2 wins in last 8 cracking 21 pts once Dallas with 5 field goals. Defense put in miserable spots they have done as much as you could ask. Now you have an old team headed for a non playoff season.
Not even just simplify. He can’t even install the most basic of football plays. Everything has to be excessive motions just to throw a swing pass or a jet sweep. It’s almost like McDaniel fell in love with the media praising him for his motions so now EVERYthing has to be off a motion and shift when it doesn’t need to be
Clearly, McDaniel needs to be more relaxed and secure in order to give him the tools to execute his exceptional skills. He needs to have his contact extended to 2033.
An example of how ill prepared this team is really stuck out for me at the start of the second half. They were taking the first snap after the kickoff and where was Tyreek? On the sideline getting his wrist taped up. They just had 15 minutes to do that. It's a small thing but when it's a lot of small things then it's a big thing.
Tyreek Hill is an overpaid, undersized spoiled brat and a poor human being to boot. Easiest WR1 to eliminate from the game plan in the NFL. Lots of speed but no physicality and has butter fingers when you need him most. But hey...let's keep supporting "Reek"
Yep time to fire everyone. Maybe they will sell the team and then change the name cause we get blown out by an 0-3 team. What a pathetic team. No way is this team going anywhere except to NE to get beat by brissett! Why i waste my time every year with this stupid team. This is so frustrating and embarrassing.
I completely have have it the wall with this team. I saw the train wreck that was coming. I don't watch them anymore. Tired of all the mental pain this organization brings. This team hasn't been good for nearly a quarter century. Please sell the team or move it out of Florida, Stephen Ross! You have thoroughly embarrassed this once proud organization. Enough is enough. Ross is all about marketing, not about winning.
McDaniel is a soft coach. Soft coaches create soft teams. Soft teams have soft cultures. Teams with soft cultures are undisciplined, unfocused, undriven and get nowhere when it matters (like in December and January) This team is all talk and no bite...a bunch of soft players in a soft clubhouse environment that are led by an even softer man who has no right to call himself a competent leader at this point...he can't lead and is completely in over his head as a coach.
we didn't like Flores....he was too hard on the players....he wanted discipline....he didn't want to tank, he prefered to build a Real team...What a disgrace this organization is....!!!!!!!!!!!
Every year we've been saying Chris Grier gotta go. How many more years do we need to keep blaming players! Just like any business, if a manager sucks, it brings down the whole company.
I'm not taking a lap here, but I saw really troubling playcall and game management trends with McDaniel from Day 1. He has never done anything to make me feel like he's getting better at being an HC or OC. To have given such a stacked team to a guy with so little experience at either is asking to have things end up like this. It all starts with ownership not knowing how to clean house entrust the right folks to run a competent football operation.
I’m sure most would agree with the issues outlined by you and many. It’s the fact that it’s getting worse, not better, that has this situation so bad right now.
Why not adjust the system to the players instead of the other way around? McDaniel has worn out his welcome. He has kept the worst Special Teams coach on staff, he refuses to adjust playbook, he can NOT galvenize players in the locker room. Bad and getting worse. Truth hurts.
Totally agree! Mr Ross what are you waiting for I think you are in your 80s now. You cost this organization a 1st and 3rd draft pick with tampering. Jon Gruden is available and he is an experienced super bowl winning coach. Bb is available I think he and Brady won 7 super bowls. So I assume you have chosen to keep doing the same things and possible expecting a different result. Sell the team you are clueless.
We’re right on track. We usually fall apart in the 3rd year. Rinse and repeat. This is the worse football I’ve seen the Dolphins play in a while. But it’s not just the HC. It’s the people that do the hiring. Nothing will change until Ross is humble enough to get someone with a football reputation in charge and get the hell out of the way.
@@tscardinal 🤐...being Dolphin fans we forgot our English....Have u heard mcdonalds addressing the press ..!!!!!!!!!...????????????????🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣...we are a joke from top to bottom....
@@gavriilnick4225 Dolphins fans been paying for filet Mignon prices for years and getting stale dog kibble for a team instead. When will we learn and stop supporting failure? The people still showing up to games are part of the problem! Diehard Dolphin fans = cash cow suckers to the Dolphins' organization. Wake up people. If you go to a restaurant and pay top dollar but the food sucks and it's dangerous to your health, would you keep eating there?? Well...The Miami Dolphins are a rat and roach infested eatery, stop taking your families and your money there.
