Robby Whiskers needs a good rebuild. You got to drop a Holly Comp in that thing and make whiskers all beautified and stuff. Oh and give it a paint job for the name. Make that thing have whiskers.... lol

I would definitely do a ground up rebuild, if not for just the reliability aspect. You don't want to have to worry about if you're going to break down everytime you need to use Whiskers. Plus, this way you can build Whiskers however you want to with whatever equipment that you think that you may need. Just think of the possibilities of how good of a recovery vehicle she could be with how good she is now. I would paint her in your company colors, but still stay with the Whiskers theme. It would be awesome & unique! JMO! Thanks for the amazing content!
great video - BUT - I see the Boss with her feet on the dash. This is a big NO-NO. If the airbag deploys there is no time to move those feet and your knees will go through your chest and head causing catastrophic injury! Please do not do this and be safe. Love your content.
Tell the BOSS to keep her feet off the dash. As a firefighter EMT for the past 28 years I’ve seen the end results with people who put their feet or legs on the dash. If your airbags go off it’s almost definitely broken legs. Another note, for the people who think it’s cute to let your dog ride on your lap. AIRBAGS KILL DOGS ( PETS). I would Love to watch a series on a rebuild of Whisker’s! Matt’s Off Road Recovery is also wanting to do a rebuild on his snow machine. It would to see you both rebuild together!

Refresh motor and trans, seal it up, add some cosmetic, run some heater hoses to the rear, add a coil and fan motor to put some heat back there. While it is apart but the biggest radiator that you can fit as overheating is always a problem
Complete teardown and rebuild is completely in line. But I still think you should get that hundred-thousand-dollar snow machine and truly keep the boss happy
Whiskers deserves a full makeover I'm thinking grey with Tabby stripes and whiskers And Robby Layton Nation decals on both sides and across the rear But don't forget to include a tail I think whispers also deserves stainless steel exhaust stack with with a bit of a muffler The drivetrain does really deserve a complete rebuild See if you can add Holley sniper EFI Also the cabin needs a complete redo But like I said in the beginning Whiskers deserves it
Whiskers definitely deserves a full restoration!! Gotta keep the Whiskers theme too though. Like a cool Layton Auto blue and silver with a mountain lion painted on the side where the current cartoon cat is. And EFI the engine. 300 I6 can be a beast and last forever.
DEFINITELY EFI the 300-I6. Utilize the later Ford factory EFI exhaust manifold. It supposedly flows as well as a header but without the thermal issues that a header can introduce. And, BTW, with maintenance, that I-6 will take everything you can throw at it and STILL keep going forever.
Hi Robbie: Another great rescue with Whiskers. Whiskers needs a makeover for sure. I think a nice black colour coat with blue and white stripes and Whiskers will look super. A Robby Layton logo on the side would make it pop. Cheers.
The refurb on the cat ought to be an interesting project. I would add a couple of cameras to the back corners. Use your shade of (metallic) Blue with silver accents, maybe....suspension refurb. too late for this season, i would think.
Yes, add a backup camera, a rear facing roof mounted HD camera protector and mount, powerful light bars on the front and back just below the roof line, a shallow, heavy duty (destruction proof) roof rack, a backup alarm, rear brake and tail lights, seatbelts, grab bars and so on.
Heck ya Whiskers needs and, more importantly, deserves a makeover now that he’s found his forever home! It would be great content as theres not alot of snowcat mechanical videos out there! Keep it up, love your spirit and attitude!!
Good to see Dinner making an appearance again. 👍 Congrats to him and his fiancée. And add another Yes vote for the Whiskers makeover. I don't think it's be worth doing the complete Golden Nugget treatment, but upgrading the mechanicals, improving the interior comfort, new paint, and adding some recovery-specific things like winches and more lighting would be a good thing.
Love a good make over. If painting begins, My thoughts are you started with a cat theme and it should end with a cat theme. Can’t wait to see if that takes hold.

Rather be on the lake fishing rather than a stupid game. Games do not put food on table & more enjoyable outdoors over wasting time playing any type of video games. That's the BIGGEST Problem with this Younger Generation as there taught that life is a big game! I hate saying this, but it's the truth. My Youngest Son sure proves it.

Whiskers would look great redone! Put an LS and 4L80E in. The ford straight 300/6 is a pretty hard engine to beat! Could do Holley sniper EFI on the 300 for reliability. That snow cat would look very good restored with interior and good heat in the front and aux heater in the rear for customers and dinner and hillbilly.
We want you to call Rory and put some pressure on him to get his end of the wrecker done so you can be ready for next year's Off-road Wrecker Games. Good to see Dinner on a recovery.

I've noticed on a lot of channels that recover in the snow and sometimes in the sand too, the driver doesn't know where the tires are pointed, so that makes them go side to side or, just plow snow/sand. A fix for this would be to run a piece of tape around the steering wheel at 12 o'clock, when the vehicle is static and wheels are straight. (f it was a full turn out they should know that, at least I think they should. )
The problem is that they get no response to there inputs so they turn more and more. They are wanting to steer around a corner but if the pulling vehicles has enough power it is going to pull them into the corner. The longer the rope the more this happens.
I want to see Whiskers redone. You seem to be busy with it in season, so much better if your rig is trouble free and reliable. Roof rack for extra supplies, boxes inside for more storage 👽

We would LOVE to see you do a full series on repairing, restoring, restomodding, hot rodding (yes, a little more power and torque out of the engine) and giving Whiskers a nice paint job (a cool facelift). I think a huge cartoon big cat with big whiskers on both sides with the name 'Whiskers' would be cool to give your playtoy rescue rig a personality like a character.

Fix the leaking issues on Whiskers and give it a SAMORRI paint job. Rebuild the engine and the rest of the drivetrain to make it reliable. You are going to beat on ot anyway so I would worry about the drivetrain reliability than aesthetics.
Definitely needs to be gone over. That little Ford six is bullet proof but may need to be freshened up. I don't think you need to go with a different engine. Those sixes have lots of low end torque. Should work well for what you are doing.
Full Whiskers make over, please! Improved reliability, solid roof, Robby Layton Nation colour scheme, sound dampening mats (not only for your own comfort, but also for your audience, so we do not have to read subtitles every time you try to say something while Whiskers is running 😉) and they also provide a little thermal insulation, actual whiskers (if legally permitted), convenient storage compartment for rescue / tow equipment. I know Whiskers is "only" a seasonal vehicle for you, so I understand this list might be overkill, I just wanted to share my ideas 😊. Thank you and have a nice day!

I agree that you should give the snow machine a full up lift it’s a good idea to have the beautiful little blonde lady have the leader roll with it. She would make it look as good as she looks ❤❤❤
