These tracks are so gorgeous, yet bittersweet. They are perfect for a fierce battleground , where two lovers have been separated amidst the chaos, and as they both defeat enemies they try in vain to find each other, almost doing so multiple times, yet the carnage rips them apart again at the last second. Then, as the fighting dissipates and their side has won, they finally embrace. Only one of them has been fatally injured, and they have what they believe is their last moments together, before by some miracle the ruler of their people, the only one who has the power to heal such a wound, comes across them both and saves the one who is dying. And “When the Earth Moves” is my particular favorite! It’s absolutely sublimely beautiful! So perfect for when the two lovers can finally be free to pursue the life together they have been waiting for! What an amazing job, Dwayne and Clara!

Part 2 "Blast it all, I can't even see my own nose." The major's complaints was something Kaelis would never get used to. What was there to complain about? Sure, it was cold, but not as cold as it could be on other worlds. Add to that the fact that his squad was covering the retreat for Yagna's brigade, and he really could not see why the major wanted to complain. Casualties had been minimal so far, after all. "Where is that fallback point even at? It's way too far back if we haven't reached it yet." It only made Kaelis roll his eyes, which in turn made him glad he had put his helmet back on. He wasn't quite sure if an annoyed face fit the image these soldiers had of the Astartes, but he wasn't willing to find out and ruin his brothers' hard work. "Your men can rejoin the lines in another ten to fifteen standard minutes." "My men? You're not joining the lines?" "We still have work to do. We'll buy enough time for you to dig in, before moving on to the next group that needs help." "Shame, we could use some Asartes on the lines." Kaelis shook his head. "We can do more good by responding to threats, rather than remaining stationary. Someone has to move around and plug up the gaps created." "I was talking about morale. Lotta soldiers would hold up better if we knew where to find you." "We can simply assign a new commissar for the same effect." Once Yagna's brigade started digging in, they were accompanied by the constant sounds of distant fighting. The Astartes' weapons were loud enough to hear through the blizzards, and sometimes there was the sound of an inhuman shriek, as the Astartes clearly killed something that had no place being on this world, or even in this universe. She heard the whispers making their way among her soldiers. "Daemons." "God-Emperor save us..." There wasn't much she could do about it. Her men were right to fear the creatures, they were hard to kill and dangerous. Getting killed by one was a certain way to damnation. "If you've time to gawk, you've time to dig. Best protection you got against the fiends is a hole in the ground with a prepared position, so dig." Kaelis and his brothers reacted altogether differently when they saw the daemons approach from the blizzard. It meant they would finally have a decent battle on their hands. "Come then. Show me what passes for fury amongst your misbegotten kind!" There were two types of daemon, each providing a different problem, though the solution to both was the same. The palid skinned plaguebearers, each shuffling along like a reanimated corpse, bloated with disease. They were resilient enough to require several well aimed stormbolter shots to put down, though the powerfists and Kaelis' powersword did the trick more readily. The other ones were the red skinned bloodletters, the sword wielding footsoldiers of the Bloodgod. Their ferocity was greater than even Kaelis' brothers, though the Astartes more than compensated for that with their coordination, superior armour and gene-forged might. Still, not all of his brothers survived the onslaught of the daemons bearing down on them. Their heavy Terminator plate slowed the Astartes down enough for the daemons to find gaps in the armour to exploit. Kaelis' own sword and stormbolter moved more often to cover his brothers than to strike at his own adversaries. Luckily, his brothers did the same for him. By the end, two of their own had fallen, and three more were wounded in some capacity. Yet they remained standing, as defiant as the Rainfall Bastion itself. Though for how long they could not say. "Gather our dead, we rejoin our Lord-Captain at the first given opportunity." At their sergeant's orders, the squad moved like a well oiled machine. There was no time to mourn their losses yet. They would do so later. Sorry it's a short one today, I've been very busy
I don't know why, but it awlays sounds better when you put all these songs together for us, rather than I manually shuffle them, even though the result is practically the same. Its really great.
💖 Love this music and her voice is So Beautific. The artwork and the expression in her eyes and face and arms is beautifull perfection for this piece. The voices, effects and instruments are so well done - absolutely Epic worrhy. The violins are so beautiful - at times angels' wings in flight - at times soul-wrenching and when coupled with the horns and other instruments and effects ... just beautiful. Seems to depict Sorrowful Innocence who has lost her loved one to the unknown (possibly death or unknown if he will ever return again ... ever...). Sorrowful Innocence ... in a state of ... Hopeful but Sorrowful Innocent Realization ... 😥 💧 So sad - Made me cry. Bravo 🌺 ⚘

"I won't let them forget us when I'm gone." she let it fly and it went out the window into the night. A thick bundle of pages dangling from his leg. "I'm sorry we failed." "that is all right. " she sat on the floor. Her head bowed to the young Paladin. " You bought just enough time. Thank you. I made sure you all will be remembered. You're help and bravery will not be forgotten. Just do one more favor..." she lifted her head. Eyes sparkling in silver light. "Make it quick. And as painless as you can."
