Hello everyone & welcome to today's EXTREME Whole House Deep Clean, Declutter & Organize, where we will also be doing some restocking and discussing 2 big topics in today's video, guilt, mom guilt & sentimental items! I've been meaning to discuss these topics for some time now and would like to talk more about these topics amongst other topics in the future! I think it is really important to not only go through the decluttering process but to also talk about the feelings and emotions that go into decluttering as well as discuss everyday mom life and the things we go through, so I really hope you enjoy today’s video, it is jam packed full of deep cleaning, decluttering and organizing motivation, so if you are looking to get jacked up on motivation lol this is your video! I'm a bouncy hot mess in today's video. We bounce all over this house and from one project to the next (per usual lol) but we always get the job done, it took about 5 days to complete but I finished the entire house! That’s totally fine Danielle, you can keep sentimental stuff until ur ready to slowly let go even if it takes 10-20 years. I have finally decluttered my grandma’s stuff after 10-15 years later

Do not be angry at yourself about the rug. You are still young, we all learn these things along the way. I have a rug cleaner I use for my area rugs. I use that after vacuuming them really well, the water is still dirty and let them dry in the sun. I try to do this once in the fall/spring and sometimes the summer but life gets in the way. Love your video about life getting in the way of cleaning. It happens if you have a life and you do!

You are one of the most genuine people on RU-vid... you're loving and kind and helpful and those are the qualities that really matter in this world. I used to get so wrapped up in my role as the homemaker that I'd get annoyed by stupid little messes that my family members made. It's good that you prioritize your family over keeping the house in perfect order but, like you said, it's super beneficial to dedicate even just 15 minutes a day to tidying up. I don't trust myself to do a nightly kitchen reset so I've made it a non-negotiable daily habit (when my energy level is more reliable) after breakfast and before I reward myself with a coffee break. If you find your little sweet spot and make it a part of your daily routine rather than a random event, you might even find you enjoy it! You could even try it for a week and make a video about your experience! 😊

For wax that is not scraping off, you can apply an ice cube, The wax will get colder and become more brittle, easier to get off. Works well with wax that has dripped on metal candle sticks. Loving the video so far, you are at the entry hall table!

With a fairly decluttered home, you are correct with it taking a very small amount of time to maintain. Including laundry, ours takes less than 15 minutes per day. Every day, I focus on one area. Monday(Bathrooms 2), Tuesday(Livingroom and Dining) Wednesday(Kitchen) Thursday(Bedrooms) Friday(Vacuum( and wash floors when needed) and Laundry room) Saturday(add ons). Every day, we do a load of laundry start to finish, run the dishwasher, and empty it, and do a quick pick up, less than 5 minutes. I can see your ADD struggle, and I feel for you. If possible, create a checklist prior to starting and do not deviate until each room is finished. My daughter really struggles also. Having a scheduled plan helps to keep her organizied, she does best with the calander on her phone that has reminders set. ❤

Just an idea… Next time you find wax on surfaces on your walls, try any type of a plastic gift card or credit card or anything like that. The plastic won’t damage the wall and effective on gradually scraping off the wax.

Love your channel and can't wait to see all the updates you are planning. I just wanted to let you know about the ground beef that is frozen and not divided up, pending on what you plan on making with it, I would fry it all up and then divide it up in smaller portions and freeze that. This way when you are in a hurry to make dinner like spaghetti or something that calls for ground beef you already have that step completed. Just a suggestion, I do that a lot and it really helps in those crazy nights to get dinner on the table! have a great week!

Hey Danni, ich habe einen Tipp für dich. Wachsflecken bekommt man mit einem Bügeleisen weg. Ein Küchentuch auf den Fleck, Bügeleisen auf niedrige Temperatur einstellen und dann vorsichtig über die zu behandelnde Stelle fahren. 😊 jedenfalls funktioniert das bei Tischdecken. Ob es auch an der Wand funktioniert?

