They were really good. I remember the v80 and v90 being tuned pretty good but they went down after that.

Finally received my Mahina this morning and after a few A/Bs with the KL , I think the slam is a big difference. The KL is more balanced and has a nice texture to the bass while the Mahina is a subwoofer straight up. love them both and both keepers

Thanks for this review. These looked interesting when I saw them on an unboxing video. Based on your experience I might just hold off on a purchase for a bit until others have a chance to weigh in. If Vivaldi with the TRNs made your ears buzz, you should listen to Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 in D minor. The first movement should be enough. Your videos always get straight to the point and don't contain a lot of the fluff that other reviewers use to needlessly extend their length. Keep up the great work.

damn haven't bought anything from them since the BA5 and I didn't enjoy those. everything after that was so-so at best based from reviews. perhaps this is a welcome improvement from them finally.

TRN hits a lot harder. Truth ear has better trebles/mids by a wide margin for me and my taste.

It sounds like you might have had a bit of tinnitus. There's a fair bit of tinnitus caused by covid going around.

Has not happened since the volume memory on Mojo connected to Sony ex800 nearly blew my ears. I sold Mojo after that. My ears are alright now but they were ringing pretty good last night. Vivaldi needs some quality apparently

I really, really hope you can review the new Tangzu Zetian Wu, their new 14.5mm Planar that looks stunning. I'm about to order them but I'm gonna hold on until someone reviews them and gives a clear feedback.

Still love the V80!! Just upgraded it with a Tanchjim filter to get some more bass and smooth it out a bit. Currently using black cat cable. Sound very very nice 😁

Got the ST5 in today. Had to change to a warmer sounding dac. The treble can be pretty intense. Other than that I think they are great sounding for a lot of the music I have. I think they sound great with Fleetwood Mac, but again, they need a warm sounding dac. I will be listening to them much more than the short time I've gotten around to just now though. Good value for money, I'd say. - And, they need better ear tips than those that came with the set.

Got the TRN VX Pro today. They cost me around $56. Price is down enough to make a good buy. They please me more than the ST5. Upper mids and treble are better defined but not hissing or screaming. The s's when listening to both songs and videos are rounded off. They are more comfortable and I can keep them in my ears much longer than most other iems. I've still got to listen to your review tracks though but my impression is very good until now. I don't think I will change my mind very much. When I first listened to them on my FiiO Q3 the bass boost was on. That I can not recommend. The bass was totally out of shape. On my Shanling UP5, they are just great for a comfortable listening.

Found your review a bit too late now. After listening to the KAIs I have to find a set of iems that have a flat mid range to high, and heavy on the bass with a good rumble. I ordered these mostly because other reviewers talked about the bass but if the 8kHz is so noticeable I will have to eq it down. Good thing the cable is good and the price was just below $50. I guess I have to keep looking some more before I can find the ideal iems.

@@BadGuyGoodAudioReviews I'm really enjoying the KAIs. Not only for listening to Black Sabbath but I just love them when listening to Silk Sonic. But when Bruno Mars come on with his solo albums, I have to get back to my P1 MAX. So, it'll probably take another month before I receive the ST5. The Chinese are really taking their New Years celebration seriously.
