You joke but I had to jungle as slowbro cause my team was brain dead and we won by 4 points thanks to me hard carrying with telekinesis surf and slow beam. I was the only level 15 on my team
@@megastarchairizard9329 slowbro is great. Hes a good offensive tank. His abilities and ult reflect that with his ability to detain pokemon. Hes almost a support in how he can help draw attention by retricting enemies
This video is very helpful. Your tips got me to wins some matches and pull my weight to the team after losing and being carried a lot. Amazing video Cuppajoe.
Thanks. I was mostly using Garchomp & Machamp (basically all rounders) but since I liked using Pikachu & your explanation of speedsters makes me want to delve into them more
Mostly playing Eldegoss and Mr Mime. Haven't fully found what's best item wise yet but I am liking exp share for Eldegoss. I know it's not going to make you be the shining star of your team but I feel having one person that is adding more exp into your teams economy. This let's your carry get buff. With Mime if there is lots speedsters go Gaurd Swap otherwise the utility of walls are just to damn good to pass up.
This guide is written amazingly well, and the clarity of your delivery made it really easy to understand everything on my first watch. You just earned yourself a new subscriber!
Funny ya mention 'creativity with way of playin Pokémon'... while waiting for Mobile Release so I can FINALLY get to be able to play the game, i'm watching Vids like these to learn the game better, study, & cook up future Mad Pokémon Unite Science Experiments to try out... :D 2 Mad Science Experiments i'm especially curious how they'll work out...: * Venusaur: Petal Dance + Giga Drain, Slow Smoke or X Attack (Leaning towards X Attack, but dunno how often foes will or will not try to flee from me...), Shell Bell + Wise Glasses + Rocky Helmet = "Zerkersaur". Don't get me wrong, I love doin damage & Solar Beam's damage is righteous... but i'll never have what it takes to be a good Sniper. I'm better at Melee play, & i've always thought it was odd that his Boosted Attack effect would be something that De-Synergizes with Sniping so hard... Snipers don't wanna frickin pull foes into their own Face! O_0 Instead I wanna see if I can make a Venusaur Strat that's more mine & fitting my Playstyle & make a AoE Damage Monster that DOES Synergize with his Boosted Attack effect, plus takes advantage of his ability to self heal, do good damage, & takes advantage of his being the most bulky of the Attackers. Who knows? It could be so crazy it just might work if I can find a way of running it that manages to keep the strengths Front & Center & avoid the Weaknesses getting Backstabbed. :D Imagine how fun it'd be sneaking into a Bush up to distracted foes, popping X Attack then Unite Move-ing into their midst & not even waiting for it to finish lobbing in before charging in with Petal Dance, use Giga Drain for some heal + further damage after taking some panic counter-damage, aiming Basic Attacks onto foes likely to wanna panic run away to have Boosted Attack try to pull them back into the damage to eat more of it... I wonder if this could do some rad AoE total damages & either leave them dead or ya go down eventually but they are so devastated that the rest of your team mops up & maybe potentially has a 5 v 5 turn into 4 v 0! Could the Warcry of "ZERKERSAUR!!!" someday become a source of fear for enemies...? ^_^ * Talonflame: (Moves not yet decided... i'm not seeing any clear winners as to what i'll manage to operate & work with best with this Strategy + Playstyle...), Fluffy Tail or Goal Getter (Need to try both & see which pulls more weight for this Strategy... The Strategy plans for favoring large numbers of small Goals, but there could come times when large Points Numbers get raked up... Big Teamfight Wins for example...), Attack Weight + Aeos Cookie + Score Shield = "(Build Name TBD...)". This is a Mad Experiment aimed at getting the Initial Jungle done, managing a good early Gank, then scoring 6 small Goals for Max Attack Weight + Aeos Cookie Boost asap to become more murderous vs squishier foes like Gardevior & opposing Speedsters while favoring Hit & Run over Direct Combat, while simultaneously the Health Boosts from Aeos Cookie can synergize with Score Shield & make this Talonflams a Score Making Monster people could easily not expect cause this is not a Arceus Damned 'Meta Talon'. The Arceus Damned Meta can "Kiss my Shiny Glitch Ass". :P
Just followed you on Twitch last night and subed. Great content, really like your clear explanations and making it easy for noobs like me to understand. Gonna keep watching your streams to see how the best players play. I started with Snorlax and love playing him so far.
I love playing Alolan Ninetales, and I am trying to build a good venasaur. Alolan Ninetales is my main, I play her as a supportive attacker, especially with avalanche and aurora veil 👌🏼
I know this video is old but I really needed this, I’ve been playing with alolan ninetails since I started and I thought it was by luck I kept winning with a random Pokémon I chose, but attacker is really for me and now I main alolan ninetails.
