Whole Interval recording 

It took me a while to understand the difference between partial and whole interval. Partial interval records a behavior if it occurs within the interval then you mark yes or plus or whatever, and then you don't have to keep watching for the rest of the interval because you only mark once. so if hitting only happened once and only for one second out of the two-minute interval then you mark yes. With the whole interval, the behavior needs to last throughout the entire interval, so if you are recording crying, the crying needs to last for the WHOLE interval, if it's even one second short then it does not count.

I'm too tickled at you saying Bobby doing his shit......I'm new to this field and I'm so confused. I have to collect data on a behavior that occurs in 1 minute intervals for 15 intervals. Would this type of data collection be considered whole interval recording? If so, do I tally every time the behavior occur within that one minute or do I wait until the one minute mark then tally just 1 for that 1 interval? Please help.
