Yep, my wife and I are self taught wwsup addicts. Your videos were our classroom but the lab is the river where there is only one rule, Paul’s rule; “get low and paddle hard”; otherwise your swimming, which typically is not pleasant. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Paul.

Love the content- I’m new to whitewater sports but love all the northwest footage as it reminds me of my childhood summers as a Washington/Oregon native. Your videos keep the stoked up and your content put new river spots on my radar. It’s a bit addicting 😅

What thickness is your wet suit? 2mm? What dictates your choice to use wet vs dry suit?

What dictates the decision of whether to wet or drysuit really is subjective. I prefer drysuits in most cold water/weather scenarios. Yet the wetsuit is preferred for surfing. Some friends swear by or the other in any condition. Drysuits are fragile and expensive. They will still be wet with sweat and leaks. And too buoyant for all but mushy rive waves while surfing. Yet, for downriver all day play, wearing a drysuit is much more comfortable, I think.