GRIER: +10 OL drafted & none good(only 1 and let him go), all good defensive players were drafted by Flores and he missed TWICE on the most important position: QB
That seems to be McDaniels entire issue with his toxic positivity. This coach just huffs hopium at the start of the season. And never seriously prepares for adversity or bad outcomes with contingencies. They happily overpay starters to keep em happy. Which means the 2nd stringers are absolute gutter trash from the bargain bin! They end up getting caught off guard with no answers when shit goes sideways.
The way the Dolphins are playing I don't think they can beat any body!!!! Very Frustrating and depressing!!!! As far as Tua goes I have very little confidence he can stay healthy or be very effective!!!!
Holland's leaving in the offseason for sure because this team can't afford to pay him what he deserves for singlehandedly preventing the NFL's first 0-17 season.
New year, same shit. I just want to see the Dolphins win a playoff game, man. How is that too much to ask? Bad teams win playoff games all the time; why is this so fucking hard?
Ross's fault he put his trust in Grier and this is the result... better tank for a top QB draft and start all over again.... sadly. Shula is rolling over in his grave 😢
"No, let's calm down and wait for Tua to come back before we make any rash decisions. That wouldn't be fair to the team to throw in the towel when we can't properly assess this team while its starting QB is out" - the Management
I’m sorry. Results oriented league. Fire McDaniels, move Frank Smith to HC for remainder of the season. Grier to be let go at end of season - talent evaluation has been decent, but it’s too skewed to high ceiling without considering floor - in most cases, injuries. Many players will be waived, but we have a lot of talent and some of it young. Tua probably should go as well as Skylar. Terron, Robert Jones, T. Hill (trade him to a contender), Mostert, Wilson, Smythe, Lamm, Poyer, maybe J. Ramsey (let him go to a team that’s in the hunt), C. Campbell (who’s playing well), D. Riley, and C. Tindall. Many others are filler. We should try the younguns out before the end of the season. If we’re not winning games, it’s the coach. We’re a popular destination but I’m guessing parts of this are a generous owner, tax haven, weather and soft HC. We still haven’t led a game all season and no one wins at less than 12 points a game. Time to call a wrap on McDaniel’s time. New Coach has much to work with, but better O-line, conventional offense, and decent QB who’s not made of glass need to be found. More discipline is needed - an ogre isn’t needed but someone who practices and requires accountability. Andy Reid clone. Defensive coordinator is delivering decently thus far - we’ll see if it’s players only or design. We’re the worst team in the league - the owner should be furious at how much he’s paid for this steaming mess.
You are on the right track my friend. The NFL is a business. Teams look at us fans as their clients, it's time that Miami Dolphin fans understood this and spoke with their wallets if they expect change. Why pay Air Jordan prices and waste precious hours from your life every week to get old torn Walmart shoes instead? As a business product, the Dolphins are not holding up their end of the bargain, but people still fill the seats like zombies. Lol
We ARE the worst team in football. I just hope we lose rest of the games so we at least can get early picks in every round. Because this version of the Miami is unwatchable. Thanks for taking a hit for all of us Kyle by analyzing this crap.
Mcdanial is a one trick Pony... He needs to go. He has barely beat a team with a winning record in years. Tua needs to go as well. The rest of the team played lousy but I think the rest is salvageable.
@@tracetst2332I agree! Get rid of grier, demote Mc Daniels to coordinator and bring back Flores as head coach. They also need to fix the offensive line to protect TUA!
A complete mess! The play calling is just terrible. Kyle we appreciate everything you do. Looking forward to the conversation this week. Is it too early to start looking at drafting a QB in R1?
@@jim1407 rebuilding is better than not building at all in my opinion. What’s your suggestion just keep things as they are? And who’s to say that a new GM is not part of the rebuild. I would say that is the centerpiece.