Danielle you said you didn't know how to cook salmon? I just season it with seafood seasons then I just fry in olive oil it cooks quick, put the skin side down first, it's really good, I just make a salad and cook some sauteed diced potatoes like Wal-Mart brand frozen potatoes. It sounds like you have ADD, which a lot of ppl have it's not something to be ashamed of I have it to some degree my husband says I'm obsessed with clean floors but let other things go?? Why?? Ok, you're making me want to come through the screen, loading that dishwasher. The cereal bowls go on the top, in the same row as the little plates. They should face in, so the water can hit them. I'm not OCD, I promise, but THIS IS THE WAY!!! LOL! When you brought out the hamburger-me-"oh no." You, seconds later-"oh no." It happens. Good enough. Ok, the bare minimum you need to have done to be "good enough" is kids fed, clothed, healthy, and a safe exit from the house in case of fire. If those things are met, everything else gravy. Your "worth" isn't measured by the state of the home. Go back, read that again, take it to heart. Your "worth" is NOT measured by the state of the home!!! RIP rug. It's "distressed", you're "distressed". Loving the purple Skechers. Wonder if they make them in adult sizes.... The seasonal decorations look fantastic! You're killing it!

OMG that is why the bowls aren't getting as clean as I would like them to, why I havent figured that out before is beyond me LMBO seriously my bowls arent getting clean like the other dishes, and its been driving me nuts! So thank you for mentioning that I will be doing that from now on! And I cant believe I through that huge piece of hamburger in the freezer, quick question, if I unthaw it for a bit and chunk it up can I place it back in the freezer? I may have to chunk it up make a bunch of meals out of it and then any left over hamburger will have to go in the fridge for a bit? And I omg I cannot agree with you more on the "good enough" Because you're right, as long as those things are in order and taken care of, anything extra really is gravy (LOL, love that, I say gravy all the time too HA) And I needed to see this comment, more now than ever, thank you! I need to stop measuring myself, my worth, to the state of my home, I do that often and it isnt helping my situation and I love how you put that! And yes RIP to the rug HA! @@danniraearranged I'll send you a dishwasher pic via IG later, lol. As for the hamburger, there are different ways to go. If you know you're going to make a few batches of chili, I'd defrost the whole thing. Brown all of it (might need to do in batches) in skillet, chopped up, just like you'd do to put in the pot for chili. Now divide it out and freeze it in portions (1lb, 2lb, whatever works for the way you make it). Now, when you want chili, all you have to do is throw the already cooked meat in the pot with everything else and cook it a bit longer. Think of it as saving a step later. You could also use it for Hamburger soup and taco night. You've got this! When we buy bulk meat, the two of us do an assembly line thing. He weights and portions it out in nice blocks so they stack and I wrap up the meat in freezer paper, tape it, and label (HB date 90/10 1lb, for example).

It is going to sound crazy but I didn't realize untill lately that my house was the house.I have been here eleven years and have been a single mom for all that time.There are so any good memories here.This is where my dad stayed when in town and my nieces and nephews and cousins were always here .My dad passed away last Christmas Eve and he was the last of my parents and grandparents.I found out I have stage four cancer in June so Things have changed so much and I have alot of guilt about not being the same as before.I love you so much.Thank you for sharing.❤❤❤❤

My basement was a mess. I took 1/2 hour a day for five days and it’s actually nice and clean now. I cleaned the week before trash day so it was perfect timing. Always so glad to see your videos. Your videos make my day. Enjoy your day. ❤

