I can understand a desire to have some consistency with the coaching staff and I'm with you there. The problem is that Monty has never been a successful coach unless Chris Paul was playing on the team he coached. He was a terrible coach with the Pistons this past season, the worst coaching I'd ever witnessed as a Piston fan. Monty didn't show me anything to make me believe he could do better if given another season, unless of course Chris Paul is coming to the Pistons.
Keep hearing this, but it's not true. The Suns turnaround was when Monty moved Booker to SG and started Rubio. VP3 replaced Rubio after Monty showed the potential of the Suns with a good defensive pass first PG.
From what I’ve seen from Langdon, posting before I hear your picks. This is how I’d say his big board looks. Sarr, Rissacher, Sheppard, Castle, then some order of Holland, Matas, Dillingham, Knecht
Monty’s gotta go. If he’s not that bad of a coach, the question that follows is why was he that bad this season? I mean the all bench lineups. Playing killian I’ve Ivey, leaving winnable games with challenges and timeouts, immediately throwing Flynn and Fournier into the lineup when they haven’t been useful nba players in years. And all that is on top of the quasi antagonistic comments in post game pressers. At some point it’s not the circumstance it’s the decision making process and his has been flawed since like game 3
@@scottwickett1273 just a educated guess lol , he wasn’t mentioned in the Trajon press release and Trajon his self didn’t even mention Monty so something’s happening behind the scenes
I warned people against calling for Casey to be fired a year ago. We weren't ready for a playoff coach and even if we found a decent development coach we would have to fire him in a couple seasons
I'm a big fan Risacher, but Ivey is a better prospect. Since Cade might not like him a trade is likely. But we probably want a veteran. Or we at least keep pick 5. I could see trading Ivey +5 for pick 2 + either Kuzma or Poole.
This draft is tough cuz there’s so much pressure to get it right after the season we had and all the failiures from an organizational level. Feels like we should just draft for fit from one hand. But also we are in no position to do that with how little the guys we have drafted so far besides cade have proven their are legit nba guys. If it gets to 5 and a guy Topic and Holland are Langdons 4 and 5th best pick then he’s gonna have a tough decision to make on fit vs best avaliable.
Cody Williams should be pick at 5 offers everything Ausar does defensively and actually has a strong offensive game to with it shot 40 from 3 (don’t care about low volume) amazing touch around the rim and actually fits as a plug and play wing
Very few are Ausar on D. Cody is not the athlete or playmaker. He stays in front pretty good. I think Cody has lots of weaknesses but it's hard to ignore how good of a shot maker he is. He knows how to put the ball in the basket with so many releases and awesome touch. I have a hard time seeing him fail, but he's a longer term development guy imo.
@@gcburns4right nobody has Ausar athletic profile on planet Earth. He's the closest thing I've seen to MJ athletically...maybe not quite the vertical but close.