@@danlopez.3592 yeah, rebuild is needed, I agree, not with this GM though, he’s the common denominator in our decades long inferiority, I’ve been a fanatic for this franchise since the 70’s and to see subpar lackluster management that apparently is only good at generating mega hype, why keep supporting a bad product, the past couple years i starting following other teams that have some excitement going on and it’s been enjoyable lol
I’ve been a Dolphins fan for 39 years. I have watched this team/organization go through so many changes and it’s been exhausting to watch. I don’t understand how a professional football team/organization can have 20 something years of dysfunction and still not get things right. They haven’t learned from their mistakes. I became a Dolphins fan because my father was. I remember watching Dan Marino on the TV and seeing how good the Dolphins were back then. Today, the Dolphins are just not a good football team. Massive changes need to be made. Those changes should start with Chris Grier being fired. He’s been with the organization for way too long and has managed to survive multiple head coaches being fired. He doesn’t know how to draft. He has failed time and time again to address the offensive line. It is time to bring in someone new who knows what they are doing. Someone who can draft and build this team the correct way. Chris Grier has failed to do that
I hate to harp on the past, but the decision to pay everyone before the year started with the way last year ended has now set this franchise back at least 3 years, and possibly longer if they don't work on fixing it immediately. Ross can eat McDaniel's contract. Sorry, but it's his mistake, and It doesn't hurt the cap. I really think changes need to be made for us to see any type of light at the end of the tunnel. Grier should go immediately. Promote or bring in an interim GM to get us as many picks as we can by trading Tyreek, Holland, Mostert, Ramsey, and even Waddle or Philips if the price is right. If we wait, we lose them for nothing. Mike can finish the year if they want, cause our record isn't important, but we need an accomplished coach with a proven record. Give him the time necessary to build the roster thru the draft, and try to structure most of our major cap hits the next 2 years. I just don't see a path to fixing this team without gutting the roster. We need young, cheap, and coachable players who are hungry to build around. I'm not blaming anyone anymore, it just isn't, and hasn't worked out. At the end of the day, it's only money and time, but the longer they wait, the worse it's going to get, and the longer it's going to take to get this roster competitive again. There's just nothing to look forward to right now. Even if Tua comes back, this team is not going on a run on the road most of the back half of the year. If he wants to play, and put something on tape for himself, I'm good with that, but him returning should not play into any of the organization's plans moving forward. That's why it's important to get rid of Grier now. He has something to lose, and he'll be motivated to by that in his decision making. It's been fun, but we haven't really been close to winning a championship, and with all the resources we've spent, at what point do you just admit your mistakes, and take your losses. It has to be done. I doubt that's what will happen, but I guess as long as they're selling tickets, who cares, right?
I could not agree more. Well said. Dolphin fans need to do no shows at all home games. Ross is an entertainer...empty seats in the stands will heat up other seats in the organization. If people keep showing up to watch the "bad news phins" then nothing changes.
Is it me or has McDaniel seemed to be under the influence of some kind of substance during the past two games? You never see him talking or coaching. Just shakes his head and blinks the wettest and most bloodshot looking eyes one can possibly have.
no, Im not seeing that at all. The TV crew does tend to focus more shots of the coach when their team is imploding so there are a lot more views of him than we normally see the last few years.
Phin Fans , according to the Gridiron MD the Miami Dolphins rebuild led By CHRIS GRIER since 2020, paints a troubling picture out of 33 draft picks 45 % are no longer on the Team 36 % have been relegated to backup roles only 18 % became starters and a mere 3 % reached the pro bowl (1)
This is so bad the owner needs to walk in the building 7:00 sharp fire Mike McDaniels and Greer both of them out the door that's how serious this really is we don't have time to bullshit with this it's shameful the owner is a very nice billionaire but he's very gullible it's time for him to put his foot down man bring the X Tennessee Titans football coach to replace him never bought into the hype of Mike McDaniels
Fire GM Chris Grier. Fire HC Mike McDaniel hire a completley different team of health professionals (we are injury prone every year). We need a clean slate. We have now plummeted to the bottom of the barrel. We are a paper bag team.
You hit the nail on the head, "the defense didn't respect Huntley's arm". Then he has no business being the QB on a team with 2 deadly downfield threats. I get it - salary cap considerations, but the season IS NOT over. Surely they can make a trade for semi-competent QB. Why the hell hasn't this happened? It's the inaction that's killing me!
So Dan Campbell and Detroit have completely turned their team around and taken on a tougher identity The audacity of Grier saying that they know more about the offensive line to justify his position is an embarrassment
Every year I don't understand some people, wake up! They say get rid of this player get rid of that player. It starts with Chris Greer, he's the one that must go!
