Oh man, blast from the past this one. Me and my older brother played this a ton when it came out. Honestly think Helldivers 2 definitely took inspiration for the gameplay from this, because they feel similar. Helldivers 2 just hits the same cibe this did and I think, at least for me, that's one of the reasons I enjoy it so much. I would love to see a moder Earth Defense Force game
The sequel EDF 2025 got a rerelease on PS4 and PC. It's called Earth Defense Force 4.1. Also Earth Defense Force 5 is on PS4 and PC. The newer Earth Defense Force 6 is on PS4, PS5, and PC. They are very fun games. So 5 is a reboot. And 6 is a sequel to the reboot.
@@EnGageJackson It's good but it's skippable because 4.1 improved everything about it. So if you can, pick up 4.1. If not 2025 will do the trick. The official US release of #6 is in July. Many have picked up Japanese copies. But now there is a multi language with english. But you got to import it.
