Who were nine trekkers lost their lives in Uttarakhand blizzard during Sahastra Tal trek? 

I am from SDRF uttrakhand Our team rescued these trekkers

Being a trekker myself i must say that trekking in the himalayas is really dangerous. Trekking in india rely much on local traditional knowledge of local guides and less on current technology like sattlite navigation. India dosnt have a sattlite emergency messenger and response system. At the most they rely on a cb radio. One must know that in Uttarakhand habitation at the max is at 12500 ft so even for the local guide any situation beyond 13000 ft is not an everyday event. So its very important that you must have a trained guide along with all Nevtech and emergency comms equipment. Rip the brave souls.

I am from Himachal and my advice is never do a trek without a local..

Mai uttarakhand se hu mujhe un k liye bura lga jin ki jaan chale gyi... but uttarakhand har tareeke se khatarnak hai...last year hi bhut tej barish hui makano k beech se ek makaam gir gya pariwar k 6 logo ki death ho gyi...to socho direct pahado k kya haal hoga insaan ki apni strength ek trf nature ki apni strengh ek trf ...

On the summit day they started on 5:30 am. I dont how the trekking agency planned their schedule. Generally the start time on the summit day is around 12-2 am in night. So that they eventually return back to their base camps befor 2-3pm. It is never recommended to trek beyond 3pm on the mountains at higher altitudes since weather can turn disastrous anytime after that!

South Indian s can not face cold that I have seen many times. So they should not come mountain during winter time. Their sole May Rest in peace 🎉.

Aap log bagwan k darshan pe aaye ho yaa picnic pe aaye ho😢😢

2021 mee Himacha pe Trek k doran marte marte bacha. Weather bohot kharap ho gaya tha, Hum 7 Trekkers the... Humne Return karne k decision liya... Jo ki bohot heart braking tha... Par Jaan bachane k liye lot aya... Nahi to khatam hoo jate

RIP to those who lost their life am from tehri garhwal i was in my maternal's village during covid as it was lockdown everywhere but here our house was 2.5km away from road in dense forest along with 3 other houses situated at around 100 200 mtr distances, main village is 1.5km from here.. i was enjoying with cousins during covid here we used to go with our cattle everyday.. one fine day at around 2pm while we were half way going back to our home we were in a route which was in middle of two mountains taking rest for while, suddenly from bright sunny day in went to dark cloudy day it was like bright 2 pm to dark 8pm in just a moment and hailstorm occured we sat under a tree for a while after around 5 6 min we heard a sound i swear i havent heard sound like that before in my life we could hear that sound coming close to us i couldnt understand anything but one of my cousin shouted to take cattle at high place from the narrow valley i dont know how with whistles and other methods of calling cattle they hurried them to little higher place within 5 min but one of the cow and pair of bull couldnt make it i saw tons of sand along with boulders rushing downward, it took them... this all happened in just 20mins time after that we saw that rocky route filled with sand, the route where we cant even walk properly was filled with sand and rocks looks like we can drive car over it, our uncles and other cousins along with 3 more family came searching us after the incident... after that we searched for 3 missing cattles 2 were dead on spot buried under sand one was injured its joints were broken from every parts of its body 15 people carried it back to home where it passed after 4 days, doctor decided to put him down as it was impossible for that bull to survive that pain and all.... i swear i couldnt even explain that moment ,mountains arent that easy we cant predict what may happen in a moment. those 2 cattles were found after a week of continuous rain when sand went off with water

It is supposed to be a moderate level trek and summit height is just 4600 meters. This wasn't supposed to happen.

Trekking is different from pilgrimage...in trekking you have to manage yourself everything...from food,lodging, medical aid, no one is there to help you in distress or emergency...but in pilgrimage their are facilities...I have myself done kedarnath yatra(16 km ), amarnath yatra 34km in 1 day from sheshnag to holy cave and then back to baltal as there is no stay near holy cave nor back to the baltal .

When there is heavy snow , don’t go without the help of locals. Better to visit in summers.

56 km ka rudranath ka trek humne 24 ghante m pura kr diya ta..Vo bhi tufaan or bhari barish k beech

I think some serene places should be left alone. These are ecologically sensetive areas. Kedarnath, manali, vaishno devi are all facing over tourism and destruction of local ecology for infrastructure
