Different translations exist due to the fact Arabic is a more complex and complete language then English. Some words and sayings just do not exist in English but do in Arabic. So you can imagine how difficult this makes translating. So each translation has its own interpretation BUT, the meaning in Arabic is completely preserved. Also on that logic, then the bible is also altered because it has been translated in so many languages and English isn’t even the original language of the bible.

The words of men over 1500 years doesn't trump one man's revelation of God's direct word (which it had to be since he couldn't read or write, lol). Besides, the information they wrote about was not the same but quite contradictory, the origins of their writings are unknown and mysterious; no one knows who most of the writers are and that is for the Torah and the Gospels and then there are the writings of the like of Paul who was considered untrustworthy. The Bible doesn't even accurately reflect what mainstream Christian was before the third century and during the time of Jesus. It has many parts proven false, fabrications that were expunged, parts still in it considered mistakes and un-historic. None of that is true of the Quran. Not a single thing has been disproven about it. One is clearly written by men and one is clearly from God. Who goes with men instead of God?

It's way more precise than that which is why Islamic sources are so well preserved. That "guy" had to be known by name (full name), he had to be known and testified to being truthful, reliable in narrating, righteous, etc or the narration is not accepted. Oral tradition is much strong than the written word. I am not sure this level of preservation exists in any other period or any other area of history - certainly it does not for any other Abrahamic religion. It's a detailed, precise science.

The hadiths are a mess in themselves. This is why there is so much confusion about what the verses in the quran means. Some Muslims lean towards specific hadiths while others consider them false. There is no consensus among Muslims about this. Take for instance, the verses about Mutah marriage, some say it's abrogated by the hadith and some say that no hadith can abrogate the quran therefore mutah is valid. The very fact that the quran needs the hadiths to make sense of it goes to show that Muslims just made up interpretations as they went along.

This is false. Some choose to follow weak inauthentic hadith because they want to follow their desires like with mutah marriage which was allowed during a specific time with wisdom and later abrogated as it wasn't anymore. There is no confusion about what verses mean to people with knowledge. Your sentence about abrogation also doesn't make sense. Also "some say" is not valid. People say a lot of things. Some say must be from Allah said, his prophet said, one of the companions said; those are the sources of Islam. What "some say" after that has to agree with that or it is not valid. Some say a lot of things are permissible that are NOT in the Quran and hadith. Some say women can wear pants. Some say you can deal with interest because there's no way around it. Some people say a lot of things, usually because it's something THEY want to do, they are weak or they want to appeal to the people (this is similar to the Christian adoption of pagan practices and Paul abolishing the law after Jesus said he came to uphold it). What "some say" does not matter; that is not Islam. That is THEM. Islam is clear. The consensus about hadith also doesn't make sense based on how hadith are classified as weak or not since you can't DECIDE for yourself the basis for which it is strong or weak. @nunya54 I understand that a lot of Muslims think that Islam is somehow defined by the quran which is completely untrue. It is the hadiths that play a pivotal role in everything from prayers to ablutions to rules regarding slavery. Scrutinising the hadiths is extremely important irrespective of what modern Muslims consider to be weak or strong. Most of the hadiths are not factually true. Early Islamic scholars such as Wasil b Ata in the 8th century held that a Hadith must have 4 independent transmitters which was most often not the case. Ibrahim an-Nazzam also of the 8th century, said that the accounts in most of the hadiths were faulty either due to poor human memory or bias or both. Given that the hadiths and sunnah were compiled in the third century of Islam mostly due to the insistence of Al Shafi who founded one of the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, studying the veracity of the content of the hadiths is lacking. What is or what is not Islam is largely defined by the hadiths and the same goes for the quran. The whole concept of hadith science and marking them as weak or strong stems from an evaluation of the transmission and not the integrity of the content. Therein lies the problem. Thats why some sects of Islam still hold to the Quranic revelations as being supreme and hence continue to practice their faith in line with the Quran and not the hadiths which they contend are not trustworthy accounts.

Those are not abominations. There is no child marriage in Islam, there is no rape of anyone, there is no pimping of anyone. Muta and any other form of marriage are not allowed in Islam and that verse is not about beating your wife like you think.
