I feel like Maul gets underestimated due to his lack of control and arrogance in fights, but his unpredictability is also a weapon. Would have loved to have seen him versus Luke in sequels!

Wow someone with a brain. I'm literally so happy about this. Maul would obviously win this matchup. Prime Maul is just on another level than Prime Luke at this point. Luke is very impressive considering the time he grew up in but still that's the problem he was trained at a very late age, he has very few fights and his one big win like you said was super circumstancshal. Yes Maul always underestimates his opponents but that's because he's that good. I mean he literally made Sidious of all people feel threatened and Maul wanted to take on Sidious and Vader.

@AD_HD I understand you think Mauls experience would overcome Luke's power but I don't. I'm not sure if Maul has learnt to use force lightning which is probably the only power I'd see Luke struggling to defend against as I don't think Yoda taught Luke force absorb, it would still be a close fight in this category

I'm a huge Maul fan he's my favorite star wars character. I wish he could've been the sequel villain!!! But I have some bias here because I like him so much. But I think a lot of people underestimate Maul's power and how well of a fighter he is. I'll leave it with that.

I think with both luke and maul at their primes the fight would be extremely close but overall i’d have to give the edge to luke

Yeah, I agree! This wasn’t Luke at his prime because we don’t really know enough about what he looks like in his prime! I doubt he’ll be as powerful as he was in Legends, but I still think he theoretically would beat Maul

Hellz Yes Zack Dew more of these 🙏 Man tough call Return of the Jedi Luke vs Maul Clone War's, Luke is the son of the Chosen One ⚡ So power is on he's side so unless He's dad Anakin or Obi or Yoda or Qui Gon or any Force ghost trained him It hurts to say it I love Both but Maul would win that like I said unless Luke had Lessons ⚡ Maul was raised by Darth Sidious and given recintion by Dart Plaugies as a Duelest he was Trained to be a Assassin but other the year's like Sam Witwer has said he would have picked up some tactical notes from he's former Master he may let he's head get to him but he has the knowledge, Long story short Agreed 👍

I disagree, ROTJ Luke was strong enough to defeat Vader, heck, I think he was strong enough to at least give Palpatine a fight, remember Yoda and Obi-Wan wanted him to kill both Sith, they thought he was the chosen one, they wouldn’t have send Luke into a mission he would miserably fail, both Yoda and Vader, two of the most powerful force users acclaimed Luke’s strength. I think ROTJ Luke would be enough to defeat Maul

Time period dictates everything Luke is hard to know because he fights an opponent not trying to kill him and some fancy droids but to be honest there are things mauls done I’m not sure if he could do so maul

Yeah, you’re right. It is so hard to gauge Luke’s skills and abilities, while Maul has a ton of examples to draw from

I agree mostly, but I'd say Luke wins force powers they both use the same/similar powers(push pull crush etc)but Luke has far greater power than Maul and as your said it's not mauls main focus of expertise. Maul I think wins strategy he knew to separate Jinn and Kenobi in TPM and overcame Vizsla's varity of weapon types.

I see what you’re saying. But think Luke has far greater *potential* with the force, but I think Maul has more knowledge and ability compared to Mandalorian Luke. I kind of look at this as Dooku vs. Anakin in AOTC. Maul is better *right now* but it wouldn’t take Luke long to surpass him due to his vast potential!

I think Maul definitely has a leg up in terms of dueling like u said. But while taking down the hyperdrive is more impressive then anything we've seen Luke do in cannon, him being a Skywalker for me anyways means he should at least be on par in terms of the force. I do think Maul winning is a good take tho, but I think it's more like 2-2 or 2-3 either giving Luke the point for the force or both a point.

It be a battle for the ages for sure. An awesome way they could showcase Luke's power level in canon is if the Filoni Clone Wars team made a show about him post ROTJ after they're done with Bad Batch S2 of course.

I believe most knoledge of the force died with vade/palpatine. Luke has a lot of potential but without the knowledge around, he's got whon't be as powerfull as most prequal era characters.

Feel like you'll make some people unhappy with this one 😂 I absolutely love Maul and I think I agree with you about all your points and who wins each round, however I think Mauls arrogance in combat would ultimately lead to his loss regardless of how much more skilled/powerful he is.
