As a fellow University professor, I’m unable to conjure up the combination of words needed to express my admiration for these brilliant insights. I’m looking forward to auditing one of his courses in 2023.

Great lecture - very interesting., I listened from here in Melbourne Australia. I believe there is a Tradition that the ARI Tzl once said the main purpose for His soul descending to this world was in order to teach R Chaim Vital Tzl the secrets of The Torah.

Tzfat is indeed mentioned in the Bible (שופטים פרק א)

From the context there it is clear that that tzfat is in the south, in the negev, and is therefore not the same place as the tzfat in the galilee

Dr Abramson, could you do a video on Hillel Kook ( Peter Bergon) and or Rabbi Kahane? These two hero's were shunned by American leftist types...only recently have both of their causes and efforts now correct.Shalom.PS Rabbi Mohilever was Kehanes inspiration for religious Zionism.

you said pirkei avos says "Without flower there is no Torah". I think this ties into the ancient Hebrew meaning of tsitsit (when Israelites where still writing their own hieroglyphs, ancient pictographic Hebrew) which is blossom, the murex tekhelet purple/blue being so died to remind us to bear spiritual fruit i.e., do mitzvot. I learned this from Jeff A. Benner's you tube videos on ancient pictographic Hebrew.