Oh my goodness girl, you are not alone in the guilt!!! I have been there myself. I might have shared this before, but I will share it here. I was the messiest person ever. As you know I have one daughter, she's 14 now 😱. When she was smaller, and my husband worked outside of the home, my house would stay messy. He'd come home to a messy house. Before I found your channel and before I knew about cleaning videos on RU-vid (if that makes sense) I came across a video Grandma Griffin (no relation) about how to keep your house clean. Then I found Dawn the minimal mom and realized I needed to declutter my house. I still have areas I want to do(my master closet). But for the most part my house is decluttered. So I totally understand where you are coming from. My daughter is homeschooled and she isn't into extra activities, she'd rather play instead so I'm sure that's completely different from your schedule. But, if I don't stay on top of it, my house could get out of hand quickly. I use an app, I think I've shared it before, it's called TODY. It's helped me by maintaining areas in my home that I don't do on a daily basis. So give yourself grace on that. I know how much you want to stay on top of it (your home). So you just have to find a routine that works for you. I enjoyed your video today, and I like your singing voice. Remember if you want to add music you can always go to the RU-vid audio library, that's what I use in my videos and they are free to use.

I know exactly where you're coming from luv! It wasnt until I declutter my mudroom for the first time that it lit a fire under my butt LMBO, and then like you I started to slowly find other channels that helped me so much through this process, its nice to not feel alone, to know that there are so many others who have and are going through the same thing! I still have areas and items too that I have to go through, and no matter what your situation, I think it can be very easy for the house to get flipped upside down, life gets busy, but we really need to kick that guilt to the curb and give ourselves grace, we are doing the best we can! You're doing an AMAZING job and you should be so proud of yourself! Oooh and I did check out YT music thank you for sharing that with me, im trying to find some songs I like, it may take a minute LOL I could keep singing but I dont want to do that to all of you 🤣🤣 thanks for always being here with me friend! I loved this video it was very motivating to watch. ❤ I love how you decorated your fireplace in the four seasons for Halloween and also I liked the way you refreshed your table-scape in the dining room. I think that always looks really great too. So sorry your rug got damaged, but I do think you need one that is a bit bigger in your lounge anyway, so like you said you can swap them round. Finally, I laughed when I saw you arranging the bathroom draws because I thought who goes through that many toothbrushes, LOL!

"I feel like I should be doing a better job at maintaining my house." NO. **EVERYONE** in the house needs to do a better job in maintaining the house!!! I have mentioned this at least once, so I'm gonna repeat it: if YOU are the ONLY one who is doing the housekeeping/decluttering/"resetting" the house.... it will never end. I see why you still have content years after you have begun your journey... but if you are the only person on this journey, the house will never STAY decluttered/kept. It just WON'T.

😂😂🤣Watching someone else sweep or vacuum a hard floor is funny-‘over there! Over there! There’s a spot!’ And you see why you miss it yourself-the lighting-and I’m sorry, not cleaning floors from flat on the floor😂. No person should feel guilty when their house gets backed up! It even happens to the Good Housekeeping houses sometimes-we just don’t see it. One accident, a bout of flu running through everyone, sports season with kids-that’s all it takes. Ya just gotta catch it back up and move on! 😊❤ Because those people, and those memories are the only real things there. All that matters. It’s all that goes with us to the end-the things don’t.♥️ The two tier tray is perfect! Going to Dollar tree tomorrow so I hope there’s one left!🤞

Hey, girl friend! Love your video! I love the four seasons porch. I can’t wait to see what you guys are going to do with it. It’s such a nice space. Make sure to get it insulated when you do the make over. Then you can really use it. Still watching your video, you are sorting through your daughters clothes. Consider looking up Marie Kondo, and how she folds shirts/pants so they "stand up". Once you get used to it, it makes finding shorts/pants in drawers alot easier. Now back to your video!