Tennessee was 0-3 coming into the game. I knew they were going to be desperate. I get so tired of Dolphin fans and media always saying oh, they’re playing this team that is winless. That’s a bad sign for this team This week - everyone thinks the Dolphins should beat New England. Not so fast. NOTHING ever works out for this team. As soon as the new coach gets some shine and it looks good the bottom falls out and now he’s on his way out. Why can’t the Dolphins get lucky with a coach - just once? One time! Why? Why can’t they catch ONE FUCKIN BREAK! I don’t know. I’ve been a fan for 50 years and it’s just not worth it. I give up.
The dolphins are a mess and largely due to Chris Greer. I will also say this, I'm exhausted with all the inflated hype around Tua, he has never been a very good quarterback, a system quarterback who throws pics. Yes, let's not forget 3 weeks ago he came out and threw three interceptions by halftime, and we act like he was the answer. Tua, was just average. So, if we're going to fix this team it needs to start with a new quarterback and some line protection.
Said like a true frigging casual. 😂Tonight shows that this team has at least three issues that a qb can't fix. But casuals don't understand the game so they default to silly ass takes that you'd get from a B/R comment section. 😂
If Tua is a system qb then why hasn’t the back up qbs been able to run it? These past two games actually showed Tua is the system and masks a lot of deficiencies of the oline with his quick processing and anticipation. The real reason to move off Tua is due to his injury concerns which I totally agree with.
Favorite Dolphins content. Keep up the good work. A shiny spot on an otherwise down spiraling season. I still feel like there’s a lot of overreaction out there. Peeps need to chill with the fire everyone crap. Coaching turnover is seldom ever a good thing. We have a good young coach that certainly has a lot more to learn. We all knew that if Tua went down we would go in the tank. Should we have had a better backup option? Could we have done more with the OL? Absolutely.. The going for it at midfield is making me crazy. If you’re firing on all cylinders then sure. As it stands now? Punt! No team has it all. Bill didn’t look like a HOF coach after Brady left 🤷🏻♂️ Same applies to most head coach’s that lose a top 15 QB. There are not enough Joe Flaco’s or Andy Daltons to go around. Comparing an experienced vet coming in vs late round guys with barely a handful of starts? Fire Grier? This is the best team overall Miami has put together in years. There’s as much luck as skill involved in assembling a team.
Kyle: I'm a 60 year old fan; I go way back to the early 70's when I was a kid during the glory era - I simply don't know if I can take much of this. Can anyone see us competing with the Mahomes, Josh Allen, even Harbaugh-Herbert teams in the next 5-10 years? This gut-wrenching is too much... just too much to put up with for all these years (decades?)
Are u trying to protect Mike McDaniel. You never go in hard on him. HES THE REAL PROBLEM! HE sucks!!! He needs to be fired. He's not a good head coach. He does not know how to call a football game
Fire Mike, Fire Chris, Trade Waddle or Hill, trade Jevon Holland......we cannot spend that much money on 2 WRs who consistently drop passes. We cannot afford Holland and need to get compensation instead of Tagging him or losing him for nothing
Horrible play calling. The entire offense gave up, due to crappy play calling. This is going to be 2007 all over again with only 1 win. I'm still a ride or die fins fan. We're gluttons for punishment.
Dolphins need to trade Hill and start building the O-line. You can't put any of this bad play on Snoop, literally had two weeks to learn this offense. This is ALL on McDumbass! His love for the screen play is concerning. I can see if it was an effective play but it's FAILED over and over and over and over. How do you go from a playoff contender to the worst team in less than 9 months?
Who's responsible for this mess. It starts with the clueless owner Stephen Ross. Always looking to sign the next shiny object. Overpaying these skill players & instead has to unload Christian Wilkins, AVG and Robert Hunt , all home grown talent & replacing these players with either free agents or backup players. I knew this team wouldn't be as good as last year after the off season moves they made last year. This team needs a complete overhaul. Ross needs to fire both Grier & McDaniels and find a quality GM through some consultant who knows the game & let the GM pick the coach. At that point Ross needs to step completely out of the way & STAY OUT of the football operations & let those two guys try to build this team the right way.