Don’t waste time. So many whales already in this game easily critting over 1k -10k dmg on auto attackks AT LVL 5 . Just type Pokemon Unite is Pay to win
I personally main speedster and really really love it, but I HATE when people think haha I'll snipe the lillipup. In exchange I snipe their Audinos, it throws off an early level 4 for a gank or the level 5 after the double corphish clear for someone like Talonflame who wants to begin a gank at lvl 5. I watched your Jungle Guide with Pollux, it was amazing and definitely put me ahead of the curve when it comes to jungling in Unite. (As a random note I think Charizard makes a better jungler than laner and Gengar vice versa but I'm still only Great Ball tier so my opinions are trash.)
Hey I watched this to see if I picked the right Pokemon for me and I did - I picked Talonflame early on and found I am very good at watching the board and adjusting.
As someone who the mains are blissey, sylveon and venusaur, i must say that if you're in the beginning and want to be a supporter, blissey is VERY easy to use because her as ofensive side is really bad, so you'll probably regret if play with her in this way. It was not going to talk about it, but well anyways, i guess venusaur is also very good to begin as an attacker bc all of its moves are very good, so it's just by your liking and judging of what works better. Sylveon on the other hand, may be harder to begginers but is also good to play
What starter are you going to choose I’m gonna choose Charizard he was fun to play and looks cool which is my criteria cause I’m not competitive at all lol
I agree with the Curstle. I had a Eldegoss and a Rabboot with me 3v4 against a Gabite, Zeraora, Pikachu and Charmander and we managed to eliminate them with the Shell Break and X-Scissor. Rabboot and Eldegoss did good aswell i think Rabboot managed to kill the Pikachu and assist me with Gabite. Eldegoss used spammed Cotton guard and Leaf Tornado. Then Eldegoss got its unite move so we got to kill them all just from the help of Eldegoss getting their Unite. So i do reccomend Curstle. But as the man said. Be carefull with when you use Shell Break. It is basically a 50/50 chance of Killing them all or killing atleast 1 and dying in the process.
I started off as a Supporter with Eldegoss and Hoopa, then I am playing attacker role as a Venusaur. Hoopa and Venusaur is a 100% winrate for me. Hoopa with his hyperspace hole and Phantom force and Venusaur's Giga Drain Solar beam. After giving my Venusaur items it became a self healing tank
Omg sankyu so much! I purchased gengar when I could because it's one of my favorite pokemon, but it was so squishy that I felt like I couldn't do anything while regularly being k.o.ed by other gengar players- XD
Surprisingly, I just started and have gotten to rank 10 so far while only playing support, really just Blissey, working on buying Eldegoss next lol. It’s probably cause I always play as a Cleric in Dark Souls, Borderlands, etc. I guess I’m just used to supporting lol
Say I want to play either attacker or all rounder, and I love it when my enemy starts to flee and I just stop them outright and slay them. Who should I play, and should I be an attacker or an all rounder?
Also should mention at the moment I main alolan ninetails, and like to combo the ice block thing with the (I believe it’s called) blizzard that does more damage pushing into a wall, and against a mob I can get the combo perfect, but always seem to screw up frequently against players.
Lucario and tsareena are great at catching players fleeing the team fight. Ninetales and pikachu are good for stunning opponents who are still in the team fight.
Couldn't agree more with that support can be really tough to learn in this game. I've mained support in other games and thought it would probably be my niche here too... But no. I might feel confident taking my little healer self into a 1v1 with a high damage character in another game, but my Eldegoss is 'if anyone looks at me at all, my Leaf Tornado is to throw my team at it or for me to beat feet and hide.' Supports are super fragile in this and if you slip up and become aggressive as a support you will absolutely suffer for it.
After the game, I notice I am assisting more than my teammates even if I play as an All rounder or an attacker or even as a speedster. I usually main Slowbro but my teammates I am paired usually want to score or kill the enemy team.
Absol is for pros, not for new players Its not just about mindless attacks but have to calculate and predict every fight and know its mechanics, ur absol fights were as if it was from an expert class Also its kinda ur responsibility to simultaneously defend both lanes unless ur a farmer, farming while ur teammates are dying 5 feet away from u
Gengar is absolutely broken. His sludge bomb + hex combo is just so ridiculously op. If you get hit by his sludge bomb then you are already dead. I hope they nerf that combo.
Unless you have full heal, your unite move Or you are a snorlax with block, anyways gengar is the best character thanks to that combo and I would get him, but the fear of him getting nerfed into oblivion is holding me back
@@michaelh878 the biggest problem is the cool down removal, I would suggest to just halve it making it 3 seconds, because just one second with all the invincibility frame that hex provides is absolutely crazy
I think it can work too, but at that point you are not being a very effective defender for your team, so it’s not what I chose to recommend in this video. I’ll definitely be taking a look at dps Snorlax in the future though.
Yay.....thought about maining gerinja but after this I gotta main absol. Also I picked talonflame as my starter, thanks for making me love speedseters!
