"If I've made a man and I don't want him anymore, how do I kill him?" Briony being accidentally incredibly on theme by summing up the entirety of Frankenstein in one sentence
I enjoyed the slight implication of Boba getting vengeance for having to wake up so early for this by hitting the button early and rushing all the brits.
@@SajinZero05 Yeah, I commented that in one of the latest Minecraft build videos,.. to get both Rythian and Zoey.. Rythian's here now, only missing Zoey
Europeans must not have plants that pollenate in September-October because in North America we do and I am definitely affected by them and not spring plants.
@@hoathanatos6179 I'm Dutch like Zylus and we definitely have a shit ton of allergies around this time, especially this year. Myself included in suffering from them right now.
10:02 Instantly I pictured Brendan Lee Mulligan whispering deviled egg-related sins into Zac Oyama’s ear when Rhythian made the reference. I wasn’t expecting the Dropout-Yogscast intersection, but as an avid viewer of both, I am THRILLED with it lol
Boba, In DBZ when Gohan Teaches Videl how to fly, he says to focus your energy as if you are going to fire a ki blast, but then concentrate it on your feet and hands to lift yourself off the ground. Good luck in your dreams!
7:45 YES I also considered setting Wake Up by RATM at my alarm, but I didn't want to do it cos it's a great song and I knew that if I had to hear it every morning I'd hate it
Fun Fact: The term 'Spring' and 'Fall' come from the same origin - 'Spring of the leaves' and 'Fall of the leaves'. Autumn, aka the alternate name for Fall, comes almost directly from Latin, where the 4 seasons were: Hiems, Ver, Æstas, and Autumnus (Winter and Summer come from Proto-Germanic - Wentruz and Sumur)
I was just thinking the other day "autumnal" is such a nice adjective and wondering why I've never heard adjectives for the other seasons. But "vernal" totally makes sense now! I just looked up the other 2 and apparently the adjectives are: aestival & brumal (apparently from "the shortest"). We should totally be saying aestival solstice & brumal solstice!
Superheroes fly by leaning up. Like leaning left or right, but up. Technically, it's a universal anchoring system where you just lift the anchor point off the ground, which ties into superhuman strength, but leaning up is easier to understand. You can also do the minecraft thing where flying is just an extension of jumping. So you're in mid-air and jump, and then you fly. And you fall by crouching.
Boba! Your explanation for why we struggle to fly in our dreams totally clicked with me. I’m never able to stay off the ground for long, and it’s almost certainly just my brain struggling to understand how it would work. Wizards and cyborgs make sense, but not flying, because flying doesn’t have, like, a well established lore
Just think of it like, Superman goes fist first because he's just "throwing" himself. Ahahaha, or just go with the simple and say it's telepathy. Personally I just go with throwing.
@@guru1master100 I mean, Superman's lore started out with him "leaping tall buildings in a single bound" and evolved to flying because it's just more fun. Thor, on the other hand, throws his hammer and gets pulled by it.
Yeah...but the way he flies now does not reflect proper arcs of a thrown weapon. I think it's pretty safe to say that's how he started and he just flies now because it is more fun too.@@ImminDragon
Boba its explained that superman and other kryptonians can subconsciously manipulate theoretical particles called gravitons. Thereby influencing gravity around them allowing them propulsion
Lucid-Dream-Flying-Tip for Boba: Because your ventral medial medulla essentially "paralyzes" your body to protect you from acting out your dreams in real life you'll often find it difficult to do things like punching and running during a dream. Instead consider it as if you were underwater. To fly, imagine slowly kicking with you legs and pumping your arms like you would while treading water. Treat flying more like levitation and you'll find yourself zipping around in no time. You can replace other fast movements like punching with a slower equivalent like throwing. Hope this helps. Dream on, my dude!
That explains that timed I dreamed I was a world class martial artist but when I got attacked by evil henchmen none of my punches did anything no matter how hard I tried.
I would've guessed zylus's first build was colony survival . I do think halloween themed cafe is more cozy than bookcase library cafe, the fear of spilling on the books and all the books everywhere is just scary.
