a little more scarce but more likely to be found in the northern suburbs of the city. You can- we have a good bus system and a light rail. If you live in the city you can do it. We also have a large system of bike lanes and many people use bikes - regular or e-bikes- as transportation.

Hi Michael - I've been watching unemployment rates here for a long while and we are consistently lower than the rest of the country. As far as your specific area of work, I really don't have a handle on that piece and I would assume that it matters what type of architecture you specialize in. There is a lot of housing being built all over the metro area and a lot of things going up downtown all the time. New Brighton is close in to the Cities and I assume would allow you easy access to firms that are hiring. I would also assume that your choices for working FOR someone else would be largest near the twin cities metro and not outside of it as we are mostly farms out there. Rochester or Duluth may also have something but they are significantly smaller.

Hi! Every child is different so that’s not something I venture into. A resource for you would be Niche.com or GreatSchools. You can drill down and see where different schools rank on different parameters. Some kids are into the arts and need a school that will nurture that and some are science or math kids so… I did a video on open enrollment in MN, it is helpful for if you end up in a district that isn’t right for your child, you can enroll somewhere else. @@MarySchumann Esquela Exitos in New Hope is a bilingual charter school takes all children grades k-8 you don't need to put your name in a lottery like the other bilingual schools it just opened last year and pretty much buses kids from anywhere its the best thing I did for my daughter she knows Spanish way more than me and it's exciting to hear her speak another language you should tell your clients to check it out!!
