Wow I love all those nominated worship songs, they're all really anointed!!! I think God blesses every worship song made to honour Him, and whether they were nominated or win anything doesn't matter, because that's not why they were written. The reward is knowing that God created something through you and that you've blessed someone else with His creation :)

Hillsong are blessed with such a beautiful gift to be a great team and talented. I love you guys, God is using you so much in amazing way.

The one and only winners are: The father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. That preached to me, saved me, and make me preach, go to church, sing to God. Thank you Jesus that you have made me understand this mistery.

Performance or worship? In my opinion, I don't see the importance of receiving awards for a song.. God is the one who inspired us to do it, we can't take not a bit of glory, give God ALL THE GLORY. All love, all peace

I don't know but honestly i'm just a little confusing about these award thing for the christian songs because i believe that every Gospel/Christian songs are always great if they speaks about Jesus.

Noticed that none of them gave God the glory. Whom are they singing those songs? Is it to pull crazy crowds? Win awards like these? If you are not rooted in Christ Jesus, your songs are hopeless, meaningless & worthless. The so called church these days have become too glamorous, the dumping ground of the devil. God's children must never get carried away with these lot. The Bible says, many are called but few are chosen. Also, "Not every one that says unto me Lord Lord will enter heaven, but he/she who does the will of the Father in heaven". Strangely here the prince of this world is happily shaking his legs, as long as there is no mention of the risen Lord Jesus Christ, Yashuah Massiha. God's children, I warn you stay away. Church, be found in Christ Jesus your saviour & Lord. Give Him all the glory.

I don’t think they worship the RIGHT JESUS. No honor, thank you, praise, or glory to God at all, but honor the lead singer. That’s wrong! That’s why I don’t listen to contemporary Christian music but old hymns. Check our family radio kebr. They broadcast the right Jesus with songs that honor and praise Him.

Come on guys, it’s just a marketing platform to get Christian music out there. Someone may be flipping channels, catch a Great performance and their destiny changes. Don’t put the Holy Spirit in a judgmental box.

I really don’t like these award shows. All worship songs that are biblically accurate are awesome. We aren’t singing for awards. We sing to honor and glorify God. We are being just like the world by having award shows. Wake up church. We are doing it for Him! Not for ourselves!

Reuben Morgan is undoubtedly one of the greatest worship leader and singer- song writer of our generation. All glory to God. More power to Hillsong Church.

No one thanked God Almighty?! The very One who gave them breath and life and the talents. I am hearing a few mentions of “breaking barriers” and keeping to what is “uniting” and not dividing us...... well God’s Word can do both. And He will one day separate the sheep’s from the goats. Sin divides or separates us from fellowship with God. What barriers are they so proud of breaking?? While unity is good what are they accepting to have that? I get this underlying feeling they are secularizing Christian music and the beliefs of the Christ following walk.

Smh to the comments section. We can't even honor the talents that God gave these beautiful people? God is an extravagant God. The 'world' has all those other award shows and we give them awards because we appreciate the hard work they do. Those awards are hard work. And were okay with it. But with God's children we cant give them that applause?Why? He cant show the world that He got the most talented people in the world? cant He tell the world, He was the person behind these songs? That He himself birthed these songs? God too is an artist. He created the universe. And He deserves all the praise. He loves our praises tho He never needs it. His children put in a lot of effort, prayer, and hardwork to what they do. For all we know these people don't even care if they win the award because they know in their heart Jesus is their greatest reward. Please. This is one way of honoring our artist. Let's not put this in our religious boxes.

These awards are sickening. Imagine as a pastor said: "The nominees are: Moses with The song of apocalypse, Anne with the song when he got pregnant, David with psalm 91, Job's prayer. And the winner is... David with Psalm 91!!". These "Christians" don't understand anything. The Glory is for Jesus not for you. You can put it in the way you want, you have no excuses. The Glory is for Jesus. Give yourselves the glory in this sick world. Sickening.

This is terrible. People run from christan radio music. They talked about unification more thank giving glory to God. This "worship" music is not worship. Life honoring and obeying God's word is. Worship is going in ur closet and repenting and conforming to the image of the Son of God, Jesus. This kind of music is a feel good, thin paper religiousness and turning away the small remnant of true believers from being able to rightly divid the Word and to examine according to sound doctrine. It's more of unifing with the world and other religions, it's an ecumenical tool. Repent and turn to the Jesus of the Scripture!

Honestly, I understand awards for contemporary Christian music, like for radio, but songs intended for worship Jesus Christ should not be pitted against each other in a competition...makes me think of when two disciples wanted to know who would be greatest in His kingdom...they were rebuked. Not to mention the fact that the song that won is not a worship song....it is all about US. I mean, nothing like singing to yourself with hands raised in surrender to yourself. Unbelievable. Lord, have mercy on us. May we return to you with hearts that worship in Spirit AND truth.

So now people sing for award? Well, they already got their reward here on earth. No more reward in heaven. Worship song is supposed to be solely for God. Nowadays, people only want praise. Will you be able to sing from behind the curtain without coming in front of the audience? Do you even write songs from your heart? Do you even mean whatever you say in the lyrics? Why don't you sing from the Bible? So now is it going to be worship Oscar? No doubt worship leaders, pastors, are falling away. No more "For God" only "Self." May God have mercy.

I thought this program was incredible! It was so encouraging and gave credit to whom it belongs: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This can be a difficult time for so many and it brought my heart, soul, and mind to focus on the one who is the First and Last. Everything that happens is life between.

Reading the comments saying that worship song should not be rewarded, I came to realize that it is true. Because it is like we should also reward the best evangelists, pastors, teachers,... Finally these rewards should not be there, I think at the end of day, some of these artists, even without realizing it, will start to make songs "to be approved" by the public and not the Holy Ghost.I remember listening to one of Brooke interview. And the interviewer ask her if she still doesn't care about the charts, she said 'yes and no' It kind of confused me to see that she changed her motives like that. Lord help us 😩

But it is also a chance for people to show their appreciation to people who came together with them to create something which has helped alot of people draw closer to god. And if you actually listened to the song, the whole song is about how they dont feel worthy to be part of gods family, but that they know despite how they feel, its God they listen too.
