This message is to all my Habesha brothers out there. You men need to stay strong and marry ONLY Gual Adena/Hagere. I am like most of you who are born and raised in the diaspora however I ended up marrying my wife, who was raised back home. From my experience and from the many experiences of other habesha men raised in the diaspora, we all end of marrying women from back home because at the end of the day we want to protect and love our identity. For the last 5000 years we men have died on untold numbers of battlefield to protect and develop our identity, land, heritage, culture, women, children and parents. Against all odds we have survived intact, without forced mixing from rape, with a beautiful culture, beauty and cuisine to share with the world. That blood of your forefathers who died on the battlefield protecting your identity and giving you the ability to call yourself habesha, is what runs through the blood of you men! That is why you feel the unexplainable need to marry a habesha woman and have habesha kids. None of us can explain why we feel that way as it’s just a strong urge from birth given to us from God and evolution. However, our women are different. Women have never paid the ultimate sacrifice as a whole, giving their life to protect their culture and people. Going to battle to face the onslaught of European, Turkish, Arab bullets against our old fashioned muskets, shields and swords was a sure death sentence, but we still went to our deaths knowing we were dying to protect our legacy. A habesha woman’s blood does not know the ultimate sacrifice hence from a evolutionary prospective they don’t have a drive to protect the identity and heritage they were born with. Outside of your occasion exception, what matters to a habesha woman is, whomever will protect her with money and riches will win her DNA. That is precisely why our women don’t care about marrying habesha men in the diaspora. Men who are willing to spend every dime on them to buy their genes in the hopes of making better looking kids to join their own ethnic group, is what they desire. For example many Nigerian and west African men marry low hanging white women and now habesha diaspora women to “beautify” their children and make them higher status within their own west African culture. (These children are not accepted in habesha society because they don’t look or behave like us). We all know the man gives the children their identity so if you google Nigerian babies, all you see are mixed race Nigerian babies and not babies from two Nigerian parents. This video is a bit disingenuous in that you guys shouldn’t be asking half habesha children what they want and having them speaking for habesha diaspora youth. Someone named LaToya likely has already preconceived notions about habesha men and seeks to find the inferiority in habesha culture and people. The guy who is half is just a loser. For him to say crap like that is embarrassing. You will never find a pure habesha male say his culture is inferior to another’s and I have met half habesha kids who are well acculturated and would also never utter such trash. The bottom line is this men. Don’t let these be your kids. It really defeats the purpose of having kids. As one with my first newborn you can’t imagine the joy I get looking at this little baby who looks just like me, who will eat the injera I work hard to provide, worship my twehado or Muslim religion and grow up loving my cultural music. But it has become my opinion that this can only happen as a result of marrying a habesha woman from back home who loves who she is and wants to protect some semblance of her identity. A habesha man is incompatible with a diaspora habesha woman/beles. I would urge you not to even try. You must marry a woman from back home who is strong, educated and beautiful. The reality is that a woman trying to be on Instagram twerking or showing her booty is not going to help you raise habesha kids. Women from back home are coming here and making 80k -140k a year working as nurses, engineers, doctors, respiratory therapist, etc. After 5 years in America??? While the chick raised here is stuck at her parents house at 28 because she is unemployable, has no money, no tangible skill sets, got 100k in student loans from studying Greek mythology in college, doesn’t speak her native language, can’t cook much less make injera and complains about the uselessness of a habesha man 24/7. You want to marry this?!?! Nooooooooo.... listen to your older brothers and understand the gold to be found in this mountains back home. To build strong children in the diaspora you need a strong woman who has fought against all odds to make it. Now imagine having a combined income of 200k plus to live your beautiful habesha life.
