Brian May's masterpiece played acoustic by Jiji, a singer with a vegan heart! No auto-tuning used! Just some compression and reverb, what you see is what you get! For more videos, visit: www.maccaband.com & / jiji.thevoice .
Wow! I clicked your video to see how you'd play this song on acoustic but was not prepared to hear such a remarkable vocal performance. Very impressive.
Should I assume i am talking to Jiji? (Ha! Looks like my pic just got added to my profile) Should I also assume you play in MaccaBand? Where are you based?
Hi Jiji, I suspected you were on the European side of the water! I'm in Vancouver. I have started producing some shows in the Vancouver area using an ensemble cast of musicians. Some clips can be seen at www.greatgiginnewwest.com (click "can you hear me now" tab for more clips). I am planning a show in february and Who Wants to Live Forever is on the agenda (with a full choir). I would love to have invited you to join us if you were local!
Oh, thank you very much! Even if I am on the other side of the water, I am extremely flattered! I checked your website and you have an interesting project and the good thing is that the singers sing with their own voices! However, maybe in the future... Who knows? Thanks again, Michael!
I've based my own version of this song on your chord voicings and it's given me the courage to sing it as well. I'm a tenor myself, but that B4 is always the most challenging note. The great thing about this song is that it encompasses the best of the tenor range.
Hey mate, most kind of you! You sound like you study music for real and I truly appreciate you mentioning the B4 note, or whatever. I sing and play by instinct and from my poor technique, that was simply the only way I could reach that note. Thanks again!
@@Innuband Your technique is just fine, sir. You take risks. They don't teach you that at college. They instead teach you to sing it safe and regurgitate unproven ideas about how singers lose their voices or damage vocal cords if they use their head voice. A singer should be constantly challenging their range. If you don't USE those high notes, you will undoubtedly LOSE them over time. Keep singing challenging songs!
I just had to comment! This was fucking INCREDIBLE!! What a remarkable cover... you truly touched my soul with that gifted voice of yours. Many blessings and respect to you...😘
You are probably much better than I, already, Thais! For your information, I'm not a professional singer. I'm just a "passionate hobbiest", but thanks very kindly for your words!
Believe me, I'm way far from being better than you! And I believe there is no difference between being a professional singer or like you said "passionate hobbiest", if you're abble to sing putting your heart out this way you're already a professional by nature.
It's just amazing... Your way of playing this piece of master is just as perfect as possible at guitar but also in vocal interpretation. Thank you for this great moment
Thank you very kindly, Sebastien! As I mentioned earlier, sooner or later I'll post a "home-made" tutorial about this performance, so stay tuned! ;-) Jiji
Grazie di cuore, Federico! Ne ho fatto anche una versione più recente, se ti interessa: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L3mJ6Czpf7E.html.
Wow man! What a performance! This song is almost an anthen for me. I was looking for a guitar acoustic performance and yours is perfect! Very Very good! Good surprise!
Your performance touched my heart and is so inspiring!! I am a singer and a guitarist as well. Oh, if I could only do this as well as you. Just beautiful!
Thanks very kindly, Slavik! I am no pro, just a "passionate hobbiest musician", but to be appreciated by beautiful and sensitive people like you, means a lot to me. If I was in front of you I would hug you and give you a kiss! :-) Thank you very much! Jiji - The Veg-Italian busker
Most king of you, Thoryn! Your bariton voice is surely suitable for other songs, that I'm not able to sing properly with my tenor range. ;-) Ciao, Jiji
Thanks very much, Michael! And recently I did a new one which is, in my opinion, even better: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L3mJ6Czpf7E.html. Ciao!
