For everyone commenting about Kurama: Yes, I did forget about Kurama's dominant recent record against Shuton. HOWEVER, Kurama lost in pools Last night. Got upset by a Luigi main named Fendeavor. So the set won't be happening anyways. Kurama is now seeded to fight Hero (who also got upset by a Palutena main named Ako in pools) for 97th. Oops.

I honestly think Leo has a better chance of beating Shuton than Kurama. A lot of people bring up the Leo v Shuton statistic, but people fail to mention that he's never gone Joker or even Aegis, both which are the only characters he's beaten Dabuz's Olimar with. He's only used Byleth, Marth, and Wolf against Shuton. Leo destroyed Shuton during a crew battle using Joker too. I wouldn't be too sure about betting against Leo here.
Shuton says leos problem is not a character but leo don't know how to fight olimar(I know leo already beat other olimar but shuton olimar is just different level
@@おかし-y7h Doesn't sound like something Shuton would say tbh. He's only played Leo two or three times. And only once in the past 4 years. Also, Dabuz was the better Olimar for a while. He definitely knows how to play against Olimar. I'm sure Leo needs to play better too, but using Joker would surely help as well.
One thing i want to say as resident Zackray defender, keep in mind that he lost to Ken and Miya, but had a pretty clear shot at top 8 in any other circumstance
Yeah, the way he worded the part with Mkleo vs Miya was a little weird. He basically implied that Leo would opt for the Rob pick against Miya GnW even though he still has his Joker
Byleth destroys Game and Watch, it’s a -2 matchup for him. However, Joker is nowhere near as bad as for Game and Watch, it might be even or +1 for game and watch (that’s probably bias coming out, there’s no Jokers at my locals). Leo is better than Maister so he beats him, but MiYa most likely still beats Leo.
Not to mention he also lost to skinny the pooh at pp8, he and Mkleo just have a general Mario problem. I can see Kurama beating Shuton and giving Leo a hard time
I would like to point out that gluto knows the kazuya and olimar mu's EXTREMELY well, so much so that tea and dabuz respectively gave up on using those char against him so I dont see anything weird with him winning either of those matchs
I think people are really sleeping on shadic, yes he probably looses to yaura couse of the matchup, but his loosers is pretty doable for him, the only one i think can give him problems would be shuton in the round before top 8
As long as Leo doesn’t win the whole tournament I’m happy. It’s boring seeing the same champ all the time, we need new blood to be on top. Also he got upset by some random Ken so it’s looking good for everyone
You forgot to mention that gluto never won against shuton, even if he wins against dabuz's olimar. The odds are very much in favor for him to send gluto in losers

8:00 actually, Shuton has a really good chance of losing to Kurama. Despite them not playing in over a year Kurama has beaten Shuton both at Crown II and LSI, so if he's playing good Kurama could beat shuton... which, honestly might not be any better for Leo