The fact is that even against Jacksonville the offense struggled and we would easily be 0 - 4 right now. Tua played three quarters against Buffalo and the offense could not do anything. The NFL has figured out McDaniel by now.
Just think of the brilliance that went into giving one man a 167 million dollars guaranteed for 2 games who has been injured from his days of college to being concussed many times in the NFL. Does anyone think he'll give any money back when he quits before end of year? He will not play behind an O line that got their 2nd string knocked out of the game. Miami I loved you in the Orange Bowl but you are a pathetic clown shown in a league that becomes more dismal with every year. Honestly I'd rather watch NWA wrestling from the late 1970s through early 90s.
Dolphins should clean house. Like literally. They’re not winning anything with this team. They missed their window last year. Signing the same team again doesn’t mean better results. Especially when you don’t fix the problems that were obvious.
I did not think we were going to win. I just asked for exciting, fun to watch football. But after the first quarter was over I had just one thought.... When is the Seahawk/Lions game starting? Lord have mercy.
I wonder if Grier is still laughing at us for being concerned about the IOL and the backup QB situation? Grier has to go! I would’ve fired him last night and mailed his belongings to him. He has ruined this franchise’s latest rebuild. As far as the players are concerned someone needs to get cut today. The stupid penalties and total lack of discipline is absolutely unacceptable.
Sadly, as long as sucker fans keep showing up, Ross is happy. No one will be held accountable but excuses will be plentiful. PS: ditch the east west passing.. Remind McD that sidelines are not end zones.
I’m sick of the players coach. This team needs a strict disciplinarian because it’s just a matter of weeks before McDaniel loses the locker room. It sucks because the Chargers ended up with the best QB and HC.
It’s time for Dolphins to invest a starting quality back up QB, pay the money for that insurance. Tua gets hurt and season falls apart because of bad QB play.
Jets fan here (yes, we have our own problems) why Miami didn't focus on signing a high quality back up to Tua the past two off seasons knowing how fragile he is, is astounding.
But we had a number 1 offense last year and tua had the most passing yards in the league! Thats what they keep telling me and why they needed to give out this ridiculous contracts! How come it isnt working!?!?!
Trying to go for it , instead of punting is a serious flaw. Also we can't try to try and establish a run game,we have to mix it up and lean toward passing. I knew we were cooked when Will Levis went out because the other QB is much better.
Im reading these comments from dolphin fans who want to jump on the hampster wheel. Thats right fire another coach in his third year. Wevwill hire another coach and in 3 years will fire him. Keep on riding the hampster wheel. No continuity. We have had 11 coaches since 1995. Fans will never learn.
Mike cannot adjust on the fly ,, using the strengths of your players to your advantage Mike has no clue how to adjust ,, to many shifts and takes way to long for a play to develop ,, Mike is doing to much / confusing them . let the players play
Time to fire McDaniel and Grier, and time to reset the losing culture. McDaniel is not a good head coach. He is at best an OC. I think the fact that everything centers around Tua running the offence and when he cannot play, your system sucks and won't work. Time to reset and do a do over. Call it a season. McDaniel refuses to change and modify things. So get rid of him and Grier and then trade the players you can move so you can reset and move forward.
I really like what I saw in Tyler Huntley. From now on we just have to lean on the pass game and Huntley can run if no one is open and sprinkle in the run game. He is looking great. But the Dolphins can't try to establish a run game, that is absurd, especially with our receivers. We are not really built to try to establish a run game but we do need a mixed attack and lean toward the pass game. Huntley is a lot like Lamar Jackson in that he creates a running threat. I'm pumped I think we can win the Superbowl with Tyler Huntley. He should be able to take over Tuas job and regulate him to the bench.
No accountability with a bad owner and GM with some strange ideas. I mostly gave up last year when they pretended they had an O line and invested in bad players. I won’t live long enough to see them win it. Waiting 50 years ⏰ Time for basketball 🏀 season.
McDaniel proving he’s in over his head. He’s not who we thought he was and he doesn’t know anything about running an offense outside of the what he probably copied from Shanahan and Kubiak in years past.
Certainly off McDaniel since he’s arrived it’s been pile up on the bad teams run up the score. Run up the stats and pull no-show on the good teams 216 in the last eight cracking 21 points once against Dallas with five field goals, even with Tua the offence has been doing little