I've had Slowtown by Twenty One Pilots as my alarm for at least 6 years, and ngl, I still love the song. Not my favorite song by any stretch, but they're my favorite band. It's saying something when you can wake up to the same song for six years and not want to rip your ears off every time you hear it.
Whenever i flew in a lucid dream it'd always be sort of floaty, like swimming but just through air instead. Once i got off the ground a little it'd turn into the omni-man type of movement where I can just sort of move however i want
Kirsty, Briony, AND Rythian? YESSSSS! Kirbycrew! Let the chaos happen! I love Briony's little giggle! Good to see Boba back too! I want to see Gee, Tom, Lydia, Lolip, Bekki, or Simon get in on this! Shoutout to Rythian for referencing Loony Tunes and Eggs. Classic Rythian. 17:35 That is one of the MOST clever ways to make a clock I have EVER seen in Minecraft!! 19:44 Boba with the incredible reference. Fave build? Hmm... Probs Kirsty's desk!
Zylus, the weather isn't necessarily the same for spring and autumn globally. It might be in western Europe, but not where I live. I live in a mountainous area, and I spend a lot of time in the mountains. In the autumn, there is a thin payer of fresh snow on the ground often times. In the Spring, there is a consolidated layer of dense thaw-freeze-cycle snow. The spring snow is way easier and way more pleasant to travel on when hiking/climbing. On the other hand, spring has much more avalanche activity than fall does. Also, in the mountains, flowers don't bloom until summer, so allergy season there is summer, not spring. I love spring, summer, and autumn. But they are all very different to me. Even in the lowlands where i live, and where we don't receive much snow, there are differences. I generally find the weather in spring to be much more variable, with big rain storms followed by spats of sunny weather. In autumn, its often just rain all day for months.
Didn’t expect the inclusion of the rocket pop reference I appreciate the American references Boba cause when these guys talk about Christmas crackers and I’m lost
Mine always had me just sort of hover a foot off the ground. I wasn't really flying so much as I lean forward a bit, lift my legs off the ground, and drift where I wanted to go.
Whenever I have a lucid dream, I only move by flying. It feels very instinctual, I think about moving and I go there, the wind whipping by as I soar in the sky. Then I wake up forced to trudge upon the Earth once more, a slave to gravity.
There is an art, [The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Pick a nice day, it suggests, and try it.
I have the same problem flying in my dreams, I once strapped two bottles of coke upside down to my back like jetpack which did work but it only made me very light, i still couldn't fly, only like moon jump around
For those who don't know, solstices and equinoxes are spread out evenly throughout the year. Summer and Winter Solstices during the longest and shortest days of the year, Spring and Fall/Autumn Equinoxes at the halfway point between the Solstices.
I've only had one lucid dream and it was flying: It felt like swimming through the air while obviously lacking the density of water, though the air pressure still made it feel about the same when I sped up. When I angled my head down, gravity would go "Oh hey, you're diving? I got this!", launching me so fast that my stomach flipped over. When I arched my back up, just as I was about to hit the ground, I climbed back up at a ridiculous speed. I guess the best way to describe it was like being in a swimming dogfight. I woke up feeling sick and slightly dizzy, just FYI. Took me a few minutes before I could get out of bed.
I worked on a uni campus Starbucks that did middle school orientation days. do you know how many fucking Java chip frappuccinos I had to make for a line of 30 teenagers
@@boba69 Godspeed boba, we had a bus of middle school softball players the other day, like 15 of them. I worked in a local cafe at my Uni and god I miss it
I had that exact same problem as boba with flying in lucid dreams. I eventually figured out if i look at something high up i can like fly to it by trying to grab it. So when i see a building i look at the roof and imagine reaching for it i could start floating up to it. Idk hard to explain lol
22:02 I lucid dream too, and spent over twenty years experimenting with it. What I've come to find is that in dreams, focus creates density. By deeply relaxing into a meditative state, I've been able to phase through objects and non-border walls. No phasing out of bounds. By focusing on an object or your own form, you sort of solidify and capture that thing, as though gripping it with your mind, and through that, move it with your mental grip. There are some real world applications of this mental density theory as well. If you're stressed, like during a school exam, you find it harder to think and remember, but if you relax and meditate, you'll find that your thoughts flow easier, better delivering your memories and logic to the forefront.
