Heres some more details you probably missed! Mapleshades pupils are X's, hinting that she would've always been evil. Her kits pupils look like waves, also hinting at their deaths Appledusks pupils look like cats claws, also luring to his death.

In 1:24 , Appledusk's eyes are covered in maple, suggesting she killed him. In the Ashfur PMV, his eyes are covered in holly. (in one scene) This means if Tigerclaw killed someone, their eyes will be covered with tigers.
I love that mapleshade's design has more angular and straight features because she's a villain. the other 'nice' characters have lots of curved features. :D
Also how frecklewish also has abit of pointy fur, because she is somewhat in the wrong aswell but is still innocent in some ways (forgive me if that's wrong, I havent really been active in the fandom alot)
I love how creatively you show the story. Little details like the signs by the river and Reedshine and Appledusk chilling like they're at the beach really make this stand out and show how Mapleshade viewed their reactions. It's super creative and fun, same with the art style
1:30-1:50 have no idea if anyone’s pointed this out yet but i love how there’s 3 ravens in ravenwing’s shot, 2 pairs of snake eyes in frecklewish’s shot, and then 1 hostage (perchpaw) in appledusk’s shot, seemingly representing how many kits mapleshade feels she must avenge at the time (or i’m just overthinking it, but it’s a cool detail nonetheless, this is such a unique pmv i can’t stop rewatching it)

I love everything about this! Your style is so unique and reminds me a bit of old rubber hose animations. The part were Reedshine was just drinking an apple juice on the shore while Maple drowned was hilarious and I really like how you highlighted Frecklewish specifically on friend. The hidden maple leaves in Mapleshade's design is just the cherry on top!
I LOVE the foreshadowing in their eyes. Freckwish's having a squiggle like a snake, Appledusk's being three lines similar to how he was the third cat Mapleshade killed! AAA I love people with interesting art styles!!1!!
The song really gives a more sinister/dreadful vibe and fits with Mapleshade's character quite well. Especially the lines: "Who's sorry now?", "I tried to warn you'' and especially ''You had your way! Now you must pay!". The zoom in as it transitions from her being alive to dead sent chills up my spine (in a good way ^^). The whimsical pointy art also helps with conveying this :3

@@filiclawz it does! i also feel like any old-timey song specifically with a female singer provides a sort of menacing aura so they’re great to use for villain characters, so it’s really cool when you score one that the lyrics match as well!

If you look at the pupils of some of the characters, you can see that they foreshadow their cause of death. Ravenwing: Two lines that represent the claw/bite marks where Mapleshade attacked him Freckledwish: The wiggly line represents a snake (She was killed by snake venom when she got bit in the eye) Appledusk: 3 lines that represent claw marks where Mapleshade's claws pierced his throat Larchkit: Squiggly waves that represent the river he drowned in Petalkit: Squiggly waves that represent the river she drowned in Patchkit: Squiggly waves that represent the river he drowned in (Bonus!) Mapleshade has X in her eyes to represent how she became the villain

I think my favorite part of this is the shape language, you have so many beautiful shapes for these characters, especially maple shade herself with her fur and ears making her head look almost like a maple leaf
WOW this is fantastic!! Firstly, I love your art style. Every character's expressions are drawn so well, and the cartoony contrast to Maple's gruesome story is really well done. Despite that cartoony style, the transition to Maple's black silhouette with the scratchy lines at the bottom, dark red eyes and no other facial expression whatsoever caught me off guard and was really unsettling because of the stark contrast to the cute way she's drawn in the frame before (and the rest of the PMV) The sad eyes of her kits added to that too. I absolutely love the designs because of color, how easily recognizable the characters are, the different ear and fur shapes, and just how unique they are. They're all very good! The symbolism is very well incorporated. I love the apple that takes Appledusk's place when Maple kills him in the beginning. Also the different highlights in the characters eyes seem symbolic? Maple's eyes have a X (maybe because she's a murderer) and Freckle's have a little squiggle seen at 0:54 that looks like it resembles a snake which is great foreshadowing! The kittens also have water shaped eye highlights (maybe bec they drowned). The others look like slashes? The quality of the PMV itself in terms of composition is great too. Song choice, panning and camera movement, transitions, the text on the screen, pacing (nothing went too fast-- I could see a lot of detail and read the text), storytelling, etc. New sub, you're very talented! I'm glad you didn't give up on this PMV, it's incredible! ❤️✨

And yes you're correct ^^ I try to make the shine in their eyes foreshadow something important related to the characters, I don't know why but the "x" came naturally for Mapleshade for a bunch of reasons (like her EX being the main motivation for her actions), Freckle's is indeed a snake, and Appledusk is 3 slashes or 3 claw scars for the 3 kittens, who do have waves in their eyes. I had a harder time deciding what eye shines the other cats should have, since I try to give each cat a unique one even tho it's not possible with the number of characters there are but it's worth a try. But oh my stars again tysm for the feedback! I love reading what people think of the pmv and you included a bunch of stuff, like the pacing! at first, I was worried about that because at first it felt too slow in some parts but I'm glad that's not the case!! ^^

This style reminds me of littlest pet shop with the exaggerated proportions and expressions and the big eyes with the shapes in them and I absolutely love it. It contrasts with the story it's telling in such a fun way and I haven't seen anything like it in warriors pmvs before!

I love how the shape of their pupils reflect the way they died! I noticed some examples of this through frecklewish's pupils, which are shaped like snakes, and patchkit, larchkit, and petalkit's pupils are shaped like little waves. Neat!
I really like the detail of dead cats eyes covered by something representing their killers, like the maple leaves covering appledusk, i noticed it with your ashfur pmv with the hollyleaves!
