@@georgetanner7373, an angel who caused his people to seek refuge in all parts of the world! People were running like crazy to survive. Even basic foodstuffs were banned … most notably FLOUR… the bread of life .
@@khemrajpersaud9650 flour was never banned. He reduced the amount of flour coming into the country, because on his trip to India, he discovered that roti was made from rice flour and he was jubilant on his return to share that information with the people. Flour was a US subsidized program, and he wanted you ungrateful Guyanese to grow your own rice flour industry. Flour is now a major global commodity and a lot of you idiots are using it now to make roti. The PPP brainwashed you people.
@Bantu-King you have no shame and you can say what you want jadgeo is the best after cheddi Jagan he brought guyana out of debt and he worked hard with all the financial institutions to bring guyana out of the debt that your father Burnham put guyana into Burnham thief guyana monies and think that he was smart but hevis one of the most stupid person guyana ever produced you can go to hell
@@Bantu-King what jadgeo did for guyana you nor your entire generation will ever make any positive impact to guyana led by the best economists guyana have in its modern history
@@khemrajsukhram1538 you’re right! I wouldn’t kill 1400 east Indians just because they didn’t vote for me. I would not enrich myself with the national wealth and leave the people to suffer. I wouldn’t silence anyone who speak out against my inhumane policies. This is the legacy of Jagdeo!
@@user-fy9oj1pg6s Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us: we'll be featuring much more in this great political leader in future episodes look out for an upcoming 3 part series discussing his contributions to Caribbean history.
@@StevenBiko1 on point comment .... I agree with you.... wanted Guyana to produce their own rather than be a dumping ground for foreign goods.... now we are importing more than we are exporting under this current PPPAC
@StevenBiko1 he was visionary by thieving guyana monies and took it to Swiss Bank only for the Swiss government to change the laws of the country and Burnham couldn't have had any money
He is still the best President that Guyana ever produced.... then Granger was the second best President..... Under his leadership..... Rogu Khan would not be able to flourish like he does under the PPPC... He stood up for all his people and refused to allow Guyana to be a dumping ground for goods .... he preferred thay Guyanese produced their own
His vision of self sufficiency was a very good start. Back in the days we produced refrigerators, tapir vehicles and thee list goes on.... Do like the amerindians, they have ketchup factories, pepper factories right here in Guyana's interior.
Interesting perspective! Everyone is entitled to their views. Burnham was a savior to those who loved him. Like every leader he was flawed. Only the Almighty could be his true judge. International pundits assess leaders with their own biases. Yet, those are the voices that dominate the world. Knowing these limitations are liberating to a person's soul.
@erwinkthomas5114 let me tell you this I agree that some who benefit from Burnham atrocities on the good side will remember Burnham and who like you said that loved him.sir believe with how much people love him it wasn't much think about how many face his punishment or his evil actions against them think about how many people cry against him he is considered the most brutal, unethical and dangerous man ever to walk the land of guyana 🇬🇾
@@khemrajsukhram1538 I am still waiting to hear of the atrocities that the honorable LFSB committed against the East Indian people in Guyana. Identity one! On another note, you folks have no understanding of geopolitics and the things that states may do to protect sovereignty and economic viability of the country and region.
Thanks for that! It was indeed 1970 that Guyana became a Republic - this will be corrected. Our gratitude for pointing this out. Thank you for caring enough to make that observation. AD
That was the best time in Guyana,he was the people's man,and very inteligent and full of goodness for all the people in Guyana,he was no racist he was for all of the people
@@patrickmacky6400 just finished a 600page book on history of Guyana. My sense is that burnham was an egotistical and sought power at the expense of everyone.
