#omahlay #rema #naijanews Omah Lay was on the Zach Sang show and revealed that another afrobeats artiste stole his idea. Rema and Victony have been mentioned. Llona has also been mentioned but who really could it be? Asake?
I think he is referring to Victony Just go and listen to victony's "Stubborn" and Omah's new song "Moving" there are some kind of similarities in the sounds
Real, and he said he collaborated with the artist I don't think rema and omah lay have a song together. Also if it was 5 month after holy Ghost fire it can't be rema since heis came out in July
Truth be told, rema is not the first person to have the idea of making afrobeat more original, but he's the first person to achieve it successfully without fear, it's just like the wright brothers they were not the first to conceive the idea of making an aeroplane, while others failed they were the first to bring it to life, what omahlay is doing now is playing the role of glen Curtis,Rema has raised the bar of afrobeats so high, no one is stopping it from going higher but bringing up conspiracy theories is not the way forward. For starters everything omahlay said in that interview has already been said by rema egApple music interview, afrobeat has already been saved, all that remains is that we keep maintaining our novelty, besides omahlay is an afro fusion artist which demands him to be mixing foreign genres with an "African accent " so why changing lanes? and I hate it when afro fusion artist always have to jab at afrobeats as a PR stunt for their body of work eg when burnaboy downgraded afrobeats only to stir anticipation for "I told them". As for those laying false allegations on rema and victony, the only similarities between purple boy and rave Lorde is the chord progression of "charm" and" safe haven " but that's a common phenomenon in musicology, and victony always sounded the way it is now, it's impossible for a refined singer like omahlay to be using a radical sound like rema(ravage EP was a prep for heis) imagine the same people that labelled rema's new sound as trash are the first to be speculating omahlay was the originator of the sound ,smh 🤦.
Please... Rema's album sounds insane like bounce. I feel like he always wanted to do rave afro beats. I feel like bounce and Ravage led the way for HEIS... Also holy ghost will never fit on HEIS I beg.
I have a song titled Ise Oluwa, I recorded it last year. It’s not even finished. Asake dropped his album and the Song “Suru” has elements that sound like Asake heard my own song. I’ve never met him and I’ve never shared the song to anyone so did he steal it, obviously no. Where did I get the Ise Oluwa inspiration from? Adekunle Gold’s Ogaranya where he said “Ise Oluwa k’oseni toye” which means nobody understands how God works. Which is a popular saying in Yoruba land. We’re all inspired simultaneously especially songwriters because we usually draw inspiration from the same wavelength. Did someone steal Omah Lay’s sound, yes it’s possible and it’s also possible he just read it wrong or maybe it’s a controversial thing to create the same buzz we’re experiencing to promote his album. At the end of the day what will be will be. Omah Lay if you’re reading this no worry e get why things happen laidat. Keep your head up and move forward.
When it comes to stealing music idea if you’re musically inclined you would know that when an artist steals an idea he implements it with his own and that makes it like he owns it but then only the one that initially owns it would know the unique similarities that makes him thinks it’s his idea
I listened to forgive me by Llona and like you said I got hooked. There is something in the water…I’m sure of it. If I hadn’t left I’d probably be a singer now too. I’m not kidding.
I’m quite shocked that nobody saw that Rema stole this new style from Playboi Cartis new flow, legit stole everything and added afrobeat drums to the beats
But there is nothing really new in what llona did on his homeless album that we haven't heard before, same as victony, the only project diff from all of them is rema's,and don't forget he (omah lay) said he shared ideas of how he wants to make his album not that he sat someone down and started playing songs for them or show them track lists or something, i don't think omah lay can make that rema album nahhh!!,it was just ideas that was stolen not the actual songs And it might just be pr strategies who knows?.
And remember Burna boy last album was so quick and surprising to us. Been that it's not long we finished listening to his love, Damini album. And Omah lay said "Everything fela stands for" In Nigeria whom do we see like that 🤔 ? Think
Omah lay is capping, if I told someone about my plans for an album and he steals it wouldn’t I call the person out? 😂 bro just making excuses for delaying the album!
@@dadaolujimi1180 bro if you don't understand music, stop calling someone idiot. Their is a something called album promo. A lot does happen in the music industry, he might be right. Don't act like your favourite artist can't pull a promo stunt. Music is business.
Ever since I saw that interview the first person that came to my head was Burna Boy. Everyone knows how Omah Lay sees Burna as a major role model and how he's spoken out about certain OG's he looks up to don't support him cause they're "scared"
Yeah it’s him! Go listen to loner! I was surprised that was Bella at first! But they had their little bromance when he did a song with omah lay, most likely shared records together and he took off with it! And now ! Bella didn’t even stick to the sound! I’m sure! But if it’s not him then someone lying
I listened to Llona thst guy is fucking good omo fear catch me I thought is was me, bro that's my kind of songs Pathans and now I need to go refaire all of them.😮
@@_Lesplay you're a bad guy...😂 I knew that shit was intentional because u said it in the beginning you were going to tell us, but u didn't say it... 😂😂
Imagine being inspired to listen to Nigerian artistes by Ghanians 😅 this is the second time this month. 1st, I heard about Lungu boy from Kontrolla, now I'm going to listen Victony and Loner 😅
Stubborn was supposed to be an ep. Y’all should go watch some of Victony interviews. Olamide was the reason Victony changed STTURBON to an Album. And y’all should stop accusing Victony. And Victony still sound the same ❤. Peace ✌🏻 😊
@@_Lesplay yes check llona music videos and check moving by omah lay It has the same concept You know omah lay was talking gibberish ( wasn’t talking straight to the point cuz of appearing in the media) so he said the artist stole his ideas Ideas can be music videos also too Then he changed his sound remember so sound can be different but the main concept in the videos are the same
Yall quickly jumping to victory clearly proves yall don’t even know what yall talkin bout😂, Victony put out the best Afro-beats album 💿 f the year so far and yall can’t even let him get is flowers in peace which he ain’t cause his album hasn’t even received the love it deserves.