Hey sweetie. Ya did a good southern accent ya’ll. 😀. I want to share with you that I lost my beloved husband 2 1/2 years ago. I have given a lot of things to the homeless shelter and Goodwill and there are a of things I have not gotten rid of and it’s very hard to even think about getting rid of those items. His closet still has his dress shirts/ties/suits and I have not been ready to donate any of those. So I understand what you’re saying. It’s okay to hang onto things that are so special. There are things of my husband’s that I will never get rid of because they’re sentimental. Having said that, what I always say about my house not being perfectly neat, like it used to be, if the pope or the queen ain’t coming over, who cares if the house is messy. (Of course now it’s King not Queen.) I really enjoyed your video today and how you shared with us. Hang in there kiddo. Blessings!!!❤❤❤

Consider putting shelves in the closet for your son's things. Consider looking at the Closet Made system, home depot/lowes have these adjustable wire shelving units. I like them. My sister doesn't like them, she prefers solid boards.

When you put out the larger video’s I’m always in shock because I say she can’t have that much left in her house. I understand you are making content for your RU-vid channel so whatever you are doing just keep it coming. Especially the funny videos with your momma. 💞 I use to have a candle obsession too. One day I looked at my A/C vents and I was shocked how dirty they were. They looked like smoke/fire had come out of them. I had read that some candles can make that happen. I generally buy good candles so that doesn’t happen but it happened because my home is only 3 years old and we bought it brand new and no one has ever smoked in here. After that happened I decided NO MORE CANDLES. Many people put their candles on a wax warmer but I decided to get rid of mine because I love burning candles and I didn’t trust myself enough and I know I would want to burn them. I can’t even tell you how much money I have saved from not buying any candles. I would always justify buying candles on sale and with coupons but let’s be real 0.00 beats the heck out of the best coupons and sales. I stay out of Bath & Body Works. I was shocked when I realized how much money I was spending in there. All those things add up. My husband and I have lived a debt free lifestyle for many years and we love living this way sometimes he use to let me know when I was over spending not because he was upset about it just because we always stayed within a certain amount. Since I’ve stopped buying candles, wallflower and things at Bath and Body Works that I certainly didn’t need he hasn’t mentioned to me once about spending. He actually said you haven’t been spending much money lately. Why? 😂 You are doing a fabulous job on your home and never have of feel guilty. As moms we do our best and that’s all that’s expected of us. Take care and hugs from Florida! 🌴🌴🌴

LMBO I say the same thing every time I do these long videos 🤣🤣 I think im finally at the point where im decluttering the everyday crap LOL like the stuff that will forever be in and out of the house, plus my husband (and mom 😆) still bring in stuff. However theres still the big items that need to go and I still have to go through sentimental stuff (oh and periodically the clutter zones, I dont think ill ever be done decluttering 😆) Im currently reading the "Gental Art of Swedish Death Cleaning" right now, I may apply that to the sentimental stuff since I have so much of it ugggh thats gonna be a hard one! I have a serious candle/wax melt obsession, those particular items are so hard for me, I only buy bath and body works when its on sale and I force myself to limit myself or else I go overboard in there too, my mom has bath and body works on speed dial 🤣 and that is absolutely amazing, you guys should be so proud, thats Ian and I's goal currently, we are trying to become completely debt free, its gonna take some time but I know we'll get there. Thats why I got rid of my RU-vid music, I had a subscription with Epidemic Sound, that were I got all of my royalty free music, Im decided to cancel it, at least for a little while, I dont know how much of my singing people are gonna wanna listen too HA LOL. But this month and next month were being super frugal because of December, not just because of Christmas but we have like 100 Birthdays in December too LOL. When we had the lockdowns and we had to homeschool, I created what I call a homeschool area (the dining room cabinets) and I kept calling it that for awhile and a while back I realized that I shouldnt do that, because I made it sound confusing, I cant remember how long ago it was but it was a long time ago, I talked about that, so I do apologize about that, but no I dont homeschool, although I have really, really thought and considered it! You can't help some random viewer on RU-vid remembers something in a video about 2 years ago 🤣 I'm not American and I wish I could have homeschooled when my son was young (He will be 25 in december), but we're not allowed here. So that's probably why I remember, because every time I watch a channel of some one homeschooling, my heart makes a little jump 😍 I'm so glad my son is grown now, because the indoctrination in schools have become so much worse the last years.
