In the kurukshetra war, when Ashwathama killed all Upapandavas (Droupadi sons), Arjuna went to kill Ashwathama. But Droupadi told Arjuna to forgive Ashwathama as he is Guruputra. There is a difference between Kouravas and Ashwathama. Kouravas were direct culprits but Ashwathama did only for Duryodhanana. Droupadi and Bheema did prathigna to kill Duryodhan and Dushyasana. Ashwathama was a Brahmin also. Nobody in that time, were killing Brahmins and cows. Droupadi akshay patra is not fake story. Even now also that Akshay patra is in Udupi Krishna mutt. With the blessings of lord Krishna, daily they are serving thousands of devotees.
