Who the Hell is Jake Browning? Out of nowhere Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning tore apart the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football. Who is this 27 year old QB, and can the Bengals rely on him to get them into the postseason?
#bengals #jakebrowning #quarterback #nfl #cincinnati #washington #jamarrchase #thatsgoodsports #brandonperna #cincinnatibengals #browning #heismantrophy #heisman #qb #nflplayoffs #joeburrow
After Joe Burrow injured his wrist, Jake Browning is keeping the offense cooking. Ja'Marr Chase had a huge game, and Joe Mixon has picked it up in the run game.

He's probably Joe Burrow's clone or something. If you think about it they both have the same initials and the number 9 is you switch it upside down it becomes a six

I really don't understand why people are always so surprised when a back up does something like this. He's been properly developed over a period of years, like talented QBs should be (the current level of impatience of organizations, fans and media is infuriating and ruining careers) AND the defense has no tape on him to study. So they don't know his tendencies and weaknesses yet. The true test of his good a QB can be in this league is the adjustments they make after defenses get enough tape to study. Also, we've all seen what a QB becomes when they've had time to sit and learn for a couple years, organizations should go back to that idea. Create stability, culture, and the idea that a player had time to develop and learn, you might get something special. If not, rinse and repeat, don't be a Tepper and fire someone immediately. But they won't change...

Yeah most baseball pitchers don’t debut until 24 or 25, although they tend to play longer/ later into their 30s than most QBs-Brady and even Brees excepted. Great video Brandon, love your channel! As a bengals fan think we got to give a lot of credit to Zac Taylor and the staff as well for Monday. When he was with the rams he ran a very run and play-action heavy offense with Goff and Gurley which they did great with. He was running a similar offense in Cincy, before Joey B came. Burrow loves to have the field spread out with no back in the backfield, and doesn’t really like play-action, so Zac switched his offensive scheme to that. And when Joe got hurt, for that Pittsburgh game, Browning ran mostly the Burrow offense, and it didn’t look great because obviously, no one else in the league is Joe Burrow. But we switched to Zac’s old style of offense on Monday, and it worked amazing. Major credit for Zac to realizing what works best to win, and that’s impressive by the rest of the team they all switched that new philosophy so well very quickly. And these Bengals have too much dawg in them to give up, no matter who’s on the field. WHO DEY!

I'm a Colts fan. I cantntell younthe mixed feelings watching Browning play like that against the Jags. Underdog succeeding? Love it Jags losing? Awesome Hosting the Colts ina game with significant playoff implications? NOOOOOOOO

As a UW fan I hope Browning can succeed enough for the Bengals to make up for Ross being a bust. Not even a Bengals fan I just felt bad he didn’t live up to his draft status.

Wait? Both Bengals QBs have chemistry with Chase and have played with him before? I think the Bengals thought ahead here and had an emergency plan.

Kind of reminds me of Jon Kitna, who also percolated for a while before getting some quality starts. And also showed up in Tiger stripes for a year

Jake Browning is from my hometown. He was insane good. I was surprised he wasn't drafted. Should have been but I'm glad he's here now.

Coach Peterson always said Browning was one the most intensely driven qb's he has met, always looking at film and trying to figure out how to improve. Seems like that has made all the difference, very glad he is getting his moment to shine.

This is the year of the hidden star QB: Joshua Dobbs, Jake Browning, and Dorian Thompson Robinson. Brock Purdy is obviously the king of that group. They are all nice surprises, and all are young with great potential. In 3-4 years, Lawrence, Purdy, Stroud, Browning, DTR, and Dobbs will own the league if their teams continue to develop them correctly. Seattle’s Drew Lock can still be a somebody too!

He’s been in the Bengals system for 3 years now. Mostly with the scout team and second string players during the past two preseasons. But you put him under center with the #1 receivers they have in Cincinnati he becomes a much better quarterback. As long as Browning plays consistent,he will have success for the remainder of the season.