Howdy! We played against each other the other day and I fangirled hard 😂 You're my favorite Pokemon Unite streamer by far. Thanks for making the great content!
Looked around but didn't see a video about hold and battle items. Are these pretty flexible or are you planning on making a video about them? Also choosing which specials to upgrade would be awesome too 🙏
Once the game comes out I’ll definitely be making a guide on both topics, but I’m waiting in case things change on release. For the most part held/battle items can be pretty flexible, especially at the start of the game when a meta hasn’t developed and nobody has leveled up their items. You won’t be at a huge disadvantage for picking the wrong item because we’ll all be using the wrong items xD
I have to somewhat disagree on the powerspike of all rounders. I've done a lot of games with al rounders and your powerspike can come sooner than late game. Generally if I get a bit ahead and evolve first into gabite or charmeleon before my opponent I can start snowballing very quickly.
Something slowbro has that slowpoje doesnt is a better heal since you can animation cancle it enabling you to gain the health while also still defending
I love speedsters and try to go jungle whenever possible. I love to punish the squishy mons who get cocky and melting them down. Works everytime. Sadly I keep getting teammates who call jungle after I do or don't call it and go jungle anyway even tho I called it first. Thankfully I don't really play ranked so for the most part I'm able to relegate my Absol to a lane and do fine, unless the enemy lane has a ton of CC. Then I get sad.
Garchomp is great for people who like to deal alot of damage within seconds and garchomp(from my experience) can take Zapdos out pretty quickly on his own
This is a great video and super helpful, but I think you read the Lucario abilities wrong. I play him and it took a really really long time to get good because he’s super particular with combos but I usually win 75-90% of garchomp 1-on-1s late game. Again, he’s just really weird and takes a lot of getting used to.
List and hear me out please but a update on this video would be very appreciated especially since the meta and definitions of each of the roles has changed
I main pikachu and lucario so glad i bought him pikachu is basically disgusting the damage is insane and then lightning bolt is broken with the lighting jab broken combo
In my opinion cinderaces looks are pretty cool and that holo stuff pirate looks awesome. I use cinderace long range and sometimes get greedy. Im new to the game but i just go in and then either die or get out alive with like 2 hp.
i hope they add nedo king/queen one or the other is a costume (they basically the same) and aggron as an all rounder / metagross as a tank / flygon as a speed type. so much more lol they got allot of choices. those are the ones i wanna see most. OH and alakazam abra is best boy
This video is very helpful and it's going to help me alone with getting better at the game and I think you should have made a more broader list of rolls and stuff I guess with me playing with Snorlax and it's been my favorite defender is just something I feel naturally into but I do have the tendency to try to get like help with scoring because sometimes they put me on teams with people that tend to not know they roll kind of fade off and kind of do their own thing and stuff and then sometimes when I try to go get them necessary points I always get corned by the other team like three or four members and I'm like f*** I'm about to get KO lol 🤣🤣🤣
Just use snorlax if defender on a new player, slowbro feels to me on a veteran or expert ranks u might wanna change him because slowbro is more like a support to me
Id say crustle is the best defender LOOK AT ITS UNITE MOVE you can litteraly score a 50 infront of the whole entire enemy team and then run away using shell smash
Defender =/= tank. Defender is more like goalkeeper. And yes they tend to be tanky, but their job is not to protect other Pokémon, their job is to deny the enemy team to score goals.
why do you think slowbro isnt that good? as someone who came from LoL his basic abilities surf and telekinesis are literally just 2 ults on a 10 second cooldown he's really good at protecting his squishy carries from enemy speedsters because his entire kit is a 'fuck you in particular' so when the enemy teams win condition revolves around 1 or 2 high damage dealers with a few supports and defenders and utility attackers like ninetales, a good slowbro can single handedly win the game because timing telekinesis on an enemy that cant dodge during the third knockup of surf into your ult guarantees at least 5 seconds of their fed talonflame or gengar not being able to do anything while getting bursted down by your backline and from experience running rocky helmet, focus band and shell bell on slowbro makes it impossible to kill him without 3 or more people because he stores all a percentage of all the damage he takes so he cant be bursted down without healing back up from shell bell and focus band
I just had never seen anyone do anything good with his early game, but yeah later in the game I think he can be about as good as Snorlax depending on if your team can capitalize on what the slowbro is doing.
honestly its more like snorlax and crustle are designed to engage for their team to gain an advantage in a fight while slowbros kit is all about disengaging to make the enemy team lose their advantage
Great tips but seems like you had to prep alot for this and makes it seem like you cant talk based on knowledge you have known for a while based on previous games which this game is completely different from other mobas so maybe the comps will be different from what has previously been seen before like 5 attackers or 5 tanks based on damage and being able to cc its hard to make a video like this in the beginning of a game like this but good work nonetheless. Played league for 5 years and it seems this game is definitely different based off how unbalanced the pokemon are so far
