Well I, for one, would be one of the Lannisters. One of the Lannister cousins. One of the drooling, embarrassing ones locked up in the deepest parts of Casterly Rock.
I got it and specifically looked in the comments to see if anyone else caught it. I only got it because I watch a lot of British shows I started watching while in London for a semester on RU-vid. I really never really watch Countdown though, I just know it because of when 8 out of 10 cats plays it.
This is so accurate though. Like everyone's like 'I'm just like Tyrion' and when I say I'm like Sansa there like ew why. Ummmm maybe cause I'm a foolish teenage female???
+Dondergod Name one time she manipulated anything to her advantage. She doesn't play shit. She literally only ever does exactly is as asked of her, whether it's by a manipulative figure like Littlefinger, or a batshit queen like Cersei.
+Dastardly Distaste She's survived among the Lannisters and Joffrey while her family was named traitors. And later on you can see some skill in manipulation when in the show she lied covering Littlefinger and in the books when she disguised who she is to tons of people and learned to handle Robyn (Robert) perfectly. She's not a pro by any means, but sh'es learning quite well. She's been around some of the best players there are.
Olly Joffrey wouldn't care about the name if she angered him and there was a period when they put her aside for Margeary, and her name didn't matter as much. Plus her name wouldn't save her if she had shown any signs of being rebellious (she'd be seen as atraitor same as her family). And you know how easy it would be to anger Joffrey or show resistance to people who killed your father (and other family).
I honestly cared less about Danny than I did about Dansa in the first seasons, cause Danny always felt too powerful and had main character plot armor, but Sansa felt expendable and therefor I was always thinking she's die
ZuBeRCraZyBassY We only let the people that are rubbish or we have had enough of, to cross over the pond. DEAL WITH IT! Any more moaning and we ship Katie Hopkins over!
I loved watching Sansa even at the beginning, mostly because she's one of the more realistic characters, and people called her naive and weak, but she's actually in my opinion a much stronger character than she's given credit for. she was being constantly physically and mentally abused so much so that it's a testament to her that she's still sane. But she's also wise enough to accept her predicament for what it was and seemed far more mature that way especially in the books than for example arya who I always found annoying because of how petty she can be thinking she's much tougher than she is and never understanding the gravity of anything.Sansa also in my opinion is one of the more interesting characters as she is aware of the influence she has from the beginning and is truly a player while still being in the category of 'the nice guys.'
Yeah, i would much rather watch Sansa finding a way to get to Joffrey than Danny just being unstoppable with thick plot armor. Sansa felt expendable and real, Danny always felt like a work of fiction being so powerful and lucky at times.
otocan When she says, "It's true. I push people away." I still think that she wasn't acting even though I know she's acting. Like, It just feels so real!
good point I think that ,at least for me, its easier to relate to her because she isn`t always murdering and spouting one liners. But she did have one of my favourite quotes of the show "the truth is either terrible or boring"
I re-watched season 2 recently and I have to say that Sophie Turner gives one of the best performances you can see there. She doesn't have that many scenes as she's still captive in King's Landing and pretty much nothing happens with her, but the scenes she has, she owns completely. I get goosebumps every time I see the Tyrells questioning her. That is some fine acting there.
+the Human tardigrade I identify with her the most honestly; I like her for the same reason I like Beth from The Walking Dead. She's a realistic wimp to start with but she grows. You need a character like that.
As awesome as James Corden is in this, props to the three contestants for genuinely making themselves look like they got ambushed by Corden and trapped into this tragic nightmare of a game show.
Here's how you could claim that you're one of the main characters in a way that James would allow: "I'm Jamie Lannister because I act like i'm a charming and good person, but i'm actually super sleezy and any attemts at redemption are doomed to fail as i fall back into my old habbits" "I'm Tyrion because everyone hates me just because i exist and will try to destroy me meerly because i was born" "I'm Danaerys because all my attempts to do good end in fire and blood, and i'll eventually snap causimg me to burn down everything i ever loved and wanted" "I'm Jon because i break my oaths and eventually hurt the people i love most because i'm too busy trying to prove myself and overcome my sad childhood" "I'm Arya because I have a kill list" There you go, now you can self depricrate yourself just so James won't tell you you're wrong, while also identifying with your favourite characters worst flaws.
I hated the shit outta her but she's been decent this season. Maybe all that horrible shit that happened to her pulled her head out of the clouds. She was kinda like a liberal in that regard. OH SNAP
Cancer. jpg That's not having a "prefence", that is called "ignoring all characters but two of them". If you underappreciate all the complex characters, and only pay attention to the only 2 that look "cool" then you suffer from terminal stupidity. Thank you for the correction, you've broadened the intellect gap between you and me ;)
You'd be a peasant, like 99% of the people. I love Game of Thrones but I'm seriously annoyed that people look back at fantasy and period pieces and fantasize about living in a Medieval society and almost every single one of them sees themselves as some well off noble. People are almost exclusively fascinated by those few people born into a position of power that they used to virulently oppress others. In people's imagination, when noblemen goes to war it's a romantic act of heroism and not the sending of hundreds or thousands of people to death over petty squabbles that it actually was. When they see a king be replaced by the "wrong" person, they applaud when the guy who is arbitrarily designated by rules of legacy as the "rightful king" takes the throne back without stopping to wonder if that's the best ruler for the people or indeed that there may not be such a thing as a "rightful king" and how many died for him to reclaim his privilege.
I want to be a brothel owner from Qarth. Far away from the Others/White Walkers. Far away from the Lannisters and Littlefinger. And far away from Daenerys and her dragons. And I'll get to enjoy sex and even become rich because of it. Win, win situation.
All three were vindicated by time. Sansa grew into a strong intelligent woman and Queen in the North, Jorah redeemed himself and died protecting the woman he loved, and Gilly was the one who discovered the secret truth about Jon Snow's claim to the Iron Throne. In your FACE, James Corden!! (who is still awesome and I love him)
I mean the show butchering her intelligence doesn't help. I mean even though she wasn't the nicest or most enjoyable character in the earlier books, she was still loads smarter then her show counterpart.
Who I'd be: - In King's Landing: The starving guy who throws a cow pie at Joffrey and is promptly killed. - Across the sea: Faceless men assassination target #25. - Beyond the wall: An undead monster, of course.
I kinda want them to bring back this segment when GOT is over. I have a feeling Sansa and Gilly are going to survive. Jorah probably won't, but he'll probably get an awesome death scene.
But I like all three of those characters! What you'd really rather be a child murderer who bang his sister then be Sansa? Sansa is a lot more clever then some people seems to think. And come on, Jorah is a lot more badass then Daario and he only lied to Danny before he actually knew her!
Who gives a crap anyway. Daario is literally only there to fuck with Jorah by fucking with Daenerys... Other then that, he's just on pointless errands and being a hostage...
Am I the only one that likes Sansa? She has some of the greatest lines. Like when Joffrey says he'll bring her Robbs head and she's like maybe he'll bring me yours, she has quite a few of those moments.
Recently Sansa had a scene with her siblings and a certain Littlefinger that I think is one of the most popular and beloved scenes in the show's entire history.
