Really enjoyed this. Of course I will be back next week! If only for the cat break 😊 the time window reminded me of a combination of a control room in an electricity substation (something I'm very familiar with) and an old mechanical railway signal box (less so!) everything about this looks so good. Here's for the finale.

I found this a really tense episode, and the reveal had me sitting there with my mouth open in shock because I knew who Sutekh was. I haven't watched it a second time yet, and I'm not sure if I want to because I've heard a few people saying it doesn't hold up well on subsequent viewings thanks to leaning so heavily on the big moment.

The UK has government-subsidised Youth Work Experience programs, so I guess UNIT has one too, even if it puts teenagers in potential harm's way. Because UNIT.

Well they had Rose investigating shoplifting. Not sure what UNIT’s interest in shoplifting is-was it extraterrestrial or supernatural shoplifting involved? I figured she’d be some kind of intern or something given she helped defeat an extraterrestrial villain and being incorporated in the 14th Doctor’s found family.

@@zemoxian The reason they'd send her to investigate shoplifting in nondescript part of London is to see if there's any alien or weird stuff there, and as a kid, it'd be easier for the kids there to tell her stuff too rather than some olds in a suit. She'll know how to deal with any weird or alien stuff from her "uncle" and mom by now.

That last ten minutes was a lot to process. I've no ideas what to expect next week other than plaguey rainclouds. Why was Sutekh waiting is a good question. Yes, he's not been just trapped by salt or something. If RTD is on form Sutekh has a few deadly publish buttons to hit.

It actually took me 5 seconds to understand your costume this week and I legit thought "ah man is she sick?" lol I actually hadn't realized that the time window does look like a classic who intro so that's really cool to see it like that. Once again I think your cat disliked this episode solely because of the dog
